  • Tommy Tremble TE | CAR

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Uneventful return from injury

Tremble caught two of his three targets for 13 yards in Sunday's 28-14 loss to the Broncos.

Tremble returned and served as the Panthers' No. 1 tight end Sunday after missing Carolina's Week 7 loss to the Commanders with a back injury. The Notre Dame product outpaced rookie Ja'Tavion Sanders (1-7-0 receiving line) in targets, catches and yards in Week 8. It appears Tremble is back serving as the Panthers' top tight end; however, with Carolina's recent offensive struggles, he'll likely have difficulty finding fantasy relevance going forward.

  • Lucas Krull TE | DEN

Broncos' Lucas Krull: Back in action

Krull (shoulder) returned to the field Sunday versus the Panthers, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports.

Krull briefly left the game with a shoulder injury but he has since returned. To this point, the tight end has caught both of his targets for 18 yards against Carolina.

  • Lucas Krull TE | DEN

Broncos' Lucas Krull: Questionable to return

Krull (shoulder) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Panthers, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports.

The tight end caught his only target for three yards before exiting. Krull recorded six catches for 57 yards and no scores in three previous games this season. The Broncos do not have another active tight end Sunday beyond starter Adam Trautman.

  • 49ers' George Kittle: Active in Week 8

Kittle (foot) is active for Sunday's game versus the Cowboys, Lindsey Pallares of the 49ers' official site reports.

Kittle tended to a foot sprain during Week 8 prep, limiting him to a pair of capped sessions Thursday and Friday and leaving his status up in the air for Sunday. Having said that, he'll be available to San Francisco's offense this weekend along with WR Deebo Samuel (illness). The pair should be the team's featured pass catchers for the foreseeable future with WR Brandon Aiyuk (knee) out for the season and WR Jauan Jennings (hip) sidelined for a second straight contest.

  • Cade Otton TE | TB

Buccaneers' Cade Otton: Two touchdowns in loss

Otton secured nine of 10 targets for 81 yards and two touchdowns in the Buccaneers' 31-26 loss to the Falcons on Sunday.

Otton led the Buccaneers in receptions, receiving yards and targets, not wholly surprising considering the absences of Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (IR-knee). The third-year tight end recorded his second and third receiving touchdowns of the season on five- and four-yard grabs in the first and fourth quarters, respectively, and he now boasts a wide-receiver-like 17-181-2 line on 20 targets over the last pair of contests. Otton could remain similarly busy during a Week 9 road showdown against the Chiefs on Monday night, Nov. 4, considering Godwin is out for the season and Evans isn't expected back until after the Week 11 bye.

  • Hunter Henry TE | NE

Patriots' Hunter Henry: Five catches as Maye concussed

Henry caught five of six targets for 45 yards in Sunday's 25-22 win over the Jets.

Henry had a would-be 39-yard catch from Jacoby Brissett wiped out by a holding penalty in the third quarter, but he still finished just one receiving yard shy of Kayshon Boutte's team-leading total. All three of New England's touchdowns came on the ground, as the passing game took a back seat after Drake Maye's (concussion) first-half exit. Henry's ceiling will be lower in Week 9 against the Titans if Brissett starts at quarterback rather than Maye.

  • Feleipe Franks TE | CAR

Panthers' Feleipe Franks: Won't return vs. Denver

Franks (concussion) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Broncos, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.

Franks will remain in the league's concussion protocols, and he'll need to gain clearance before returning to regular-season action. His practice participation leading up to the Panthers' Week 9 game against New Orleans on Sunday, Nov. 3 will be worth monitoring.

  • Jaguars' Brenton Strange: Cashes in all five targets Sunday

Strange corralled all five of his targets for 59 yards in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Packers.

Strange finished with the most receptions for the Jaguars on Sunday, but it was fellow tight end Evan Engram who produced the better fantasy line (4-36-1). Strange has provided low-end fantasy value as a sophomore and should be treated as such heading into next Sunday's road tilt against the Eagles.

  • Kyle Pitts TE | ATL

Falcons' Kyle Pitts: Two touchdown grabs in win

Pitts secured four of five targets for 91 yards and two touchdowns in the Falcons' 31-26 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday.

Pitts finished just a catch and yard short of team leader Darnell Mooney, and the talented tight end continued to generate the type of production befitting his vast skill set. Pitts struck from 36 and 49 yards out in the first and second quarters, respectively, with Antoine Winfield stripping the ball from a a relaxed Pitts just after the latter had broken the plane of the goal line. The 2021 first-round pick's yardage tally was a new season high, and he's now been at 65 yards or more in four consecutive contests heading into a Week 9 home battle against the Cowboys.

  • Evan Engram TE | DEN

Jaguars' Evan Engram: Catches first TD of 2024

Engram caught four of five targets for 36 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Packers.

Engram cashed in his first touchdown of the season in the second half of a narrow loss to Green Bay. The athletic tight end had participated in just three games prior to Sunday's score, marking a good time for fantasy managers in need of a tight end to pick up the veteran. Engram carries value into a Week 9 matchup against the Eagles next Sunday.
