Doubs posted career-best numbers in 2025 while scoring six touchdowns on just 85 targets in Green Bay. He signed a massive contract in free agency to join the Patriots, where he profiles as an excellent fit for Josh McDaniels' scheme and Drake Maye's skill set (deep passing accuracy and willingness to take shots over the top and in the intermediate range). Doubs will play on the outside in New England, but enthusiasm for his 2026 outlook dipped following the team's decision to trade for A.J. Brown. Doubs profiles as a solid WR4, but he will be difficult to trust weekly from a volume standpoint and is unlikely to surpass 100 targets in 2026. Doubs may be a better fit for best ball draft formats, but he could provide upside in the case of another injury to Brown.
Patriots' Romeo Doubs: Dominates at Saturday's practice
Rotowire
Doubs was the standout wide receiver during the Patriots' training camp practice Saturday, Taylor Kyles of CLNSMedia.com reports.
Doubs won multiple jump balls and hauled in three high-point touchdowns in the red zone during team drills. The veteran wide receiver has demonstrated strong rapport with quarterback Drake Maye during training camp, and head coach Mike Vrabel said Saturday that there have been "a lot of positive things trending in the right direction" for Doubs, per Taylor Kyles of CLNSMedia.com. Doubs and most of the other Patriots starters didn't play in Thursday's preseason opener against the Colts, though they could see some action in their next exhibition contest, which will take place Saturday, Aug. 22, against the Eagles.

Patriots' Romeo Doubs: Doesn't play against Indianapolis
Rotowire
Doubs did not play in the Patriots' 13-13 tie with the Colts in Thursday's preseason game.
Doubs, A.J. Brown and DeMario Douglas were the three Patriots wide receivers who observed Thursday's game in street clothes. Doubs inked a four-year contract with the Patriots in March after spending the first four years of his NFL career with the Packers, and he's slated to serve as a key target for QB Drake Maye in 2026 while starting alongside Brown. Doubs is coming off a 2025 season in which he caught 55 passes (on 85 targets) for 724 yards and six touchdowns across 16 regular-season games.

Patriots' Romeo Doubs: Returns to practice Friday
Rotowire
Doubs (personal) returned to practice Friday, Karen Guregian of MassLive.com reports.
With his two recent absences being for non-injury reasons, Doubs should pick up where he left off at Patriots training camp, building chemistry with Drake Maye. The team has a deep WR room, also featuring A.J. Brown, Kayshon Boutte, DeMario Douglas and Mack Hollins.

Patriots' Romeo Doubs: Misses another practice
Rotowire
Doubs (undisclosed) remained sidelined at practice Thursday, Taylor Kyles of CLNSMedia.com reports.
Doubs also missed Wednesday's session with an undisclosed issue, so his status will be worth monitoring as the Patriots' Aug. 13 preseason opener against the Colts approaches. For now, consider the Patriots' No. 2 WR day-to-day until added context regarding his absence is provided.

Patriots' Romeo Doubs: Doesn't practice Wednesday
Rotowire
Doubs (undisclosed) missed practice Wednesday, Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald reports.
This marks Doubs' first missed practice of the summer, per Callahan, so it's unclear if the wideout is dealing with an injury issue or if his absence Wednesday was maintenance-related. When available, Doubs profiles a New England's WR2 behind top option A.J. Brown.

Patriots' Romeo Doubs: Patriots bolster WR room
Rotowire
Doubs projects as the No. 2 wide receiver on New England's depth chart after the team traded for A.J. Brown from the Eagles on Monday, Evan Lazar of the team's official site reports.
The Patriots signed Doubs to a sizable four-year, $68 million deal early in free agency, but his stint as the projected No. 1 target for Drake Maye comes to an end with the team having traded a 2028 first-round pick and 2027 fifth-round pick in order to acquire Brown's talents. There's no doubt the transaction represents a blow to Doubs' overall target share, but it could also create more favorable matchups for him by forcing defenses to focus on a proven alpha receiver in Brown. Across his four years in Green Bay, Doubs averaged between 32.8 and 46.2 receiving yards per game and never topped 100 targets, so there's a reasonable argument that a true No. 1 role may have stretched him beyond his ideal usage. Even so, Doubs remains firmly entrenched as New England's No. 2 receiver, with Kayshon Boutte, Mack Hollins, DeMario Douglas, and Kyle Williams competing for remaining opportunities.

