John Metchie III WR | CAR
Texans' John Metchie: Makes first NFL grab
Metchie caught his lone target for 17 yards in Sunday's 31-20 loss to Indianapolis in Week 2.
Metchie, who was drafted in the second round of the 2022, finally made his NFL debut and logged his first catch while playing a wideout-low 14 snaps. The receiver overcame leukemia that wiped out his rookie season, and he was sidelined for Week 1 with a hamstring injury. As the position group is currently constituted, Metchie and Xavier Hutchinson sit behind Nico Collins, Robert Woods and Tank Dell.

Jerry Jeudy WR | CLE
Broncos' Jerry Jeudy: Quiet day as rookie shines
Jeudy (hamstring) had three receptions on five targets for 25 yards and no scores in Sunday's 35-33 loss to the Commanders.
Russell Wilson had a vintage game in which he aired it out for over 300 yards, but Jeudy mostly missed the party and was held to just 25 yards in his season debut. The positive news is that the 2020 first-round pick didn't suffer a setback to the hamstring injury that cost him the first game of the season. If Wilson is able to continue playing at the level he showed Sunday, that could lead to better stat lines from Jeudy now that he is healthy. His next opportunity to produce will come against Miami next Sunday.

Treylon Burks WR | WAS
Titans' Treylon Burks: Makes long catch
Burks recorded three receptions on four targets for 76 yards in Sunday's 27-24 overtime win over the Chargers.
Burks did nearly all of his damage on a 70-yard reception midway through the second quarter that jumpstarted the Titans' offense. Despite being on the field for 94 snaps across the team's first two games, Burks has only six targets this season. Given that, it appears he'll be reliant upon big plays and touchdowns to account for the majority of his production.

Courtland Sutton WR | DEN
Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Nabs five receptions Sunday
Sutton caught five of seven targets for 66 yards in Sunday's 35-33 loss to Washington.
Sutton finished with the most targets and ahead of fellow starter Jerry Jeudy, but it was rookie Marvin Mims (2-113-1) who stole the show as the fantasy standout for Denver on Sunday. The veteran wideout Sutton still put together a decent fantasy game after logging his first touchdown of 2023 last week. Sutton retains his high fantasy floor heading into a Week 3 matchup against the Dolphins next Sunday.

Hunter Renfrow WR | CAR
Raiders' Hunter Renfrow: Can't get going against Bills
Renfrow recorded one reception on one target for 23 yards in Sunday's 38-10 loss to the Bills.
Renfrow was projected to see an increased role in the absence of Jakobi Meyers (concussion). That didn't come to fruition, however, as the only Raiders skill-position players to receive more than three targets were Davante Adams and Josh Jacobs. After failing to command a target in Week 1, Renfrow seems to be facing an uphill battle to be a consistent contributor to the offense in 2023.

Jaylen Waddle WR | DEN
Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Ruled out with concussion
Waddle (concussion) was downgraded to out late in Sunday's 24-17 win over the Patriots after being evaluated for a concussion.
Waddle headed to the locker room after undergoing initial tests in the blue medical tent following an illegal helmet-to-helmet hit. He will need to clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol in order to play in Week 3 against the Broncos. Waddle caught four of six targets for 86 yards and rushed once for minus-2 yards in the win over New England.

Marvin Mims WR | DEN
Broncos' Marvin Mims: Displays big-play ability
Mims caught both of his targets for 113 yards and a touchdown while rushing twice for 10 yards in Sunday's 35-33 loss to Washington.
Mims wound up breaking the century mark while finishing as Denver's leading receiver despite seeing just two targets all game. The second-round rookie saw the same number of targets last week, but he turned those into just nine yards. The stark contrast should warn fantasy managers not to get too excited after this huge game, as Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy both started for the Broncos and had more targets than the rookie. That said, if Mims were to carve out a larger role on offense via an injury or depth chart change, he would stand to gain significant fantasy value. Mims' next chance to impress will come against the Dolphins next Sunday.

Jaylen Waddle WR | DEN
Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Takes hit to head in New England
Waddle is being evaluated for a concussion Sunday in New England.
Waddle was taken into the blue medical tent in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Patriots after taking a hit to the head from Marte Mapu, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports. Mapu was flagged for unnecessary roughness on the helmet-to-helmet hit. Waddle will need to clear the NFL's concussion protocol before he can return to action. The 24-year-old wide receiver had four catches for 86 yards on six targets and one rushing attempt for minus-2 yards prior to getting hurt.

Tutu Atwell WR | MIA
Rams' Tutu Atwell: Goes for 82 total yards
Atwell had seven receptions on nine targets for 77 yards while adding five yards on a rushing attempt in Sunday's 30-23 loss to San Francisco.
Puka Nacua (15-147-0) stole the show for the Rams in Week 2, but Atwell quietly posted a solid fantasy line following last week's 119-yard performance. He has received 17 targets through two games and appears to have surpassed Van Jefferson on the depth chart to claim the No. 2 role for the Rams. The 23-year-old also logged his first carry of the season, a role he is accustomed to after seeing nine carries as a backup receiver in 2022. For fantasy managers who missed out on Nacua on the waiver wire, Atwell appears to be a decent consolation prize where available.

Mike Williams WR | LAC
Chargers' Mike Williams: Steps up in Week 2
Williams recorded eight receptions on 13 targets for 83 yards in Sunday's 27-24 overtime loss to the Titans.
Williams led the Chargers in targets and tied for the lead in receptions but was ultimately overshadowed by the big performance of Keenan Allen. Nevertheless, Williams had a strong performance in his own right, though he was interestingly targeted primarily in the short areas of the field after posting an aDOT of 12.0 in 2022. That could be the product of a new offensive philosophy under offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and will be an interesting trend to monitor in the coming weeks.
