  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Allows four goals in road defeat

Swayman stopped 14 of 18 shots in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Blues.

Swayman endured a difficult night, finishing with a .778 save percentage as St. Louis capitalized on its limited scoring opportunities. The Bruins generated considerably more shots than their opponents, but the veteran netminder couldn't provide the stability needed to keep them competitive. Swayman's established starting role should continue providing fantasy opportunities, although performances like this can significantly damage his ratios. The 27-year-old goaltender has lost three of his last four appearances, going 1-2-1 with a 3.23 GAA and an .870 save percentage in that span.

  • Joel Hofer G | STL

Blues' Joel Hofer: Stops 31 shots in win over Boston

Hofer stopped 31 of 32 shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Bruins.

Hofer delivered an impressive performance, finishing with a .969 save percentage while helping St. Louis secure a comfortable victory. This strong outing reinforces Hofer's fantasy appeal, and although his long-term value will depend on consistent starts, he seems to have created separation for the No. 1 role for now compared to Jordan Binnington. Hofer has gone 3-1-0 with a 2.00 GAA and an impressive .939 save percentage over his last four starts.

  • Akira Schmid G | FLA

Panthers' Akira Schmid: Tending twine Friday

Schmid will start Friday's home game against the Jets, George Richards of Florida Hockey Now reports.

Schmid has picked up wins in each of his last two appearances, and he'll draw a third consecutive start Friday. Across his last five outings, he's gone 4-1-0 with a 2.60 GAA and .893 save percentage. During Tuesday's road start against Winnipeg, Schmid turned aside 24 of 25 shots (.960 save percentage) en route to the 5-1 victory.

  • Stars' Jake Oettinger: Struggles against Habs

Oettinger turned away 16 of 20 shots on goal in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Canadiens.

Oettinger had a rare blip to his success this season, as he had his four-game winning streak snapped in Thursday's contest. In the losing effort, he allowed three goals in the first period, including a pair of goals within a 27-second span. Overall, the 27-year-old netminder now has a 6-3-1 record, a 1.69 GAA, a .917 save percentage and a league-leading three shutouts across 10 outings. Despite Thursday's rough outing, he remains an elite-level fantasy option with a level of upside that could capture him his first-career Vezina Trophy.

  • Jakub Dobes G | MON

Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Picks up win on low volume

Dobes stopped 17 of 19 shots on net in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Stars.

Dobes cruised to his first win since Opening Night on Thursday, as he allowed just one goal in each of the contest's first two periods. With the big win, the 25-year-old netminder is up to a 2-2-2 record, a 4.05 GAA and an .853 save percentage across six appearances. While he's likely ceded the lead role between the pipes to Jacob Fowler, who is currently on a six-game winning streak, Thursday's effort was a step in the right direction for Dobes in terms of earning the top spot on the depth chart back. Even if Dobes continues to sit behind Fowler in the majority of Montreal's remaining games, the former should still see a solid workload given his success as the team's lead option in 2025-26, which gives him a solid floor in fantasy. For now, however, Dobes is best left on waivers outside of deep fantasy leagues.

  • Penguins' Arturs Silovs: Tough loss Thursday in OT

Silovs made 30 saves in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Mammoth.

The Penguins looked like they had the win in the bag after rallying from an early 2-0 deficit, but Logan Cooley managed to bat a puck out of midair past Silovs with just one second left on the clock in the third period, and there wasn't much the netminder could do on Mikhail Sergachev's OT winner. Silovs has had a roller coaster beginning to the season -- he already has two shutouts in nine starts, but he's also given up more than four goals in four outings, leaving him with a 5-3-1 record, 2.98 GAA and .889 save percentage.

  • Mammoth's Sebastian Cossa: Carried to OT win by offense

Cossa turned aside 31 shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Penguins.

Cossa nearly blew an early 2-0 lead, but Logan Cooley bailed him out by completing a hat trick with exactly one second left on the clock in the third period, batting a puck out of midair past Arturs Silovs. That set the stage for Mikhail Sergachev to flip home the OT winner. Cossa continues to benefit from plenty of offense when he's between the pipes -- despite a lackluster 3.20 GAA and .857 save percentage in five outings (four starts), the 23-year-old netminder sports a 3-1-0 record as Karel Vejmelka's backup.

  • Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Hangs on for ninth straight win

Kochetkov stopped 24 shots in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jackets.

Carolina held a 3-0 lead after Mark Jankowski scored just 16 seconds into the third period, but Kochetkov needed to be sharp as Columbus staged a rally in the final frame that fell just short. The 27-year-old goalie remains unbeaten, going 9-0-0 with a 1.66 GAA and .919 save percentage to begin the Hurricanes' defense of their Stanley Cup championship.

  • Jet Greaves G | CLB

Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Falls to Canes

Greaves made 24 saves in Thursday's 3-2 loss to Carolina.

The 25-year-old netminder hadn't played since Oct. 20 thanks to a light schedule for the Blue Jackets, as he missed just two games, but the time off for Greaves didn't solve the team's issues at both ends of the ice. Through seven outings (six starts) so far in 2026-27, he's gone 2-4-0 with a 3.29 GAA and .884 save percentage, and since a 6-3 win over Buffalo in Columbus' opener, Greaves' offense has averaged just 2.0 goals a game in his appearances.

  • Senators' Samuel Ersson: Works in relief Thursday

Ersson allowed two goals on 22 shots in Thursday's 6-5 overtime loss to the Kings.

Ersson came on in the middle of the second period to relieve Jonas Johansson, who allowed four goals on 16 shots. This had been Johansson's third straight start in place of the injured Linus Ullmark (lower body). Ersson has yet to pick up a win in six outings this season, going 0-3-1 with a 4.46 GAA and an .849 save percentage. Look for Ersson and Johansson to split the Senators' next two games, which are Saturday in San Jose and Sunday in Anaheim. Neither of Ottawa's current two goalies is much of an option in most fantasy formats.
