Davante Adams WR | LAR
Raiders' Davante Adams: Misses practice with foot issue
Adams was held out of Wednesday's practice with a foot injury.
Adams didn't appear to be affected by an injury while running a route on each of the Raiders' passing plays in a 17-16 win over Denver this past Sunday. He finished with a 6-66-0 receiving line on nine targets while mostly being shadowed by Denver's top cornerback, Patrick Surtain. If he's able to overcome the foot injury, Adams will get another tough matchup Week 2 at Buffalo. The Raiders may need Adams even more than usual, if that's possible, considering Jakobi Meyers is in the concussion protocol and depth receiver DeAndre Carter missed practice with a knee injury Wednesday.

Curtis Samuel WR | BUF
Commanders' Curtis Samuel: Tending to hip issue
Samuel was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a hip injury.
Samuel is no stranger to health concerns since entering the league in 2017, playing 76 of a possible 99 games in his career. He was able to log a full 17-game slate in 2022 on his way to a 64-656-4 receiving line on 92 targets while also chipping in 187 rushing yards and a score on the ground. Samuel kicked off the current campaign this past Sunday against the Cardinals by hauling in all five targets for 54 yards and gaining six yards on his lone carry. Samuel's health will need to be monitored ahead of a Week 2 road matchup with the Broncos this Sunday.

DeAndre Hopkins WR | BAL
Titans' DeAndre Hopkins: Misses practice Wednesday
Hopkins didn't practice Wednesday due to an ankle injury, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Meanwhile, fellow wideout Treylon Burks was excused from practice Wednesday for personal reasons but is expected back Thursday. With a missed session under his belt, Hopkins' status is now worth monitoring as Sunday's game against the Chargers approaches. In the Titans' Week 1 loss to the Saints, Hopkins caught seven passes (on 13 targets) for 65 yards.

Jaylen Waddle WR | DEN
Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Limited in Wednesday's practice
Waddle (oblique) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, David Furones of the Sun Sentinel reports.
Waddle was nursing an oblique injury before Miami's Week 1 game against the Chargers, but he suited up for the season opener and didn't seem hindered by the injury, catching four of five targets for 78 yards while playing 65 percent of the offensive snaps. The 2021 first-round pick doesn't seem to be in danger of sitting out against the Patriots this Sunday, but an upgrade to full participation Thursday or Friday would help put his fantasy managers' minds at ease.

Wan'Dale Robinson WR | TEN
Giants' Wan'Dale Robinson: Stays limited at practice
Robinson (knee) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
As was the case last week, Robinson continues to have his practice reps capped while he's in the final stages of his recovery from the torn ACL that he suffered Week 11 of last season. The Giants made him inactive for this past Sunday's loss to the Cowboys, and he may not get the green light to make his season debut until he's able to log a full practice. Until Robinson returns, New York will rely on Isaiah Hodgins, Darius Slayton, Parris Campbell, Jalin Hyatt and Sterling Shepard at wide receiver.

Allen Robinson WR | DET
Steelers' Allen Robinson: Takes on key role with Johnson out
Robinson could play a larger role Monday against the Browns and for the next few games with Diontae Johnson (hamstring) expected to miss multiple weeks, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Robinson led the Steelers with 64 receiving yards in his team debut against the 49ers last weekend, while Johnson hurt his hamstring in that same game. The Steelers don't have much established depth at receiver behind George Pickens and Robinson, who has three 1,000-yard seasons in his career but had just 749 yards over the previous two campaigns combined.

Brandin Cooks WR | BUF
Cowboys' Brandin Cooks: Dealing with knee issue
Cooks was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report due to a knee injury, Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
The Cowboys didn't hold practice to kick off Week 2 prep, but Cooks wouldn't have been out there with his teammates if they had done so. His status thus will be one to monitor Thursday and Friday to get a sense of his availability for Sunday's game against the Jets. If Cooks is limited or sidelined this weekend, Michael Gallup, Jalen Tolbert and even KaVontae Turpin could benefit from added work behind Dallas' top wide receiver, CeeDee Lamb.
-
Romeo Doubs WR | NE
Packers' Romeo Doubs: Limited at practice to begin week
Doubs (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
As Doubs was in the final two sessions of Week 1 prep, he's again operating with a cap on his practice reps due to the hamstring issue that has plagued him since late August. Meanwhile, Christian Watson (hamstring) continued to be sidelined at practice, so Doubs could again be in a position to serve as Green Bay's No. 1 wide receiver Sunday in Atlanta if he can gain clearance from his own hamstring injury. While Watson was sidelined for this past Sunday's win at Chicago, Doubs logged 29 of 60 offensive snaps en route four catches (on five targets) for 26 yards and two touchdowns.
-
Michael Bandy WR | DEN
Michael Bandy: Returns to Denver
Bandy signed with the Broncos' practice squad Wednesday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Bandy was cut from the team's practice squad Sept. 1, but with the addition of Lil'Jordan Humphrey to the team's 53-man roster, a spot reopened for the former. The San Diego product played in 10 games for the Chargers last season, recording 10 catches on 21 targets for 89 yards.
-
Christian Watson WR | GB
Packers' Christian Watson: Sits out Wednesday's practice
Watson (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Watson has yet to be listed as anything other than a non-participant on the four injury reports that the Packers have posted so far this season. Meanwhile, Romeo Doubs (hamstring) was a limited participant Wednesday and presumably has a better chance than Watson of suiting up Sunday at Atlanta after playing in the Packers' season-opening win over the Bears. The Packers will see what, if anything, Watson is able to do at practices Thursday and Friday before ruling on his status heading into the Week 2 matchup.
