The Rams activated Long (hamstring) from injured reserve Tuesday.

Long finally appears to be on track to make his 2023 debut following the Rams' bye in Week 10. When he suits up, he'll settle into a depth role behind top tight end Tyler Higbee.

Hurst entered the NFL's concussion protocol during this past Thursday's 16-13 loss to the Bears, a league source tells Joe Person of The Athletic.

Panthers head coach Frank Reich hasn't confirmed that Hurst was placed in the protocol, but the tight end's status could get cleared up when the team releases its first Week 11 injury report Wednesday. Hurst finished the Week 10 contest with two catches for 14 yards on four targets and has moved into a time share with Tommy Tremble, with both players logging north of 30 percent of the offensive snaps over the past four games. If Hurst can't go Sunday against the Cowboys, Tremble would likely serve as the Panthers' primary tight end, though Ian Thomas (calf) could also factor into the mix after he was designated for return from injured reserve last week.

Jenkins was cut from the Eagles' practice squad Tuesday.

The Eagles have decided to part ways with the 25-year-old tight end just two weeks after signing him to their practice squad. Jenkins played his college ball at Georgia Tech, and he has yet to appear in an NFL game. In a corresponding move, Philadelphia signed tight end Noah Togiai to its practice squad Tuesday.

Togiai worked out with Philadelphia on Monday, and it must have gone well, as the team has decided to bring the 26-year-old tight end on to its practice squad. The Oregon State product was most recently with the Raiders' organization, and his last in-game action came in 2022 with the Eagles. In a corresponding move, Philadelphia cut E.J. Jenkins from its practice squad Tuesday.

Tomlinson was cut from the Ravens' practice squad Tuesday.

Tomlinson returned to Baltimore after a one-year stint with the Broncos on a practice squad deal in early October. The veteran tight end never found his way to the active roster and will likely pursue new opportunities elsewhere.

Schultz recorded four receptions on six targets for 71 yards during Sunday's 30-27 victory over the Bengals.

Schultz followed up his season-high performance last week (10-130-1) with another solid outing. After a slow start to the year, the veteran tight end has found his groove with rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud. Over the last six games, Schultz has recorded 30 receptions on 42 targets for 374 yards and four touchdowns.

Smith caught one of two targets for one yard during Sunday's 25-23 loss to Arizona.

Smith has been one of the biggest fantasy surprises this year, outproducing fellow tight end Kyle Pitts nearly every week. However, the veteran fell flat versus Arizona after posting a season-high 100 receiving yards versus Minnesota last week. Smith wasn't the only Falcons' pass catcher who struggled Sunday, though. Taylor Heinicke (hamstring) and Desmond Ridder combined to throw for less than 100 yards, as Atlanta leaned heavily on the run game. Smith has value in PPR leagues, but it's difficult to trust any Falcons' skill players for fantasy purposes this year.

Togiai (undisclosed) had a workout with the Eagles on Monday, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

Togiai previously spent parts of two seasons in the Eagles' organization, but most recently was with the Raiders, where he was cut from their practice squad injured list in October. Now healthy, the Oregon State product is in search of a new opportunity and may find one with his old squad.

Whyle recorded two receptions on five targets for 16 yards in Sunday's 20-6 loss to Tampa Bay.

Whyle got more involved in the offense, commanding a career-high five targets while also playing 27 offensive snaps. Chigoziem Okonkwo remains the top tight end in Tennessee, though the team has shown a willingness to play with two tight ends on the field regularly. That could result in increased usage for Whyle down the stretch as the Titans look to improve their offense.

Okonkwo recorded three receptions (on six targets) for 27 yards in Sunday's 20-6 loss to the Buccaneers.

Even with Will Levis under center, the story remains the same for Okonkwo. Okonkwo has consistent involvement in the offense -- he's earned at least four targets in seven of nine games -- but isn't utilized downfield, as only one of his 27 receptions on the season has gone for more than 20 yards. He now has failed to reach 30 receiving yards in four consecutive contests.
