  • Liam Foudy C | NYI

Islanders' Liam Foudy: Inks one-year deal

Foudy signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Islanders on Tuesday.

Foudy produced 26 goals and 47 points in 60 regular-season games for AHL Bridgeport in 2025-26. His lone NHL appearance of the campaign came against Carolina on April 14, when he posted one shot on goal, one blocked shot and one hit in 11:17 of ice time. Foudy will probably spend most, if not all, of the 2026-27 season in the minors.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Set to start Game 4

Blackwood is expected to defend the road net against Vegas on Tuesday in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals, according to Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette.

Blackwood made three appearances in Colorado's second-round series against Minnesota, surrendering six goals on 47 shots en route to a 1-0 record. Scott Wedgewood has struggled in three playoff defeats versus Vegas, allowing nine goals on 73 shots. As a result, the Avalanche will turn to Blackwood in an attempt to stave off elimination and force Game 5 back in Colorado on Thursday. The Golden Knights have amassed 3.73 goals per game this postseason.

  • Canadiens' Mike Matheson: Nets goal in overtime loss

Matheson scored a goal and blocked two shots in Monday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Hurricanes in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Matheson picked up his first point of the series when he tied the game at 1-1 in the first period. The defenseman has been fairly limited on offense this postseason with two goals, two assists, 20 shots on net, 20 hits, 45 blocked shots and 18 PIM over 17 contests. He continues to fill a top-four role while generating most of his production in the non-scoring areas.

  • Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Opens scoring in Game 3

Gostisbehere scored a goal on two shots in a 3-2 overtime win over the Canadiens on Monday in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

This was Gostisbehere's first tally of the postseason. He has added two assists (both on the power play), 18 shots on net, nine hits, five blocked shots and 12 PIM over 11 appearances. Gostisbehere is filling his usual roles on the third pairing and first power-play unit, though his offense hasn't been as fruitful as it was in his 50-point effort over 55 regular-season outings.

  • Carter Hart G | LV

Golden Knights' Carter Hart: Looking to sweep Avalanche

Hart is scheduled to start at home in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals against the Avalanche on Tuesday, SinBin.vegas reports.

Hart surrendered three first-period goals in Game 3 on Sunday, but the Golden Knights were able to erase the deficit and earn a 5-3 win to put the Avalanche on the brink of elimination. It marked the first time Hart had given up at least three goals since Game 4 in Anaheim in the second round. The 27-year-old is in peak form, as he's posted a .948 save percentage and a 1.78 GAA during his current five-game winning streak. Forcing a Game 5 will probably be tough for the Avalanche, as Nathan MacKinnon and Valeri Nichushkin are contending with lower-body injuries, and their statuses for Tuesday's matchup have yet to be revealed.

  • Taylor Hall LW | CAR

Hurricanes' Taylor Hall: Scores in Game 3 win

Hall scored a goal on seven shots, added two hits and blocked two shots in Monday's 3-2 overtime win over the Hurricanes in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Hall had gone four contests without a goal, though he had a three-assist game in that span. The winger hadn't gotten on the scoresheet in the first two games against Montreal. He's up to four goals, nine assists, 32 shots on net, 17 hits and a plus-8 rating over 11 playoff outings in a second-line role.

  • Lane Hutson D | MON

Canadiens' Lane Hutson: Pots power-play tally in Game 3

Hutson scored a power-play goal Monday during the Canadiens' 3-2 overtime loss to the Hurricanes in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

The star blueliner snapped a slick feed from Cole Caufield into an open net early in the second period to tie the game at 2-2, but Montreal's scoring chances dried up after that -- the Habs managed just two shots on Frederik Andersen between the third period and OT. Hutson snapped a 13-game goal drought with the tally, but through 17 contests this postseason, he's collected three goals and 15 points. He may need to find another gear in Game 4 on Wednesday if Montreal is going to even the series.

  • Jakub Dobes G | MON

Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Another tough OT loss

Dobes stopped 35 shots Monday in the Canadiens' 3-2 overtime loss to the Hurricanes in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Montreal was outshot 38-13 on the night, but Dobes did everything he could to keep his team in the contest, only for Andrei Svechnikov to sneak a shot past him through traffic late in the first OT period. Dobes has had an outstanding postseason run, posting a 2.50 GAA and .910 save percentage in 17 games, but the 24-year-old netminder will need more help in Game 4 on Wednesday if the Habs are going to avoid being on the brink of elimination.

  • Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Wires home OT winner in Game 3

Svechnikov scored the overtime winner Monday during the Hurricanes' 3-2 victory over the Canadiens in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

The 26-year-old winger snapped a puck through traffic that managed to get past Jakub Dobes with a little under six minutes left in the first OT period. It was Svechnikov's first goal of the series, and after being held off the scoresheet completely in the first round against the Senators, he's bounced back with two goals and five points in Carolina's last seven games. Svechnikov will look to build up some momentum in Game 4 on Wednesday.

  • Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Hangs on for OT win

Andersen made 11 saves Monday in the Hurricanes' 3-2 overtime win over the Canadiens in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Carolina continues to play stingy defense and limit chances against Andersen, and the veteran netminder had little chance on a Montreal power-play goal early in the second period that tied the game at 2-2. He shut the door the rest of the way before Andrei Svechnikov found the OT winner. Andersen's 2.77 GAA and .804 save percentage in the ECF are alarming, but it's been good enough to get the 'Canes two wins away from the Stanley Cup Finals. He should be between the pipes again for Game 4 on Wednesday.
