  • 49ers' Ricky Pearsall: Slated to practice next week

Pearsall (chest) is in line to return to practice next week, Albert Breer of NFL on Prime Video reports.

Pearsall has been focusing on rehab since suffering a gunshot wound during an attempted robbery on Aug. 31, residing on the reserve/non-football injury in the meantime. The 49ers may have precipitated his return if the receiving corps was dealing with anything other than nicks and bruises, but now that he's nearly six weeks removed from the event, the team will open his practice window in the near future.

  • Buccaneers' Kameron Johnson: Misses practice

Johnson (ankle) did not participate at the Buccaneers' practice Thursday, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

Johnson opened the week as a limited participant at practice following an ankle injury he suffered in Week 5 versus Atlanta. The wide receiver's inability to practice Thursday is concerning, and if he isn't able to return to the field Friday, he'll likely miss Sunday's matchup with the Saints.

  • Robert Woods WR | PIT

Texans' Robert Woods: May be out Week 6

Woods (foot) is in line to miss Sunday's game at New England, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Woods showed up on the Texans' practice report last week due to a foot injury, which sidelined him Thursday, limited his reps Friday and resulted in a questionable tag for Week 5 action. He suited up this past Sunday against the Bills and played 24 percent of the snaps, but he also wasn't targeted for the third time in five games this season. It appears Woods may have aggravated the issue, considering he hasn't practiced this week and now is trending toward his first absence of the campaign. Friday's injury report ultimately may rule him out for Week 6.

  • Chris Conley WR | SF

49ers' Chris Conley: Active for TNF

Conley (oblique) is active for Thursday's contest against the Seahawks, Lindsey Pallares of the 49ers' official website reports.

Conley will make his return to the field after missing the team's 24-23 loss to the Cardinals in Week 5 due to an oblique injury. The 31-year-old will operate as the No. 4 option behind Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk and Jauan Jennings at wide receiver versus Seattle.

  • Jakobi Meyers WR | JAC

Raiders' Jakobi Meyers: Logs another missed practice

Meyers missed his second straight practice Thursday due to an ankle injury.

With top WR Davante Adams (hamstring) not expected to play Sunday against the Steelers, Meyers' status gains added import ahead of Week 6 action. A return to practice, in any capacity, on the part of Meyers on Friday would bode well for his chances of facing Pittsburgh, but he likely will need to practice fully in such a scenario in order to avoid an injury designation.

  • Jakobi Meyers WR | JAC

Raiders' Jakobi Meyers: Remains sidelined Thursday

Meyers (ankle) remained sidelined at practice Thursday, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.

Back-to-back absences make Friday's practice pivotal with regard to Meyers' Week 6 status ahead of Aidan O'Connell's first start of the season. Meyers (if healthy) and TE Brock Bowers profile as O'Connell's top targets, with Davante Adams (hamstring) still not practicing and potentially getting traded soon.

  • Zay Jones WR | ARI

Cardinals' Zay Jones: Limited by hamstring

Jones (suspension) was limited at Thursday's practice due to a hamstring injury, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Reinstated from his five-game suspension to begin the season on Monday, Jones then had a one-game roster exemption placed on him by the Cardinals, giving the team until Monday, Oct. 14 to bring him back to the active roster. Arizona released WR Chris Moore on Wednesday, thereby opening up an immediate roster spot for Jones, but the latter now is dealing with a health concern of unknown severity. Arizona can clear up any questions about Jones' status for Week 6 on Friday's injury report, but he'll need to have the exemption removed by Saturday at 4:00 p.m. ET to have any chance to play Sunday at Green Bay.

  • Johnny Wilson WR | PHI

    Eagles' Johnny Wilson: Continues progress

Wilson (concussion) was a full participant in practice Thursday.

Wilson has now logged back-to-back full sessions as he maneuvers through the league's five-step protocol. Assuming he suffers no setbacks in his recovery, Wilson appears on track to suit up Sunday against the Browns. However, he'll still need clearance from an independent neurologist before he can return to the field.

  • Packers' Christian Watson: Another limited practice

Watson (ankle) practiced on a limited basis Thursday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.

After departing the Packers' Week 4 loss to the Vikings with a left high-ankle sprain, Watson seemed in line for a multi-game absence, as is the case for most such injuries. However, Watson now has been able to log back-to-back capped sessions this week, potentially opening the door for a return to action as soon as Sunday against the Cardinals. The wideout told Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com on Wednesday that his activity was contained to individual and group periods, so reps in team periods still await the third-year pro. In the end, Friday's practice report may reveal if Watson has any chance to keep his absence to just one contest.

  • Robert Woods WR | PIT

Texans' Robert Woods: Misses another practice

Woods (foot) remained absent from practice Thursday.

Woods also missed Wednesday's practice, so what he's able to do during Friday's session will loom larger in terms of his status for Sunday's game against the Patriots. With Nico Collins (hamstring) on IR, Woods is a candidate to see added WR snaps behind Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell, provided his foot issue doesn't impact his availability.
