Gage Larvadain: New opportunity with Baltimore
The Ravens signed Larvadain to the practice squad Tuesday.
Larvadain failed to make the Browns' 53-man roster at the end of training camp, but he'll get a new opportunity with an AFC North division foe in the Ravens. Rookie third-round wideout Ja'Kobi Lane is set to undergo surgery to repair a fractured wrist that he sustained in Baltimore's Week 1 win over Indianapolis, and with both Zay Flowers (hamstring) and Devontez Walker (groin) working through injuries, Larvadain could be promoted to the active roster for Sunday's home tilt against New Orleans.

Gage Larvadain: Cut by Cleveland
The Browns waived Larvadain on Sunday, James Palmer of The Athletic reports.
Larvadain served as the team's punt returner last season but lost out on that role to Isaiah Bond for the upcoming campaign. The 2025 undrafted free agent could be a candidate to land on Cleveland's practice squad should he go unclaimed on waivers.

Browns' Gage Larvadain: Used mostly on special teams
Larvadain finished 2025 with seven receptions on 14 targets for 71 yards over 13 games. He also averaged 7.0 yards on 24 punt returns.
Larvadain, an undrafted free agent in 2025, parlayed a strong preseason into a spot on the 53-man roster to open the season. The rookie wide receiver was eventually waived, brought back on the Browns' practice squad, and rejoined the active roster in Week 5 when injuries hit. Larvadain was used as a third, fourth or fifth receiver -- depending on the availability of others -- but never had a significant role in an offense that was limited by subpar quarterback play all season. He made a bigger impact on special teams, where he was used 45 times (including fair catches) as a returner of punts. Larvadain is under contract for 2026; however, the Browns have several offseason decisions that could determine his future with the team. Those decisions begin with choosing a new head coach and include reshaping the wide-receiver grouping.

Browns' Gage Larvadain: Limited usage in loss
Larvadain was not targeted on five offensive snaps and returned one punt for three yards in Sunday's 23-20 loss to Buffalo in Week 16.
Larvadain had experienced an uptick in playing time and targets the last three games, but that changed Sunday. He fell behind Malachi Corley (30 snaps, four targets) and was mostly limited to punt return duty. There's certainly room for upward mobility on the depth chart, but Cleveland's offense hasn't been kind to wide receivers in 2025.

Larvadain caught one of two targets for eight yards and returned one punt for one yard in Sunday's 31-3 loss to the Bears in Week 15.
Larvadain played a season-high 31 snaps on offense, as No. 2 wideout Cedric Tillman (seven snaps) was limited following a week in which he dealt with a concussion and a rib injury. Other than the increased snap volume, it was a normal week for Larvadain, who has five catches on eight targets for 49 yards the last three games.

Larvadain caught two of three targets for 18 yards in Sunday's 31-29 loss to Tennessee in Week 14. He also returned four punts for 16 yards.
Larvadain recorded multiple targets for a second straight week following a five-game stretch in which he was targeted just twice (zero catches). An injury to fellow depth wideout Malachi Corley (concussion) could create more opportunities for Larvadain going forward. He also muffed one punt but recovered it, giving him four muffs in the last two games.

Larvadain caught two of three targets for 23 yards and returned three punts for three yards in Sunday's 26-8 loss to the 49ers in Week 13.
Sunday's gusty winds in Cleveland challenged both teams, particularly on offense, but it also appeared to impact Larvadain on special teams. He muffed all three of his returns and lost one of them early in the fourth quarter. It led to a San Francisco touchdown that left the Browns needing to make up a two-touchdown deficit, a challenge for an offense that isn't structured to score in volume. Larvadain's two catches Sunday were his first since Week 6, and the rookie now has four catches on nine targets for 45 yards through eight games while adding 142 punt return yards.

Larvadain was not targeted and had four punt returns for 81 yards in Sunday's 24-10 win over the Raiders in Week 12.
Larvadain's greatest impact came the first time he touched the ball, when he returned a first-quarter punt 44 yards to set up Cleveland's first touchdown. While he continues to get steady work on special teams, it was another invisible day on offense for the undrafted free agent, who has just one target over the last four contests and six in seven games.

Larvadain was on the field for just four offensive snaps but was in position to make an impact on his lone target. With just over a minute left in the game, the ball was in Larvadain's hands in the end zone, but Ravens cornerback Chidobe Awuzie ripped it from his grasp. The target was Larvadain's first since Week 7, and the four snaps Sunday make it clear where he stands on the depth chart. His main value to Cleveland is on special teams, and he leads the team with nine punt returns.

Larvadian continues to progress through the NFL's five-step concussion protocol, as he was a non-participant at practice Wednesday. If he can upgrade to full practice reps Friday, Larvadain could have a chance to clear the concussion protocol in time to suit up at home against the Dolphins on Sunday. He'll need to gain full clearance, including from an independent neurologist, before being eligible to return to game action.
