  • Ja'Marr Chase WR | CIN

Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase: Quiet in Week 1 loss

Chase caught five of nine targets for 39 yards and rushed once for two yards in Sunday's 24-3 loss to the Browns.

Chase accounted for more than half of Joe Burrow's first-half passing yardage, but that was unfortunately just 19 of 36 yards as the Bengals trailed 10-0 at halftime. The star receiver drew an 18-yard pass interference penalty to set up a field goal for the Bengals' first points on their first possession after halftime, but it was more of the same from there, as Burrow finished with a meager 82 passing yards. Fellow wide receiver Tee Higgins failed to catch any of his eight targets, so at least Chase still managed to salvage something from this disastrous road performance out of the Bengals' offense. Chase and his teammates will look to bounce back at home in Week 2 against the Ravens.

  • George Pickens WR | DAL

Steelers' George Pickens: Limited to 36 yards in loss

Pickens secured five of seven targets for 36 yards during the Steelers' 30-7 loss to San Francisco on Sunday.

Even though Diontae Johnson (hamstring) was unavailable in the fourth quarter of Sunday's matchup, Pickens was unable to generate a stellar stat line in the blowout loss. However, the 2022 second-rounder had an impressive sideline catch in the end zone in which he was narrowly out of bounds. Despite his lackluster performance overall, Pickens still ranked second on the team in targets and should serve as one of the Steelers' top pass-catching options, especially if Johnson is forced to miss additional time.

  • Allen Robinson WR | DET

Steelers' Allen Robinson: Leads team in receiving yards

Robinson secured five of eight targets for 64 yards during the Steelers' 30-7 loss to San Francisco on Sunday.

Robinson was held in check during the preseason, but he impressed during his regular-season debut with the Steelers. He racked up 53 receiving yards in the fourth quarter after Diontae Johnson (hamstring) was ruled out for the remainder of the game, so Robinson's role in Week 2 will likely depend on Johnson's availability. However, it was an encouraging start to the season for the 30-year-old following back-to-back disappointing campaigns with the Bears and Rams.

  • Bears' Velus Jones: Will sit out season opener

Jones was ruled a healthy scratch ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Packers.

Jones dealt with an undisclosed injury throughout training camp and was on the fringe of making Chicago's final 53-man roster ahead of the regular season. While he is now listed as healthy, the 2022 third-round pick won't get to see the field Week 1, as Tyler Scott and/or Trent Taylor will likely handle return duties on special teams while also slotting into reserve roles behind starting wideouts DJ Moore, Darnell Mooney and Chase Claypool. Equanimeous St. Brown was also ruled a healthy scratch Week 1, as it's likely he and Jones will be on the outside looking in on Chicago's wide receiver room this season.

  • Bears' Equanimeous St. Brown: Won't suit up Sunday

St. Brown (coach's decision) was ruled inactive for Sunday's season opener versus Green Bay.

St. Brown caught a career-high 21 passes (on 38 targets) for 323 yards across 16 games with Chicago last season. However, his role should be diminished in the team's now crowded wide receiver corps this season, as DJ Moore, Darnell Mooney and Chase Claypool are expected to round out the Bears' starting trio. With Velus Jones (coach's decision) also inactive, veteran Trent Taylor and rookie Tyler Scott will slot in as the Bears' reserve wideouts Week 1.

  • Tre Tucker WR | LV

    Raiders' Tre Tucker: Healthy inactive

Tucker (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's matchup against the Broncos.

A rookie third-round pick, Tucker presumably will play a big role for the Raiders eventually. However, Tucker finds himself behind Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers, Hunter Renfrow, DeAndre Carter and Kristian Wilkerson on the depth chart to start the year.

  • Steelers' Diontae Johnson: Done for day with hamstring injury

Johnson exited in the third quarter of Sunday's game against the 49ers with a right hamstring injury and won't return, Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Per Alan Saunders of PittsburghSportsNow.com, Johnson suffered the injury when he was tackled on a 26-yard catch and run in the opening minute of the third quarter. The wideout recorded three catches for 48 yards on six targets before departing, but he was once again held out of the end zone to extend his streak of regular-season games without a touchdown to 19. Johnson will have an extra day to heal up from the injury with Pittsburgh returning to action against the Browns on Monday night in Week 2.

  • DeAndre Carter WR | CLE

Raiders' DeAndre Carter: Available for Week 1

Carter (knee) is active for Sunday's matchup against the Broncos.

Carter was deemed questionable for the season opener due to a knee injury that popped up Wednesday, but he'll be good to go. With the Chargers last year, Carter caught 46 of 65 targets for 538 yards and three scores, but he's behind Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers and Hunter Renfrow in Las Vegas. However, Carter is expected to handle both punt and kick returns for the Raiders.

  • DeVante Parker WR | PHI

Patriots' DeVante Parker: Won't play Sunday

Parker (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Eagles.

A knee issue limited Parker at practice this past week, and he'll sit out the Patriots' opener while targeting a potential return in Week 2. In his absence, rookies Demario Douglas and Kayshon Boutte should have an opportunity to see increased snaps Sunday alongside fellow WRs JuJu Smith-Schuster and Kendrick Bourne.

  • Dolphins' Cedrick Wilson: Healthy scratch Sunday

Wilson (coach's decision) has been ruled inactive for Sunday's contest against the Chargers.

Wilson agreed to a reworked contract to stick with Miami during the team's final roster cuts, though it appears he'll be passed over for the season opener. In his stead, Erik Ezukanma and River Cracraft will slot in behind starting wideouts Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle and Braxton Berrios. Wilson caught 12 passes on 18 targets across 15 games in 2022, so he doesn't figure to make a significant impact unless there are injuries to Miami's starting wide receiver unit this season.
