Patriots' Romeo Doubs: Logs three catches in Week 3 loss
Doubs hauled in three of four targets for 49 yards during the Patriots' 35-6 loss to the Jaguars on Sunday.
Doubs finished second on the Patriots in both catches and receiving yards to Mack Hollins, the latter of whom finished with a 6-87-0 receiving line on nine targets. Doubs and Hollins will continue to operate as Drake Maye's top targets in the absence of A.J. Brown (ankle), who will miss at least the next two weeks while on injured reserve. Doubs will take a 6-145-0 receiving line on 11 targets into a Week 4 road matchup against Buffalo.

Patriots' Romeo Doubs: Leading Week 2 receiver sans Brown
Doubs caught three of four targets for 96 yards in Sunday's 20-3 win over the Steelers.
Doubs accounted for 96 of Drake Maye's 202 passing yards while no teammate exceeded 40 receiving yards in the absence of A.J. Brown (ankle). Most of Doubs' production came on a 63-yard catch in the third quarter, which set up a field goal. This was a nice bounce-back performance from the offseason free-agent signing after Doubs finished without a catch in his Patriots debut. Maye has a 1:4 TD:INT, so New England's passing game has been sputtering ahead of a Week 3 trip to Jacksonville.

Patriots' Romeo Doubs: Forgettable team debut in loss
Doubs failed to bring in any of his three targets during the Patriots' 13-10 loss to the Seahawks on Wednesday.
The veteran offseason addition had a highly inauspicious debut, despite the fact he'd frequently impressed this summer and the Patriots lost A.J. Brown to an ankle injury on the first possession of the second half. Doubs was also the intended receiver on Drake Maye's first interception of the night, getting outleapt for a long pass by Nehemiah Pritchett early in the fourth quarter. Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald reports Brown was seen exiting the Patriots' locker room with a walking boot following Wednesday's game, so Doubs could be pressed into an elevated role for the Week 2 home opener against the Steelers on Sunday, Sept. 20, despite his poor showing.
