Allen Lazard WR | NYJ
Jets' Allen Lazard: Two catches after Rodgers injury
Lazard caught two of four targets for 46 yards in Monday's 22-16 overtime win over the Bills.
Lazard's decision to join the Jets in the offseason was undoubtedly influenced by the then-impending arrival of quarterback Aaron Rodgers, but the former Packers teammates played just four snaps together before Rodgers suffered what is feared to be a season-ending Achilles injury. Lazard went on to lead the team in receiving yards as backup Zach Wilson threw for 140 yards in a win fueled by the defense's four forced Josh Allen turnovers. Lazard is locked into a starting role on the outside heading into a Week 2 trip to Dallas, but that prominent usage is much less exciting with Wilson throwing the ball rather than Rodgers.

Garrett Wilson WR | NYJ
Jets' Garrett Wilson: Spectacular TD after Rodgers injury
Wilson caught all five of his targets for 34 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 22-16 overtime win over the Bills.
Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) exited the game on the Jets' first drive, and the starting quarterback may have suffered a season-ending injury. Zach Wilson (no relation to Garrett) failed to get New York's top target involved consistently, but the second-year receiver still came up with the highlight of the night on his game-tying, two-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter. Wilson reached across his body and used his right hand to corral a poorly thrown ball, then juggled it with the same hand and proceeded to gain possession while falling back for an early catch-of-the-year candidate. It was Garrett's first career touchdown from Zach, who started nine games last season. The 2022 Offensive Rookie of the Year is a tremendous talent, but his fantasy stock would take a major hit in Week 2 against the Cowboys and for the rest of the season if Rodgers' feared Achilles tear is confirmed in the coming days.

Stefon Diggs WR | NE
Bills' Stefon Diggs: Shines in tough matchup
Diggs caught 10 of 13 targets for 102 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 22-16 overtime loss to the Jets.
Diggs gave the Bills a 10-3 lead with a five-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter. Four turnovers by quarterback Josh Allen had the Bills on the ropes down the stretch in regulation, but Diggs came up clutch late with three catches for 40 yards in the two-minute drill to set up a game-tying field goal, though Buffalo ultimately fell short in overtime. The star receiver was undaunted by a tough matchup against cornerback Sauce Gardner and the stout New York secondary while no teammate had more than 32 receiving yards. Locked in as the top receiver in Buffalo's high-powered passing game, Diggs should find more space to operate in Week 2 against the Raiders at home.

Kirk Merritt WR | NO
Saints' Kirk Merritt: Plays special-teams role Week 1
Merritt did not log a carry during Sunday's 16-15 win versus the Titans.
Merritt played only two of his eight total snaps on offense during New Orleans' season opener. With Alvin Kamara suspended, the Saints also elevated running back Tony Jones from the practice squad ahead of Sunday's matchup, though he also played just seven offensive snaps behind temporary No. 1 running back Jamaal Williams (49). With versatile offensive player Taysom Hill also available for occasional carries, it's likely the Saints continue to heavily rely on Williams and Merritt consequently sees minimal opportunity.
-
Keith Kirkwood WR | BAL
Saints' Keith Kirkwood: Sees one target Week 1
Kirkwood failed to bring in his only target during Sunday's 16-15 victory against the Titans.
Kirkwood was targeted on a deep pass from Derek Carr in the third quarter, but he was essentially invisible while playing 22 offensive snaps Sunday. The veteran role player was the Saints' only other available wideout aside from the team's starting trio of Chris Olave, Michael Thomas and Rashid Shaheed. Barring injuries elsewhere, Kirkwood figures to see fringe, if any, usage this season, especially when/if rookie A.T. Perry (coach's decision) is active or Tre'Quan Smith (groin) returns from IR in the coming weeks.
-
Chris Moore WR | WAS
Titans' Chris Moore: Targeted once
Moore saw one target but recorded no receptions in Sunday's 16-15 loss to the Saints.
Moore had the potential to serve as the slot receiver for the Titans for much of the offseason, though the addition of DeAndre Hopkins pushed him down the depth chart. That became clear in Week 1, as Moore only saw one target and played just nine offensive snaps. Barring injury, he isn't likely to play a big role in the Tennessee offense.

Britain Covey WR | PHI
Britain Covey: Back to practice squad
Covey reverted to the Eagles' practice squad Monday.
Covey logged five snaps on special teams and logged two punt returns for a combined 30 yards in the team's 25-20 win over the Patriots in Week 1. The wide receiver will now wait for his next chance to be elevated to the active roster.
-
Laviska Shenault Jr. WR | BUF
Panthers' Laviska Shenault: Gets four touches
Shenault caught both of his targets for 16 yards and rushed twice for five yards in Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Falcons.
Shenault played nearly a third of Carolina's offensive snaps while fellow receiver DJ Chark (hamstring) was sidelined. Although he holds some gadget utility, Shenault's tepid value could dip down if Chark returns for Week 2's matchup versus the Saints.
-
Terrace Marshall Jr. WR | MIA
Panthers' Terrace Marshall: Catches two passes
Marshall caught two of six targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Falcons.
Marshall overcame a back injury to suit up and ultimately lead Carolina's receivers in snaps. Featuring on 90 percent of the offensive plays, Marshall tied for second in targets, trailing tight end Hayden Hurst's seven. Although his production wasn't anything special, Marshall's usage with DJ Chark (hamstring) sidelined was encouraging. He could remain regularly involved alongside rookie Jonathan Mingo even when Chark returns to his place in the starting lineup with Adam Thielen.

Juwann Winfree WR | HOU
Juwann Winfree: Back to practice squad
Winfree reverted to the Colts' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Winfree saw the field for five offensive snaps out of a possible 70 in Week 1 against the Jaguars, but he failed to record any stats. He also participated on three special-teams plays. He will now continue to put in work at practice while waiting for another opportunity to be called up.
