  • Marco Kasper C | DET

Red Wings' Marco Kasper: Deemed week-to-week

Kasper (upper body) has been given a week-to-week timetable for return.

Head coach Todd McLellan confirmed that Kasper will miss at least a week after being placed on injured reserve. The 22-year-old center played in Detroit's Opening Night matchup against the Rangers, but wasn't able to suit up against Winnipeg on Sunday. He's coming off a sophomore slump offensively, where he posted nine goals and 19 points across 81 regular-season games in 2025-26. However, Kasper does a lot of work without the puck for the Red Wings, who will hope to have him back on the earlier side of his week-to-week timeline for return. In his absence, Nate Danielson will likely be a regular contributor up the center of the ice.

  • Red Wings' Mason Appleton: Considered week-to-week

Appleton has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Senators and is considered week-to-week due to an undisclosed injury.

Appleton missed the end of the 2025-26 campaign due to an upper-body injury, and he's now facing a multi-game absence early in the 2026-27 regular season due to an unspecified issue. Across his first two appearances of the regular season, Appleton had been held without a point with six hits while averaging 9:51 of ice time.

Red Wings' Marco Kasper: Placed on injured reserve

Kasper (upper body) has been designated for injured reserve Tuesday, per the NHL media site.

Kasper was sidelined against the Jets on Sunday and will now miss additional games due to his upper-body problem. Fortunately for the Wings, their center depth will still get a boost with the return of Dylan Larkin (upper body). In 81 regular-season games last year, Kasper managed just 19 points, well below the 37 points he put up as a rookie the year before.

  • Dylan Larkin C | DET

Red Wings' Dylan Larkin: Activated off non-roster list

Larkin (upper body) has been taken off non-roster injured reserve ahead of Tuesday's matchup with Ottawa, per the NHL media site.

Larkin looks set to make his season debut after missing the Wings' opening two games of the year due to his upper-body problem. With the veteran center back in the lineup, he figures to reclaim his spot on the top line and No. 1 power-play unit. Considering Larkin has reached the 65-point threshold in five straight seasons, fantasy managers should feel confident in his ability to produce, even with his trade request lingering over the team.

  • Ridly Greig C | OTT

Senators' Ridly Greig: Eligible to return from suspension

Greig has served his two-game suspension and is eligible to return ahead of Tuesday's road clash with Detroit.

Greig was given a two-game suspension by the NHL Department of Player Safety after he fired a gloved punch at the face of Carolina blueliner Sean Walker, who was already in a headlock from Warren Foegele. Prior to the incident, the 24-year-old Greig put together solid all-around totals in the 2025-26 regular season, where he posted 13 goals , 35 points, 129 shots on net, 96 hits and 52 blocked shots across 77 outings. He could potentially make his season debut Tuesday against the Red Wings, and if he does, he'll likely slot somewhere in the Senators' middle six to begin his 2026-27 campaign.

  • James Hagens C | BOS

Bruins' James Hagens: Lights lamp again Monday

Hagens scored an unassisted goal in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Senators.

The 19-year-old spoiled a combined shutout bid for Ottawa with an aggressive forecheck early in the third period, as his pressure forced Samuel Ersson to misplay the puck in the corner and allowed Hagens to bank the puck home off the netminder as he scrambled to get back in position. It was a strong recovery for Hagens after it was his neutral-zone giveaway in the second period that led directly to a Drake Batherson tally. Growing pains are to be expected for the seventh overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, but Hagens has his first two NHL goals in four contests to begin the current campaign while adding seven shots on net, four hits, three blocked shots, two PIM and a minus-1 rating while skating on the third line at even strength and the second power-play unit.

  • Michael Amadio RW | OTT

Senators' Michael Amadio: Two points in Monday's win

Amadio scored an even-strength goal and added a shorthanded assist in Monday's 4-1 win over the Bruins. He also delivered two shots on net, a blocked shot and a plus-3 rating.

The 30-year-old was a menace alongside Tim Stutzle on the penalty kill, and Amadio fed the star center for the game's opening tally midway through the first period after intercepting a Boston pass in his own zone and launching a 2-on-1 break. Amadio scored his own goal early in the second, potting Ottawa's fourth on a one-timer from in close. He's off to a quick start to the season, collecting two goals and three points in two games, but Amadio's highly unlikely to maintain that pace -- his career high in goals in 16 from 2022-23 with the Golden Knights, and his best effort in points was the 35 he produced for the Sens last season.

  • Penguins' Ben Kindel: Earns pair of points in loss

Kindel scored a goal on two shots and added an assist in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Jets.

Kindel missed the season opener due to a lower-body injury, but he's come out of the gate hot. He has two goals, one assist, seven shots on net and three hits over his first two outings of the season. Kindel is playing on the third line currently, but he also works on both sides of special teams, so he's in a position to rack up a bit more all-around production than his current even-strength role would normally suggest.

  • Adam Lowry C | WPG

Jets' Adam Lowry: Pots goal Monday

Lowry scored a goal, added five hits and went plus-2 in Monday's 3-2 win over the Penguins.

Lowry's first goal of the season gave the Jets a 2-1 lead in the third period. The 33-year-old has collected three points, three shots on net, eight hits, three blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over three contests this season. He's working on the third line and doesn't have a power-play role, so Lowry's fantasy value will likely be limited to deeper formats and banger leagues.

  • Sharks' Macklin Celebrini: Being evaluated

Head coach Ryan Warsofsky said after Monday's 5-0 loss in Dallas that Celebrini (lower body) is being evaluated and will continue to be assessed Tuesday to see where he is at, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.

Warsofsky added that Celebrini is with the team and did not leave American Airlines Center after being a late scratch Monday. Ty Dellandrea made his season debut as a result of Celebrini's injury, while Alexander Wennberg centered the top line, though Warsofsky did a lot of line juggling throughout Monday's game due to the Sharks being thoroughly outplayed. If Celebrini is forced to miss any time, Wennberg will have heightened fantasy value, and Michael Misa should see an increased role as well. San Jose's next game is in St. Louis on Thursday.