Packers' Romeo Doubs: Won't re-sign with Green Bay
Rotowire
Doubs doesn't intend to re-sign with the Packers, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Doubs was never considered likely to re-sign in Green Bay, especially after Christian Watson came on strong in the second half of the 2025 campaign. With Alec Pierce re-signing in Indianapolis, receiver-needy teams may view Doubs as one of the top options on the market.

Packers' Romeo Doubs: Three catches in loss
Rotowire
Doubs recorded three receptions on three targets for 62 yards in Saturday's 41-24 loss to the Ravens.
Doubs wasn't prioritized among the Packers' pass catchers, as he was one of five pass catchers with at least three targets. He was efficient with his opportunity thanks primarily to a 40-yard reception midway through the first quarter, Green Bay's longest play from scrimmage. Doubs has at least 60 yards in consecutive games, the first time he's accomplished that feat this season.

Packers' Romeo Doubs: Wrist issue not concerning
Rotowire
Doubs (wrist) didn't appear Tuesday on the Packers' initial Week 17 practice report.
Doubs was deemed questionable to return to this past Saturday's 22-16 overtime loss to the Bears after he appeared to sustain the wrist injury on an onside kick late in the fourth quarter that Chicago recovered. Though his night ended on a sour note, Doubs produced well for those that included him in fantasy lineups Week 16, logging five catches for 84 yards and a touchdown on six targets. His touchdown grab came on a 33-yard deep shot late in the third quarter from backup quarterback Malik Willis, who replaced a concussed Jordan Love. Both Love and Willis (shoulder) were listed as limited participant in Tuesday's walk-through session, so it's not yet clear whom Doubs will be catching passes from this Saturday against the Ravens.

Packers' Romeo Doubs: Limited to two catches in win
Rotowire
Doubs secured two of three targets for 23 yards and returned two punts for 21 yards in the Packers' 23-6 win over the Vikings on Sunday.
Doubs' numbers certainly were disappointing from a fantasy perspective, but they were generated within the confines of a modest 14-completion, 139-yard passing day for Jordan Love. The veteran wideout has just 81 combined receiving yards over his last three contests overall, but a Thanksgiving Day showdown with the Lions at Ford Field figures to be a game in which the entire Packers air attack sees increased usage.

Packers' Romeo Doubs: Set for Week 12
Rotowire
Doubs (wrist) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game versus the Vikings, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Among Packers wide receivers listed on the injury report this week, Doubs, Christian Watson (knee) and Bo Melton (shoulder) avoided Week 12 designations, Matthew Golden (shoulder/wrist), Dontayvion Wicks (calf) and Savion Williams (foot) are listed as questionable, and Jayden Reed (foot/shoulder, IR) was ruled out. Doubs has received at least eight targets in five of the past seven contests, posting a 32-378-3 line on 53 targets during that stretch.

Packers' Romeo Doubs: Team-high yardage total Sunday
Rotowire
Doubs brought in four of eight targets for 53 yards in the Packers' 27-20 win over the Giants on Sunday.
Doubs tied with Christian Watson for the team lead in receptions -- the duo represented the only Packers pass catchers to log more than one catch -- and the former also set the pace in targets and receiving yards. Doubs' performance represented a welcome resurgence from his abysmal one-reception, five-yard tally against the Eagles in Week 10, and he's eclipsed 50 receiving yards in five of his last seven contests heading into a Week 12 divisional home showdown against the Vikings.

Packers' Romeo Doubs: Logs full walkthrough
Rotowire
Doubs (chest) was a full participant at Wednesday's walkthrough.
Doubs made an early departure from Monday's loss to the Eagles due to a chest injury in the fourth quarter, but coach Matt LaFleur told Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com that the wide receiver "should be good to go" for Sunday's road matchup with the Giants. An uncapped session Wednesday seems to indicate as much for Doubs, while fellow WRs Matthew Golden (shoulder), Dontayvion Wicks (calf) and Savion Williams (foot) all were limited to begin Week 11 prep. The state of the Packers' receiving corps remains in flux for a second week in a row.

