Copp scored a goal on five shots in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Flames.
Copp tied the game at 1-1 early in the second period, but the Red Wings couldn't keep up after that. The 32-year-old ended a three-game dry spell with the tally. Copp is centering the third line and seeing power-play time, so he should be able to chip in some supplemental offense this season. He has two goals, one assist, 21 shots on net, seven hits, six blocked shots and a minus-4 rating through 11 appearances this season.
