Aaron Jones RB | MIN
Vikings' Aaron Jones: Set to play Thursday
Jones (ankle) doesn't have a designation for Thursday's game against the Lions.
Jones played through an in-game ankle injury this past Sunday at the Giants and paced the Vikings backfield with 23 touches for 93 yards from scrimmage. His season-high touch count was aided by the fact that fellow RB Jordan Mason was knocked out with an ankle issue of his own, and Mason won't be available to the offense Thursday. As a result, Jones is in line to handle a workhorse role again in Week 17, with Zavier Scott and Ty Chandler serving as the options at the position behind him.

Michael Mayer TE | LV
Raiders' Michael Mayer: Slated for TE1 duties sans Bowers
The Raiders placed Brock Bowers (knee) on injured reserve Wednesday, which means Mayer will serve as the Raiders' No. 1 tight end for the final two games of the regular season, beginning with Sunday's game against the Giants.
Mayer has operated as the backup tight end for most of the campaign, though his best outing of the season -- five catches for 50 yards and a touchdown in a Week 6 win against the Titans -- came when Bowers was sidelined. With Bowers done for the year, Mayer will operate as the Raiders' top tight end in Week 17 and 18 while Ian Thomas and Carter Runyon provide depth at the position.

Devin Culp TE | TB
Buccaneers' Devin Culp: Limited with illness
Culp (illness) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
Culp seems to have come down with an illness, but his ability to practice even in a limited capacity implies that the tight end should be good to go for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. The 25-year-old will likely upgrade his practice participation later in the week and be cleared ahead of Sunday's game.

Minkah Fitzpatrick FS | NYJ
Dolphins' Minkah Fitzpatrick: Doesn't practice Wednesday
Fitzpatrick (calf) did not practice Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Fitzpatrick sustained a calf injury during the Dolphins' Week 15 loss to the Steelers. He is considered week-to-week due to the injury, which prevented him from playing against the Bengals in Week 16. Fitzpatrick is unlikely to play against the Buccaneers on Sunday unless he's able to return to practice by Friday.

D'Wayne Eskridge WR | MIA
Dolphins' Dee Eskridge: Doesn't practice Wednesday
Eskridge (toe) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Eskridge sustained a toe injury during the Dolphins' Week 16 loss to the Bengals, which prevented him from returning to the game. The fifth-year wideout will have two more opportunities to log at least a limited practice heading into Sunday's Sunshine State clash against the Buccaneers.

Josh Butler DB | DAL
Cowboys' Josh Butler: Out for Week 17
Butler (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Thursday's matchup against the Commanders, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
The Michigan State product returned to practice on Dec. 17 but will remain on the injured reserve list through Week 17. Butler has yet to play this season after posting 21 total tackles and five passes defensed across five contests in 2024. While he remains sidelined Thursday, Trevon Diggs and Caelen Carson (hamstring, questionable) will likely start as the Cowboys' top outside cornerbacks.
-
Tyrel Dodson LB | MIA
Dolphins' Tyrel Dodson: Dealing with chest injury
Dodson (chest) was a non-participant in practice Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Dodson logged a 95 percent defensive snap share in Sunday's loss to Cincinnati, but it appears he also picked up a chest injury. Beginning the week as a DNP isn't a great sign, but it's unclear how serious the issue is. Dodson will likely need to return to practice in some capacity over the next two days to have a chance of suiting up against Tampa Bay on Sunday.

Andrew Ogletree TE | IND
Colts' Drew Ogletree: Listed as DNP to open Week 17 prep
The Colts listed Ogletree (neck) as a DNP on Wednesday's estimated practice report.
Ogletree sustained a neck injury during the Colts' loss to the 49ers on Sunday. The injury prevented him from participating in Wednesday's walkthrough, and the fourth-year tight end will have two more opportunities to return to practice ahead of Sunday's home game against the Jaguars.

Payton Turner DE | DET
Cowboys' Payton Turner: Won't play Thursday
Turner (ribs) has been ruled out ahead of Thursday's matchup against the Commanders, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Despite practicing in a limited fashion throughout the week, Turner won't make his 2025 debut in Thursday's divisional matchup. While the 2021 first-round pick remains on the injured reserve list, expect Dante Fowler and rookie Donovan Ezeiruaku to serve as the Cowboys' top defensive ends in Week 17.

Tyler Goodson RB | ATL
Colts' Tyler Goodson: Nursing ankle injury
Goodson (ankle) was listed as a DNP on Wednesday's estimated practice report.
Goodson likely tweaked his ankle during the Colts' loss to the 49ers on Monday, when he turned three carries into nine yards and added 60 yards on two kickoff returns. He'll have two more opportunities to return to practice ahead of Sunday's AFC South tilt against Jacksonville.
