Marquez Valdes-Scantling WR | DAL
Chiefs' Marquez Valdes-Scantling: Another lackluster showing
Valdes-Scantling gathered in two of three targets for 22 yards during Sunday's 21-14 victory against the Dolphins.
Valdes-Scantling hasn't claimed more than three passes in a game yet this season as part of a Chiefs offense that hasn't quite kept pace with Kansas City's high-powered offenses in years past. MVS should continue to see consistent reps, but he's not a priority target in the passing attack and will likely remain a touchdown-dependent fantasy option each week.

Jaylen Waddle WR | DEN
Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Sore after Week 9 loss
Coach Mike McDaniel said Tuesday that Waddle (knee) is "in a good spot" but "definitely still sore" after Sunday's 21-14 loss to Kansas City in Frankfurt, Hal Habib of The Palm Beach Post reports.
Waddle, who exited with a knee injury in the first quarter but was able to retake the field, secured three of six targets for 42 yards in Sunday's loss. McDaniel expressed optimism about the third-year wideout's status, but said "we're going to make sure we don't do any harm to [Waddle], moving forward," mentioning that he's already dealt with multiple injuries this season. Waddle will benefit from a bye in Week 10 before returning versus the Raiders on Nov. 19, which should give him plenty of time to get healthy.

Jalen Guyton WR | LV
Chargers' Jalen Guyton: Plays 33 snaps in return
Guyton played 33 offensive snaps in Monday's 27-6 win over the Jets, but he failed to catch his only target.
Guyton finally made his 2023 season debut after tearing his ACL back in Week 3 of last season. While the veteran speedster saw plenty of playing time with Joshua Palmer (knee) sidelined, he predictably didn't draw much of a focus. Expect the 26-year-old to see an occasional target to keep defenses honest, but even a heavy snap count likely won't elicit much fantasy value.

Derius Davis WR | LAC
Chargers' Derius Davis: First career punt return TD
Davis did not record a yard on his lone reception in Monday's 27-6 win over the Jets, but he did return a 87-yard punt return to open the scoring in the first quarter.
Davis only played offensive snaps as the Jets' offense barely put up a fight. The rookie did kick off the scoring for the Chargers on the second punt of the game, returning it 87 yards for a massive special teams touchdown. It's clear the electric speedster can be a gamechanger when he has the ball, but to this point he's hardly been utilized by the offense.

Rashod Bateman WR | BAL
Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Held in check Sunday
Bateman caught three of five targets for 28 yards against the Seahawks.
Baltimore was not explosive through the air Sunday with just 217 combined passing yards between Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley. Aside from Mark Andrews, no Baltimore pass-catcher had significant production. Bateman logged 56 percent of the snaps on offense, a slight dip from Week 8 in Arizona, though it's worth noting that the Ravens emptied the bench late in the game. Bateman's five targets marked a new season-high, so even with the meager production Sunday, he does seem to be carving out a larger role as the season progresses. Baltimore hosts Cleveland in Week 10.

Trey Palmer WR | NO
Buccaneers' Trey Palmer: Strong showing in loss
Palmer brought in three of four targets for 51 yards in the Buccaneers' 39-37 loss to the Texans on Sunday. He also committed a fumble recovered by Tampa Bay.
Palmer once again ran behind only starters Mike Evans and Chris Godwin in wide receiver snaps, logging a robust 48 plays from scrimmage. The rookie now has back-to-back three-catch outings, and Sunday's yardage total was a new personal best. Palmer has multiple receptions in four of the last five contests overall, pushing him into borderline fantasy relevancy in deep formats.

Quentin Johnston WR | LAC
Chargers' Quentin Johnston: Fails with additional opportunities
Johnston caught two of his three targets for 14 yards in the Chargers' 27-6 win over the Jets on Monday.
The Chargers attempted the second-fewest pass attempts of the season to date, but it was still discouraging to see Johnston relegated to an afterthought with nominal No. 2 wideout Joshua Palmer (knee) sidelined in this one. While quarterback Justin Herbert's first read will seemingly always be Keenan Allen (8-9-77 on Monday), it seems likely to assume a more back-and-forth affair would have created a few more opportunities for the first-round rookie to be involved almost by default. Johnston's fantasy value will likely depend on the status of Palmer, even in a presumably better offensive matchup Week 10 against the Lions.

Allen Lazard WR | NYJ
Jets' Allen Lazard: More drops and penalties Monday
Lazard (knee) caught two of six targets for 18 yards in Monday's 27-6 loss to the Chargers.
Penalties and drops have both been all too common for Lazard in 2023, and they remained bugaboos for him Monday. Lazard was whistled for an illegal shift and a hold to wipe out Breece Hall runs of 14 and six yards, in addition to having a pass clank off his hands. New York has few alternatives to turn to opposite Garrett Wilson at wide receiver, so Lazard should continue to see significant action Week 10 against the Raiders and beyond, but the former Packer certainly isn't living up to the four-year, $44 million contract he signed in March.

Keenan Allen WR | LAC
Chargers' Keenan Allen: Leads team in yardage, targets
Allen caught eight of his nine targets for 77 yards in the Chargers' 27-6 win over the Jets on Monday.
No Joshua Palmer (knee) and a toothless Jets offense basically set the stage for Allen to be the sole offensive contributor aside from Austin Ekeler in this one. The veteran wide receiver did make a terrific 23-yard catch near the right sideline towards the beginning of the fourth quarter that extended a drive that culminated in three points and a seemingly insurmountable two-touchdown lead, but otherwise it was a ho-hum outing for Allen, who surpassed 10,000 career receiving yards in the victory. Up next, a great matchup awaits against a vulnerable Lions secondary in Week 10.

Garrett Wilson WR | NYJ
Jets' Garrett Wilson: Seven catches on MNF
Wilson caught seven of 13 targets for 80 yards and lost a fumble in Monday's 27-6 loss to the Chargers.
Wilson fumbled in the first quarter, but that didn't deter the Jets from feeding their top receiver 13 targets for a second consecutive game, and he has been targeted at least 12 times in four of the past five games. With little receiving talent besides Wilson, New York has little choice but to force feed the standout wideout, but defenses also can afford to shift significant attention in his direction. Still, it's encouraging that three of his four highest yardage totals have come in the past three games, though Wilson will be looking to break a touchdown drought that dates back to Week 2 when the Jets fly to Vegas in Week 10.
