Jamison Crowder WR | WAS
Jets' Jamison Crowder: Inactive Sunday
Crowder (calf) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
Crowder was considered doubtful after sitting out practice this week, so it's no surprise he's sitting out Sunday. Braxton Berrios should step up as New York's primary slot wideout, while Keelan Cole and Denzel Mims operate as the top two receivers.
-
DJ Moore WR | BUF
Panthers' DJ Moore: Available for Week 16
Moore (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, Jonathan M. Alexander of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Moore was listed as questionable heading into the weekend after not practicing Wednesday and Thursday before returning to the field in a limited fashion Friday. Though he didn't log a full practice this week, the Panthers haven't indicated that Moore will be subject to a lighter workload as a result. He'll likely be sharing the field with both Cam Newton and Sam Darnold at various points during Sunday's game, as head coach Matt Rhule indicated that both quarterbacks will pick up snaps.
-
Josh Reynolds WR | NYJ
Lions' Josh Reynolds: Suiting up in Week 16
Reynolds (thigh) is listed active Sunday in Atlanta.
As he did last week, Reynolds followed up three straight limited listings on injury reports and a questionable designation with active standing once game day arrived. Only this time, he'll be operating with Tim Boyle instead of Jared Goff (illness), who remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list. In his only NFL start back in Week 11 at Cleveland, Boyle mustered 77 yards on 23 pass attempts, so Reynolds and the rest of the Lions receivers may be in store for subdued performances.
-
Devin Duvernay WR | ARI
Ravens' Devin Duvernay: Not playing against Bengals
Duvernay (ankle) won't play Sunday against the Bengals.
As expected, Duvernay has been ruled out for this contest after he couldn't practice during the entire week. This is his first absence of the season. Marquise Brown and Rashod Bateman should serve as Baltimore's top two wideouts with Sammy Watkins (undisclosed) on the COVID list, leaving James Proche, Miles Boykin and Tylan Wallace to round out the receiving corps.
-
Adam Thielen WR | PIT
Vikings' Adam Thielen: Cleared to play
Thielen (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Rams, Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Sidelined for the past two games with a left high-ankle sprain, Thielen was able to practice twice on a limited basis this week, which was good enough for the Vikings to sign off on him making his return to the lineup. Unless his ankle acts up during the contest, Thielen should be in store for a full snap load while working alongside Justin Jefferson and K.J. Osborn in three-receiver sets.
-
C.J. Saunders WR | ATL
Panthers' C.J. Saunders: Bumped up from practice squad
Saunders was elevated to the active roster Sunday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Saunders will potentially get his first taste of NFL action against the Buccaneers after Brandon Zylstra was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Sunday. The Ohio State product signed with the Panthers in the offseason as an undrafted free agent after missing 2019 with an injury and being denied a sixth season of collegiate eligibility in 2020.
-
Mike Evans WR | SF
Buccaneers' Mike Evans: Could return for Weeks 17 and 18
Evans (hamstring), who is listed as out for Sunday's game against the Panthers, has a chance to return for the Buccaneers' final two contests of the regular season, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Tampa Bay is viewing Evans as week-to-week after he injured his hamstring in last Sunday's loss to the Saints, but the 28-year-old appears to be dealing with a low-grade strain that should take a long-term absence off the table. That said, after failing to practice in any capacity Wednesday through Friday, Evans will likely need to return to the field next week as at least a limited participant in order to have a realistic shot at suiting up for the Buccaneers' upcoming matchup with the Jets. With both Evans and Chris Godwin (knee) -- who is out for the season -- sidelined in Carolina, the Buccaneers will turn to a combination of Tyler Johnson, Scotty Miller and Justin Watson to fill snaps at receiver behind No. 1 wideout Antonio Brown, who is making his return to the lineup after a multi-week absence.
-
Trinity Benson WR | CLE
Lions' Trinity Benson: Not eligible to play Week 16
The Lions didn't reinstate Benson from the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday, making him ineligible to play Sunday against the Falcons.
After being deactivated Thursday, Benson is one of four members of the Lions' roster who will remain on the list ahead of the team's Week 16 game. The wideout hasn't suited up for a game since Week 10, as he's either been out with a knee injury or a healthy inactive.
-
Tyler Johnson WR | DAL
Buccaneers' Tyler Johnson: Set to fill in for Godwin
Johnson is expected to serve as the primary replacement for Chris Godwin (knee) in Sunday's game against the Panthers, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
Tampa Bay will get Antonio Brown back from a lengthy absence due to an ankle sprain and a suspension, but the losses of Godwin for the season and Mike Evans (hamstring) for at least Week 16 should open up more snaps at receiver for the likes of Johnson, Scotty Miller and Justin Watson. Considering Johnson had already been playing 60-plus percent of the Bucs' offensive snaps in all but one of the team's last eight games, he's likely a better bet than Miller and Watson to absorb the larger portion of Godwin's and Evans' vacated targets. Johnson had already stepped up when the two starting wideouts exited early in last week's 9-0 loss to the Saints, finishing with four receptions for 41 yards on seven targets.
-
Kadarius Toney WR | CLE
Giants' Kadarius Toney: Trending toward playing
Toney (oblique/quadriceps) remains questionable for Sunday's game against the Eagles but is expected to play, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Toney's availability should be confirmed when the Giants release their inactive list 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Considering Toney hasn't played since Week 11 and has managed only one limited practice in the last five weeks, the Giants may be inclined to ease him back in with a lighter snap count than usual, making him a shaky fantasy option.
