  • Daniel Arias WR | ARI

Daniel Arias: Cut from Chiefs' practice squad

Kansas City cut Arias from its practice squad Tuesday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.

In a corresponding move, the Chiefs signed defensive tackle Mike Pennel to their practice squad. Arias is set to become a free agent and will now have to look for another opportunity elsewhere.

  • Cody White WR | SEA

Cody White: Cut from practice squad

White was let go from the Seahawks' practice squad Tuesday, John Boyle of the team's official website reports.

White just signed with Seattle's practice unit last week, so his time there was short. He spent training camp with the Steelers before landing on injured reserve and subsequently reaching an injury settlement. The pass catcher will now need to find a new opportunity yet again.

  • Lance McCutcheon: Heads to Gang Green

The Jets signed McCutcheon to their practice squad Tuesday, Ethan Greenberg of the team's official site reports.

McCutcheon was cut from the Texans' practice squad on Oct. 10 and was with the Rams during training camp before being let go ahead of the 53-man roster. The undrafted wide receiver out of Montana State played in 10 games for the Rams last season and did not register a catch on five targets. McCutcheon will look to get himself quickly acclimated to the Jets' playbook in the hopes that he gets called up to the active roster this season.

  • Scotty Washington: Joins Pittsburgh's practice squad

The Steelers signed Washington to their practice squad Tuesday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.

Washington signed with Cincinnati in 2020 as an undrafted free agent and has spent most of his career on the practice squads of the Bengals and Patriots. He was released by New England on Aug. 27 ahead of the 53-man roster deadline but was not invited back to their practice squad. Washington will now have a chance to crack an active roster with the Steelers.

  • Chris Godwin WR | TB

    Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Limited Tuesday

Godwin (neck) was listed as a limited participant on Tuesday's injury report.

After opening Week 8 prep as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimate due to a neck issue, Godwin was able to handle some on-field work one day later, potentially putting him on a path to being available Thursday at Buffalo. His activity level Wednesday will provide a clearer picture of his availability for that contest.

  • Marvin Mims WR | DEN

Broncos' Marvin Mims: Targeted once in win

Mims failed to catch his lone target and rushed once for minus-11 yards in Sunday's 19-17 win over the Packers.

Mims' frustrating start to the 2023 campaign continued Sunday, as the wideout was held without a catch and lost yards on his one carry in the contest. The rookie played 18 of 59 offensive snaps, the lowest of any Denver wide receiver. The Broncos' coaching staff appears firmly committed to bringing the Oklahoma product along slowly this season despite flashing his playmaking ability with several opportunities. Up next for the Broncos is a rematch with the Chiefs. Mims failed to record a target in their first matchup, and the 21-year-old should continue to be difficult to trust for fantasy purposes as Denver hosts Kansas City in Week 8.

  • Robert Woods WR | PIT

Texans' Robert Woods: Gets veteran day Monday

Woods did not suit up for Monday's practice in what was likely a veteran day, Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Woods is nursing a nagging rib injury, so he was given a rest day Monday. If he's sitting out practices later in the week, then it will be time for concern. His first season in Houston has gone well; Woods leads the team with 43 targets and scored his first touchdown as a Texan in the Week 6 win over the Saints.

  • Jauan Jennings WR | MIN

49ers' Jauan Jennings: Garners nine targets on MNF

Jennings finished with five receptions (on nine targets) for 54 yards in Monday's 22-17 loss to Minnesota.

Jennings experienced a stark increase in targets, with Deebo Samuel (shoulder) on the sideline for Monday's loss, unlike last week when the slot receiver's usage remained stagnant following his star teammate's departure. The nine targets set a new career high for Jennings, a third-year wideout, but his five receptions Monday did not. Jennings should stick in the starting lineup after the team already ruled Samuel out for Week 8, but fantasy managers shouldn't expect this gaudy of a target total from the role player against the Bengals on Sunday.

  • 49ers' Brandon Aiyuk: Modest production in loss

Aiyuk had five receptions (on six targets) for 57 yards in Monday's 22-17 loss to Minnesota,

Aiyuk took over as San Francisco's No. 1 wideout with Deebo Samuel (shoulder) expected to miss multiple weeks to injury. The elevated role did not produce more targets for Aiyuk, who finished with a stat line right around the four receptions and 67 yards he averaged over his previous two contests. The 25-year-old is providing steady production through seven weeks, but a recent lack of touchdowns (none since Week 1) has limited his fantasy value. Aiyuk still is considered a strong play heading into a Week 8 matchup against the Bengals on Sunday.

  • Chris Olave WR | NO

Saints' Chris Olave: Gets arrested Monday

Olave was arrested Monday for reckless operation of a motor vehicle, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Olave was reportedly traveling 35 mph over the posted speed limit. He is getting processed and will be released from Kenner City (La.) Jail. The Saints are aware of the situation, but there are no further details at this time.
