  • Packers' Matthew Golden: Doesn't play Saturday

Golden didn't play in Saturday's 23-19 preseason win over the Colts.

Though Golden wasn't one of the 29 Packers listed as not suiting up ahead of the game, the rookie wideout didn't log any snaps against the Colts. Golden's next chance to see game action will occur in this coming Saturday's preseason finale against the Seahawks, but it remains to be seen whether or not Green Bay plans to rest key players in the contest.

  • Texans' Christian Kirk: Makes preseason debut

Kirk caught both of his targets for 13 yards in Saturday's preseason win over the Panthers.

Like No. 1 wideout Nico Collins and starting quarterback C.J. Stroud, Kirk made his preseason debut and played the first two series before calling it a day. Kirk, who was acquired from the Jaguars during the offseason and is locked in as the No. 2 wide receiver, hooked up with Stroud on each possession in what was a successful performance by the first-team offense, working in conjunction with new offensive coordinator and play caller Nick Caley.

  • Colts' Adonai Mitchell: One catch in second preseason game

Mitchell had one reception for eight yards on his lone target in Saturday's preseason loss to Green Bay. He also had a key offsides penalty which negated a 38-yard pass play to Anthony Gould.

Mitchell has been a star of training camp by dominating opposing corners in scrimmages, according to James Boyd of The Athletic, but his path to success during regular-season games isn't clear. Mitchell sits fourth on the depth chart at receiver and the Colts may struggle to have competent quarterback play. Mitchell also needs to avoid mistakes like the one he made Saturday and last season. Still, he could surprise if given an extended opportunity this season.

  • Troy Franklin WR | DEN

Broncos' Troy Franklin: Two TDs in preseason win

Franklin brought in four of five targets for 67 yards and two touchdowns in the Broncos' 27-7 preseason win over the Cardinals on Saturday night.

Franklin shared the team lead in receptions and targets while checking in as the runner-up in receiving yards. However, the second-year wideout was the only Broncos pass catcher to get into the end zone, recording 27- and 16-yard touchdown grabs from Jarrett Stidham in the first and second quarters, respectively. Franklin put together an impressive training camp following an underwhelming 2024 rookie campaign, and the Oregon product could well be poised for an incremental boost in Year 2 while working with college teammate Bo Nix as his quarterback.

  • Pat Bryant WR | DEN

Broncos' Pat Bryant: Paces pass catchers in win

Bryant secured four of five targets for 70 yards in the Broncos' 27-7 preseason win over the Cardinals on Saturday night.

Bryant tied for the team lead in receptions and targets while setting the pace in receiving yards. The 2025 third-round pick also put together a solid showing in the preseason opener against the 49ers, and while he's projected to open the season down the depth chart, Bryant could claw his way to more snaps as the campaign unfolds.

  • Ravens' Devontez Walker: Picks up 61 yards

Walker recorded six catches on eight targets for 61 yards in Saturday's 31-13 preseason win over the Cowboys.

The Ravens sat all of their top skill-position players, setting Walker up to start. He continued to carry over the momentum generated by his strong practices during camp by delivering solid gains of 17, 14 and 11 yards Saturday. Both Walker's practice and game performances have likely pushed him off the roster bubble, and he may unofficially now be fourth on the wide receiver depth chart ahead of Tylan Wallace.

  • Josh Downs WR | IND

Colts' Josh Downs: Misses Saturday's preseason game

Downs (hamstring) did not play in Saturday's preseason loss to Green Bay.

Downs left Thursday's practice with a hamstring injury. Consequently, it's not surprising that he didn't play in the game, but the severity of the injury still isn't clear. He was able to walk off under his own power when leaving practice Thursday.

  • Alec Pierce WR | IND

Colts' Alec Pierce: Misses Saturday's preseason game

Pierce (groin) did not play in Saturday's preseason game against the Packers.

Pierce suffered a groin injury during last Sunday's practice and was said to be day to day, though he didn't practice last week. He likely would have missed a preseason game no matter the severity of the injury, so a more telling sign will be whether he returns to practice next week.

  • Roman Wilson WR | PIT

Steelers' Roman Wilson: Picks up 72 yards

Wilson recorded two receptions on four targets for 72 yards in Saturday's 17-14 preseason loss to the Buccaneers.

Wilson got the chance to start with DK Metcalf resting and Calvin Austin (abdomen) sidelined, and he took advantage by creating a few splash plays. Wilson got behind the defense for a 42-yard gain down the middle of the field late in the first quarter and then got wide open on the next drive to tack on another 30 yards. Wilson failed to gain traction in the Steelers' offense as a rookie after battling a few lower-body injuries, but he appears to be getting on track heading into his sophomore campaign.

  • Jonathan Mingo WR | DAL

Cowboys' Jonathan Mingo: Dealing with PCL injury

Mingo suffered a PCL injury in his right knee during Saturday's preseason game against the Ravens, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

Mingo will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury, but it sounds like Mingo could miss some time. It's a tough break for Mingo after he made a splash play, reeling in a 49-yard catch versus Baltimore one play before he was injured. Mingo is competing for a role behind CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, Jalen Tolbert and KaVontae Turpin in Dallas' wide receiver corps.
