  • Golden Knights' Mitch Marner: Notches two helpers in loss

Marner logged two assists and three shots on goal in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Hurricanes in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Marner has gone six games without a goal but still has six helpers in that span. He set up Brett Howden's first goal and Mark Stone's third-period equalizer in this contest. Marner leads the postseason with 24 points (seven goals, 17 assists) while adding 43 shots on net and a plus-13 rating over 18 appearances. A strong showing over the remainder of this series should give him a good chance to win the Conn Smythe Trophy.

  • Mark Stone RW | LV

Golden Knights' Mark Stone: Forces overtime Thursday

Stone scored a goal on three shots and blocked two shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Hurricanes in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Stone has three goals and an assist over four games since he returned from a lower-body injury that cost him five contests. His tally Thursday came with 1:21 left in the third period, forcing overtime, though the Golden Knights lost anyway. Stone is up to six goals, five assists, 26 shots, 21 hits and a plus-1 rating over 13 playoff appearances. He's still a bit limited, though his 19:57 of ice time in Game 2 was his highest total since Game 5 of the first round, which was a double-overtime win over the Mammoth.

  • Golden Knights' Brett Howden: Tallies twice in Game 2 loss

Howden scored two goals on three shots and blocked three shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Hurricanes in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Howden had the only goals for either team through two periods. He's put up four points over two contests against the Hurricanes as he continues to enjoy a productive postseason. Overall, the 28-year-old forward is up to 13 goals, three assists, 33 shots on net, 50 hits and a plus-11 rating through 18 playoff outings.

  • Carter Hart G | LV

Golden Knights' Carter Hart: Winning streak snapped in overtime

Hart stopped 22 of 26 shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Hurricanes in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Hart kept the Hurricanes off the board for over 50 minutes, but they responded with three goals in a span of 5:05. Mark Stone forced overtime, but Seth Jarvis won it for Carolina in the extra session, putting an end to a seven-game winning streak for Hart. The 27-year-old netminder is down to 13-5 with a 2.41 GAA and a .915 save percentage over 18 starts this postseason. With eight goals allowed on 55 shots in this series so far, he'll need to tighten things up on home ice in Game 3 on Saturday to put Vegas back in the driver's seat.

  • Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Supplies two power-play helpers

Gostisbehere logged two power-play assists in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Golden Knights in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Gostisbehere set up Jordan Staal's tally in the third period as well as Seth Jarvis' game-winner in overtime. The 33-year-old Gostisbehere has three goals and four helpers during his five-game point streak, with four of those seven points coming on the power play. He's at nine points, 22 shots on net, 14 PIM, 11 hits, 10 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating through 15 playoff outings.

  • Hurricanes' Mark Jankowski: Finds twine for tying goal

Jankowski scored a goal in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Golden Knights in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Jankowski's tally helped the Hurricanes erase a 2-0 deficit. It was his first goal of the postseason, to go with four assists, 12 shots on net, 14 hits, 12 blocked shots, 16 PIM and a plus-3 rating over 15 appearances. Jankowski is firmly locked in as the Hurricanes' fourth-line center, so there won't always be a ton of scoring chances for him.

  • Jordan Staal C | CAR

Hurricanes' Jordan Staal: Tips in power-play goal

Staal scored a power-play goal on two shots, added two PIM and doled out seven hits in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Golden Knights in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Staal has scored in two straight games and in three of his last four contests. This was his second power-play tally of the postseason as he continues to use his faceoff skills to help the Hurricanes get early possession when playing with the man advantage. He's at four goals, three assists, 23 shots on net, 74 hits, 13 PIM and a plus-3 rating through 15 playoff appearances.

  • Hurricanes' Logan Stankoven: Sparks rally in Game 2 win

Stankoven scored a goal on two shots and added three hits in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Golden Knights in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Stankoven won a puck battle in the offensive zone and tucked home the Hurricanes' first goal in a span of 5:05 during the third period. The 23-year-old was held off the scoresheet in Game 1 but has had more good moments than bad ones this postseason. He's up to 10 goals, three assists, 50 shots, 28 hits and a plus-7 rating over 15 playoff contests while playing in a second-line role.

  • Seth Jarvis C | CAR

Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Nets game-winner on power play

Jarvis scored a power-play goal on two shots and added three hits in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Golden Knights in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Jarvis' tally at 3:56 of overtime made sure the Hurricanes' third-period rally didn't go to waste. The 24-year-old has spent most of the postseason on the top line, but he was moved alongside Jordan Staal in the middle of this game. It's unclear if that change will stick heading into Game 3 on Saturday. Jarvis has produced nine points, 38 shots on net, 24 hits, 11 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating across 15 playoff appearances.

  • Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Collects overtime win

Andersen stopped 23 of 26 shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Golden Knights in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Andersen and the Hurricanes looked to be in trouble when they trailed 2-0 after two periods. The Hurricanes responded with three goals in a 5:05 span during the third, though Mark Stone was able to answer to force overtime, where Seth Jarvis won it for Carolina. Andersen has allowed eight goals on 49 shots over the first two games of this series as the Golden Knights look to be the toughest test the Hurricanes have seen in the playoffs. It won't get any easier as the series shifts to Vegas for the next two contests. Andersen is 13-2 with a 1.72 GAA and a .917 save percentage over 15 outings this postseason.