Packers' Romeo Doubs: WRs to Start
Rotowire
Doubs should be the No. 1 receiving option for the Packers in Week 10 with Tucker Kraft (ACL) out, and Doubs has at least eight targets in four of his past five games. He scored at least 13.2 PPR points in three of those outings, including last week against Carolina when he had seven catches for 91 yards on 10 targets in the game Kraft was injured. There have been 10 receivers with at least seven targets against the Eagles this season, and eight of them have scored at least 12.9 PPR points. I like Doubs as a No. 2 Fantasy receiver in the majority of leagues.

Packers' Romeo Doubs: Leading receiver against Carolina
Rotowire
Doubs caught seven of 10 targets for 91 yards in Sunday's 16-13 loss to the Panthers.
The fourth-year wideout was Jordan Love's top option, leading the Packers in catches and receiving yards on the afternoon while seeing double-digit targets for the first time in 2025. Doubs sports a 34-441-4 line on 52 targets on the season, and he saw his competition for looks get thinned significantly in the second half of Sunday's loss, as Tucker Kraft (knee) and Matthew Golden (shoulder) both left the game and didn't return. If they remain sidelined in Week 10, Doubs is likely to get elevated target volume again versus the Eagles.

Packers' Romeo Doubs: Sleeper WRs
Rotowire
The Bengals receivers abused the Steelers secondary in Week 7 with Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins combining for 22 catches for 256 yards and two touchdowns on 33 targets. Doubs and Matthew Golden won't do that, but both Packers receivers are worth using as No. 3 Fantasy receivers in Week 8. Doubs has 11 catches for 127 yards on 17 targets in his past two games, and he has scored at least 10.5 PPR points in each outing. And Golden has scored at least 10.1 PPR points in three of his past four games.

Packers' Romeo Doubs: WRs to Sit
Rotowire
Christian Watson made his 2025 debut in Week 8 at Pittsburgh, and Doubs saw his fewest targets (six) since Week 3. He finished with three catches for 44 yards against the Steelers, and Doubs should be a No. 3 Fantasy receiver at best in Week 9 against the Panthers. Doubs also hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 4, and Carolina is No. 3 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers. Heading into Week 9, I would start Watson ahead of Doubs, and Doubs ahead of Matthew Golden, who also should be on the bench in the majority of leagues.

Packers' Romeo Doubs: Five catches in Week 6
Rotowire
Doubs recorded five catches on nine targets for 55 yards in Sunday's 27-18 win over the Bengals.
Doubs was Jordan Love's top target in Sunday's win, leading the team in targets. He converted that into his third performance of 50 or more receiving yards this season, thanks to long gains of 21 and 15 yards. Doubs isn't likely to turn in huge fantasy performances often thanks to the emergence of Matthew Golden and Tucker Kraft, but it's clear he has rapport and the trust of Love, which should be enough to keep Doubs involved in the offense.

Packers' Romeo Doubs: Week 5 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
Doubs is on a bye in Week 5, but hopefully he stays hot when the Packers are back in action in Week 6 against the Bengals. In Week 4 at Dallas, Doubs stepped up with six catches for 58 yards and three touchdowns on eight targets. Now, don't expect him to be a dominant Fantasy receiver moving forward, but there is potential for Doubs to be a solid No. 3 Fantasy receiver in the majority of leagues, especially with Jayden Reed (collarbone) still out. Doubs is worth adding for at least 15 percent of your remaining FAB.

Packers' Romeo Doubs: Three touchdowns in Week 4
Rotowire
Doubs recorded six receptions on eight targets for 58 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 40-40 overtime tie against the Cowboys.
Doubs led the Packers in targets in the absence of Jayden Reed (collarbone) and was a key to the team's offensive explosion with touchdown catches of one, two and 15 yards. Doubs was targeted primarily in the short areas of the field and his longest reception went for only 18 yards. He still managed to top 50 receiving yards for the second time this season, but even with Reed and Christian Watson (knee) on the shelf, target competition remains fierce in Green Bay and coach Matt LaFleur's offensive scheme won't move away from Josh Jacobs and the ground game.
