Lawrence Cager TE | WAS
Lawrence Cager: Back with practice squad
Cager signed with the Commanders' practice squad Saturday.
Cager was cut from the Commanders' practice squad Wednesday, but he has quickly made his way back to the team. The 28-year-old last played in 2023 with the Giants, when he caught four of five targets for 36 yards and a touchdown over 11 regular-season games.

Nate Adkins TE | DEN
Broncos' Nate Adkins: Ruled out for Week 2
Adkins (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against Indianapolis.
Adkins has been working his way back from a tightrope procedure that he underwent in July on an ankle sprain and missed Week 1 against Tennessee. The veteran tight end did manage a pair of limited practice sessions to end the current week, so he appears to be making progress despite being ruled out for Week 2. Denver's tight-end room Sunday will consist of Evan Engram, Adam Trautman and Lucas Krull.

Brock Bowers TE | LV
Raiders' Brock Bowers: Not practicing Friday
Bowers (knee) wasn't spotted at Friday's practice, Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal and Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com report.
Bowers didn't practice Thursday, either, so what the star tight end is able to do Saturday (if anything) will be notable with regard to his chances of suiting up Monday night against the Chargers. Per Adam Hill of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Bowers said of his Week 2 status Thursday, "We'll see how it's feeling throughout the week, but I'm hoping to play." Unless Bowers ends up without an injury designation Saturday, however, cautious fantasy managers are advised to consider a contingency plan at TE this week, considering Monday's 10:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

Mason Taylor TE | NYJ
Jets' Mason Taylor: Questionable after full practice
Taylor (ankle) logged a full practice Friday but is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bills, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Taylor seems more likely to play than not based on his positive trend in practice participation, as he didn't practice Wednesday before being limited Thursday and upgrading to all activity Friday. The rookie second-round pick already sits atop the depth chart at tight end, but if Taylor's limited or unavailable Sunday, the Jets would lean more heavily on some combination of Jeremy Ruckert, Stone Smartt and Jelani Woods.

Dallas Goedert TE | PHI
Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Ruled out for Week 2
Goedert (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game at Kansas City, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports.
Goedert handled a 92 percent route share and a team-high seven targets in last Thursday's 24-20 win over Dallas, but a knee sprain has kept him out of practice ever since, leaving the Eagles with Grant Calcaterra and Kylen Granson as their top tight ends. Goedert is a reasonable lineup option for fantasy whenever he's healthy, but we're already seeing why he wasn't necessarily drafted as a starter this summer. If he doesn't return for Week 3, this will be Goedert's sixth consecutive season with multiple missed games.

Isaiah Likely TE | NYG
Ravens' Isaiah Likely: Won't play Sunday
Likely has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Browns.
Likely was listed as a limited practice participant Friday, which suggests that he's moving in the right direction ahead of the Ravens' Sept. 22 contest against the Lions. In Likely's continued absence, Mark Andrews and Charlie Kolar will handle Baltimore's TE reps this weekend.
-
Dawson Knox TE | BUF
Bills' Dawson Knox: Clear for Week 2
Knox (hip) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game at the Jets.
The Bills limited Knox's activity level at Wednesday's practice and Thursday's walkthrough due to a hip injury, but a return to all activity Friday sets him up to be available for a Week 2 AFC East matchup. Knox earned a 57 percent snap share during this past Sunday's win against the Ravens on his way to a 2-20-0 line on two targets, while fellow TE Dalton Kincaid played 50 percent of the offensive snaps and hauled in all four of his targets for 48 yards and one touchdown.
-
Colby Parkinson TE | LAR
Rams' Colby Parkinson: Doubtful for Week 2
Parkinson (shoulder) is doubtful for Sunday's game versus Tennessee, Greg Beacham of the Associated Press reports.
Parkinson was injured in the first half of last Sunday's win over the Texans but quickly returned to finish the game. Now that the adrenaline has worn off, Parkinson is unlikely to play against the Titans due to the sprained AC joint. With Parkinson likely to sit out, Tyler Higbee, Davis Allen and rookie Terrance Ferguson will handle tight end duties for the Rams.

Tip Reiman TE | ARI
Cardinals' Tip Reiman: Won't play Week 2
Reiman (foot) won't play Sunday against the Panthers, Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said Friday, Bo Brack of PHNX Sports reports.
Reiman will sit out Week 2 due to the injury he suffered in the season-opening win over the Saints. Elijah Higgins is likely to be the primary beneficiary of Reiman's absence. Reiman had a 52 percent Week 1 snap share compared to Higgins' 30 percent mark, with both lagging significantly behind star starter Trey McBride's 97 percent.
