  • Bruins' Billy Sweezey: Placed on waivers Friday

Sweezey was placed on waivers by the Bruins on Friday for the purpose of assignment to AHL Providence.

Sweezey rejoined the Bruins on a one-year, two-way contract in April and will head back to Providence to begin the 2026-27 campaign, assuming he clears waivers. The 30-year-old made 69 regular-season appearances with Providence last year and recorded a goal, 16 assists and 84 PIM.

  • Bruins' Jordan Harris: Waived by Boston

Harris was placed on waivers by the Bruins on Friday for the purpose of assignment to AHL Providence.

Harris signed a one-year, $850,000 contract with the Bruins in July, but he'll be left off the Opening Night roster ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. He made eight regular-season appearances with Boston last year and logged a goal, two assists, five hits and five blocked shots while averaging 15:54 of ice time.

  • Hurricanes' Aleksi Heimosalmi: Placed on waivers

Heimosalmi was put on waivers by Carolina on Friday, per Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports.

Heimosalmi had four goals, 17 points and 40 PIM in 52 regular-season appearances with AHL Chicago in 2025-26. The 23-year-old defenseman hasn't made his NHL debut.

  • Hurricanes' Pierre-Olivier Joseph: On waivers

Joseph was put on waivers by Carolina on Friday, per Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports.

Joseph had a goal and six points in 31 regular-season appearances with Vancouver in 2025-26. Based on his inclusion on waivers, it seems Joseph isn't slated to make the Hurricanes' Opening Night roster, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him summoned later in the campaign.

  • Jets' Isaak Phillips: Hits waivers

Phillips was placed on waivers Friday.

Phillips has logged just six regular-season NHL games over the past two seasons, generating one goal and six shots. Given his offensive limitations, even if Phillips is recalled during the season, he is unlikely to offer more than low-end fantasy value.

  • Lightning's Steve Santini: Surfaces on waivers

Santini was placed on waivers by the Lightning on Friday for the purpose of assignment to AHL Syracuse.

Santini made 12 regular-season appearances for the Lightning last year, recording no goals, an assist, nine hits, seven blocked shots and two PIM while averaging 10:20 of ice time. The 31-year-old recorded no goals, six assists and 10 PIM across 33 regular-season outings with Syracuse during the 2025-26 campaign.

  • Rangers' William Trudeau: Hits waivers

Trudeau was put on waivers by the Rangers on Friday, per Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports.

Trudeau had eight goals, 20 points and 54 PIM in 62 regular-season appearances with AHL Laval in 2025-26. The 23-year-old defenseman has participated in four AHL campaigns, but he hasn't made his NHL debut.

  • Lightning's Simon Lundmark: Placed on waivers

Lundmark was placed on waivers by the Lightning on Friday for the purpose of assignment to AHL Syracuse.

Lundmark made his NHL debut last year with a lone regular-season appearance with the Lightning in January, but he'll be left off the team's Opening Night roster ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. He made 54 regular-season appearances with Syracuse last year and recorded a goal, 10 assists and 22 PIM.

  • Rangers' Marc Del Gaizo: Waived Friday

Del Gaizo was put on waivers by the Rangers on Friday, per Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports.

Del Gaizo had nine goals and 27 points in 63 regular-season appearances with AHL Laval in 2025-26. He's part of the Rangers' organization as a result of the two-year, two-way deal he inked over the summer. Del Gaizo is likely to spend the vast majority of that contract playing in the AHL.

  • Ryan Johnson D | PIT

Sabres' Ryan Johnson: Waived by Buffalo

Johnson was placed on waivers by the Sabres on Friday for the purpose of assignment to AHL Rochester.

Despite making the Sabres' Opening Night roster ahead of the 2025-26 campaign, Johnson appeared in just three games at the NHL level before spending most of the year in the AHL. Assuming he clears waivers, the 25-year-old will head back to Rochester for the start of the regular season after he logged five goals, 14 assists and 40 PIM across 56 regular-season appearances at the AHL level last year.
