The Chiefs signed Calhoun to a reserve/future contract Wednesday, Charles Goldman of USA Today Sports reports. Calhoun didn't suit up for game action in the 2021 regular season, but did spend time on Kansas City's practice squad. Back in 2020, the 2016 third-rounder appeared in 10 games for the Patriots en route to logging 18 tackles and two sacks.

  • Patriots' Shilique Calhoun: Back with New England

Calhoun has re-signed with the Patriots, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. The 28-year-old -- who can play either defensive end/edge rusher or inside linebacker -- will continue to add depth and versatility to the Patriots' defense as well as chip in on special teams. The 2016 third-rounder logged nine tackles and a forced fumble in 15 games for New England last season.

  • Patriots' Shilique Calhoun: Inactive Sunday

Calhoun (personal) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Jets. Calhoun did not practice Friday, and his inactive designation does not appear to be related to injury. • Raiders' Shilique Calhoun: Inks deal with Oakland

Calhoun signed with the Raiders on Tuesday. The 2016 third-round pick got off to a disappointing start in Oakland, but given the Raiders' pass rushing troubles following Khalil Mack's departure, the Raiders seem willing to give it another try with Calhoun. The Michigan State product appeared in 20 games over the last three seasons and recorded just eight tackles over that span.

  • Raiders' Shilique Calhoun: Ruled out for Sunday

Calhoun (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chargers. Calhoune was absent from practice all week, rendering the decision to keep him out Sunday unsurprising. It will be the fourth consecutive game missed for the rookie. Tyrell Adams should continue seeing an increased role providing depth at strongside linebacker while he is sidelined.
