Bolte went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 6-2 loss to the Tigers. He was also hit by a pitch.
Bolte got the Athletics within one run early with a 411-foot blast off Tarik Skubal in the third inning. The rookie is off to a nice start in July, hitting safely in four of five games with two multi-hit efforts and four runs scored during that span. Overall, he's slashing .292/.373/.385 with three homers, 15 RBI, 18 runs scored and 11 steals across his first 186 major-league plate appearances.

Bolte went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one stolen base and two runs scored in Friday's 9-3 win over the Angels.
Bolte has shown more confidence on the basepaths lately, going 5-for-6 on steal attempts over his last 10 games. He's batting .294 (10-for-34) in that span. The rookie outfielder has hit leadoff in three straight games, all against right-handed pitchers, since Zack Gelof (hand) exited the lineup. Bolte is now batting .317 with an .814 OPS, 10 steals, two home runs, 12 RBI, 14 runs scored and six doubles over his first 40 major-league contests.

Bolte went 1-for-2 with a double, a walk and a hit-by-pitch in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to the Giants.
Bolte worked out of the leadoff spot since Zack Gelof (hand) was unavailable. This was just the second time Bolte has hit higher than fifth in the order. He has the speed for a leadoff role -- he's up to nine steals on 12 attempts this season -- and his 10 percent walk rate also makes him a good fit. After seeing a seven-game hitting streak snapped Tuesday while striking out three times, Bolte went deep in the seventh inning Wednesday for his second homer of June. The outfielder is hitting .310 with an .801 OPS, two homers, eight RBI, 11 runs scored, five doubles and six stolen bases over 32 contests this year. Bolte hit for modest power in the minors, aside from earlier this year when he clubbed 12 homers in 37 games for Triple-A Las Vegas prior to his call-up to the majors. His contact skills have been better than expected early in his big-league career, though he still has a 29.2 percent strikeout rate.

It took 25 games, but Bolte now has the first homer of his career. He went deep in the second inning off Milwaukee starter Robert Gasser. Bolte has maintained a steady bat in June, going 8-for-26 (.308) this month, albeit with a 1:14 BB:K. The outfielder is hitting .295 with a .756 OPS, seven RBI, seven runs scored, four stolen bases and four doubles through his first 89 plate appearances. Bolte carries a .440 BABIP and a 31.5 percent strikeout rate, both of which are indicators of regression, as the swing-and-miss problem will be more apparent if his hitting luck dries up.

Bolte had an eventful big-league debut, tallying a pair of hits on groundballs to third base, one of which Nolan Gorman whiffed on in the second inning and the other being one Bolte legged out for an infield single in the fourth frame. Bolte's lone out was still a productive one, as he lifted a sacrifice fly in the seventh inning for his first career RBI while also extending the Athletics' lead. The 22-year-old's promotion to the majors Tuesday came on the heels of a blistering stretch with Triple-A Las Vegas, where he posted an 1.076 OPS with 12 homers, 28 RBI, 41 runs and 17 stolen bases across 37 appearances. One of the organization's top prospects, Bolte should receive his fair share of opportunities in Sacramento, particularly in center field and against left-handed pitching.
