  • Rays' Trevor Martin: Moving back to Triple-A

The Rays optioned Martin to Triple-A Durham on Sunday.

Martin will give up his spot on the 26-man active roster to right-hander Mason Englert, who was recalled from Triple-A to start Sunday's game in Houston. Over six relief appearances with Tampa Bay this season, Martin has yielded five earned runs on 14 hits and four walks while striking out seven across 11.1 innings.

  • Rays' Trevor Martin: Rejoins big club

The Rays recalled Martin from Triple-A Durham on Sunday.

The rookie right-hander will be up with the big club for the fourth time this season after giving up five earned runs with a 6:4 K:BB across 10.1 frames in his first five MLB appearances. Martin should fill a low-leverage relief role while he's with the Rays.

  • Rays' Trevor Martin: Demoted to Triple-A

The Rays optioned Martin to Triple-A Durham on Wednesday.

Martin yielded two earned runs on four hits and one walk while striking out a batter in a three-inning, 43-pitch relief appearance in Monday's 10-9 loss to the Tigers. As a result of the hefty workload, Martin wasn't available for Tuesday's game and likely wasn't going to be an option for Wednesday's series finale, either. The Rays will swap him off the active roster for a fresh arm in Mason Englert, who was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move.

  • Rays' Trevor Martin: Back with Tampa Bay

The Rays recalled Martin from Triple-A Durham on Sunday.

Tampa Bay designated right-hander Andrew Wantz for assignment to clear room in the bullpen for Martin, who will be up with the big club for the third time this season. Over his previous two stints with the Rays, Martin made four appearances and logged a 3.68 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 5:3 K:BB in 7.1 innings.

  • Rays' Trevor Martin: Demoted to Durham

The Rays optioned Martin to Triple-A Durham on Wednesday.

Tampa Bay recalled Martin from Triple-A on May 15, but he went unused out of the bullpen for more than a week and a half before making a three-inning long-relief appearance in Tuesday's 6-1 loss to Baltimore after starter Griffin Jax (back) made an early exit. Since Martin was unlikely to be available for another day or two after the 52-pitch outing, the Rays opted to swap him off the 26-man active roster in favor of a fresh relief arm in right-hander Jonathan Heasley, who was called up from Durham.

  • Rays' Trevor Martin: Back from Triple-A

The Rays recalled Martin from Triple-A Durham on Friday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

In a corresponding move, Tampa Bay designated Aaron Brooks for assignment. Martin made his major-league debut earlier this season with the Rays, appearing in three games out of the bullpen, and turned in a 6.23 ERA and 4:1 K:BB across 4.1 innings. He's logged a 2.40 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and 16:8 K:BB over 15 innings at Durham.

  • Rays' Trevor Martin: Sent down to minors

Tampa Bay optioned Martin to Triple-A Durham on Sunday, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

Martin got his first call-up to the majors Monday and logged three appearances with the big-league club, allowing three earned runs on six hits while posting a 4:1 K:BB over 4.1 innings. He's headed back to Triple-A to make room on the active roster for Casey Legumina, who the Rays acquired in a trade with Seattle on Friday.

  • Rays' Trevor Martin: Added to bullpen

The Rays selected Martin's contract from Triple-A Durham on Monday.

He'll be absorbing the roster spot vacated by Mason Englert (forearm), who was placed on the 15-day injured list. Martin earned his first-ever big-league promotion after allowing just two unearned runs with an 11:6 K:BB in his first 9.1 innings with Durham.
