Mike Evans WR | SF
Buccaneers' Mike Evans: Reignites connection with Mayfield
Evans' chemistry with Baker Mayfield has been evident early in the Buccaneers' training camp, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Evans displayed plenty of rapport with Mayfield right out of the gate in their first year playing together in 2023, posting a 17-297 line while also recording a touchdown apiece in the Buccaneers' first three regular-season games. The veteran wideout, who re-signed with Tampa Bay this offseason, wasted no time flashing the same chemistry with Mayfield early in training camp with several impressive catches over the first trio of practices, and he's in line to once again serve as no less than a co-No. 1 receiver alongside Chris Godwin in 2024.

Jerry Jeudy WR | CLE
Browns' Jerry Jeudy: Ramping up
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said Saturday that Jeudy (leg) is "ramping up" and "close" to joining teammates on the field for practice, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Jeudy worked on the side with trainers for a third consecutive day Saturday. Stefanski added that the wide receiver is "getting better" without going into detail regarding the leg injury.

Kelvin Harmon WR | DAL
Cowboys' Kelvin Harmon: Signs contract with Dallas
The Cowboys signed Harmon to a contract Saturday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Harmon is one of two receivers Dallas signed Saturday in the wake of top wideout CeeDee Lamb's holdout. The 26-year-old Harmon last played in the NFL for Washington in 2019, when he caught 30 passes for 365 yards and no touchdowns over 16 games. Harmon tore his ACL in July of 2020 and had been working with Washington's practice squad since recovering the following June.

Deontay Burnett WR | DAL
Cowboys' Deontay Burnett: Getting look from Cowboys
Dallas signed Burnett to a contract Saturday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Burnett came in for a workout Saturday and left with a contract. The wideout last played in the NFL in 2020, when he logged 58 offensive snaps and caught three passes for 19 yards over two games with the Eagles. Burnett is a longshot to make Dallas' 53-man roster, but he'll get a look by the Cowboys in training camp while the team's top receiver, CeeDee Lamb, holds out.

Drake London WR | ATL
Falcons' Drake London: Clear of cramping
London (overheating/leg cramps) returned for the evening portion of Friday's practice, William McFadden of the Falcons' official site reports.
London departed the morning portion of practice Friday after he experienced leg cramps and overheating. However, the wideout was able to return for the evening walkthrough, suggesting that he's clear of any concerns. Josh Kendall of The Athletic adds that London will be on the field when the Falcons practice Saturday. This year's training camp is particularly important for London as he looks to build a rapport with new starting quarterback Kirk Cousins.

Jayden Reed WR | GB
Packers' Jayden Reed: Back participating in practice
Reed (toe) is practicing with the team Saturday, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
Reed was activated off the non-football injury list earlier this week after recovering from a minor toe injury suffered earlier in the summer. The second-year wideout joins the newly minted highest-paid player in the NFL, Jordan Love, who also made his triumphant return to practice Saturday after signing his massive extension Friday. Reed is primed to be one of the team's most explosive options in a wideout group brimming with potential.

Frank Darby WR | SF
49ers' Frank Darby: Joins San Fran
Darby signed a contract with the 49ers on Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
With Brandon Aiyuk (contract) and Ricky Pearsall (hamstring) both not practicing early on in training camp, Darby will presumably be a high-upside camp body for a team suddenly devoid of pass catchers. A 2021 sixth-round pick by the Falcons, Darby played in just one game with Atlanta last year, primarily floating around on the practice squad.

Chris Godwin WR | TB
Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Standing out early in camp
Godwin has impressed over the first few practices of training camp and has caught the eye of fellow star wideout Mike Evans, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports. "He's going to have a great year," said Evans of Godwin. "Y'all saw him today - he looks like he's in midseason form. He's making plays, going deep, looks like the 2019 Chris Godwin."
Godwin has battled injuries and underutilization in the red zone over the last few seasons, but he's still turned three consecutive 1,000-yard campaigns. However, the 2017 third-round pick has just 10 touchdowns on 285 receptions in that span, the fewest scoring grabs of any player with at least 200 catches during that period. Evans himself has called for the Buccaneers to give Godwin more red-zone and downfield opportunities, and with new offensive coordinator Liam Coen now at the helm, there may be a change in how the veteran wideout is deployed.

Shaquan Davis WR | PIT
Eagles' Shaquan Davis: Off NFI list after passing physical
Davis (undisclosed) passed his physical Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Davis opened training camp on the active/non-football injury list due to an undisclosed issue, but he's since recovered and is now cleared to participate in practices and play in preseason games. The wideout signed with Philadelphia in January after spending last season on New Orleans' practice squad. He's a longshot to make the Eagles' 53-man roster out of camp.

Cam Sims WR | CAR
Panthers' Cam Sims: Moved to reserve/PUP list
The Panthers placed Sims (undisclosed) on the reserve/PUP list Friday, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Sims had previously been placed on the active/PUP list, and in moving to the reserve/PUP list, he now won't count as part of the Panthers' 90-man roster. Carolina will have until cut-down day to determine if the wideout will be activated or remain on the reserve/PUP list, in which case he'd need to sit out the first four games of the campaign. Sims had been looking to vie for a roster spot in training camp after signing with Carolina on a reserve/future contract in January.
