The Vikings signed Oliver to a three-year, $23.25 million contract on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Oliver is one of the league's better run-blocking tight ends and he filled in capably as a pass-catcher at times in 2024 for T.J. Hockenson, who didn't make his debut until Week 9. With Hockenson now fully recovered from the ACL tear he sustained in 2023, Oliver will resume his usual role in Minnesota's offense.

Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Tuesday that Smith, who did not attend voluntary OTAs, is not at mandatory minicamp and that his absence is not excused, James Palmer of 104.3 The Fan reports.

McDaniel said he "wouldn't get into personal matters" concerning Smith's absence, per C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald, which comes in the wake of the tight end having expressed his desire for a reworked contract and subsequently being floated as a trade candidate. Smith broke out with a career-best 88-884-8 receiving line (111 targets) across 17 regular-season appearances with the Dolphins in 2024, becoming a focal point of the passing game as Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill (wrist) and Jaylen Waddle all dealt with injuries. Smith is heading into the final season of a two-year deal and is slated to carry just a $3.49 million base salary and $4.6 million cap hit for 2025, lower than the likes of Austin Hooper, Will Dissly and Josh Oliver. It's possible Smith's holdout continues indefinitely if the Dolphins don't acquiesce to a contract adjustment.

Broncos head coach Sean Payton said Thursday that Engram (shoulder), who has been an active participant at OTAs, has shown "real good instincts" at practice, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.

Engram said Thursday he feels "the potential is through the roof" for second-year quarterback Bo Nix, per DiLalla, and the veteran tight end projects to be a significant part of the young signal-caller's Year 2 development. Now fully recovered from the hamstring and labrum injuries that limited him to nine regular-season appearances with Jacksonville in 2024, Engram is entrenched as Denver's top tight end above Adam Trautman, and he's staring down a seemingly straightforward path to emerging as the No. 2 option in the passing game behind top wideout Courtland Sutton. Marvin Mims, Devaughn Vele and Troy Franklin project as complementary options and are joined by rookie third-rounder Pat Bryant, but Engram is clearly the Broncos' most proficient target outlet for short passes, even if his prime is in the past as he enters his age-31 season. Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports that Engram's usage at OTAs suggests a key role in the passing game.

Parham (Achilles) was placed on injured reserve by the Steelers on Thursday, Mike DeFabo of The Athletic reports.

The tight end tore his Achilles during OTAs on Tuesday, but this move confirms that he's out for the season. Parham signed with the Steelers in February, spent most of 2024 on Denver's practice squad and last caught an NFL pass in 2023 with the Chargers. That was also his best season, when he grabbed 27 passes for 285 yards and four scores.

Kolar (arm) is an active on-field participant at OTAs, per the Ravens' official site.

Kolar secured a career-high nine of 11 targets for 131 yards and one score while suiting up for 13 regular-season games in 2024, though he remained an afterthought in the receiving game compared to top tight ends Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely. He missed four games due to a broken forearm, then returned for Week 18 and the playoffs before another arm injury forced him out of Baltimore's divisional-round loss to the Bills, but Kolar now appears fully healthy. As the 2022 fourth-round pick heads into the final year of his rookie deal, he remains positioned for a reserve role behind Andrews and Likely.

Ismail (undisclosed) is participating during OTAs, Matt Aguirre of the Raiders' official site reports.

Ismail missed half of the 2024 season with an undisclosed injury, but it's not bothering him anymore with offseason workouts now underway. He has yet to make his regular-season NFL debut, and he has his work cut out for him to earn a place on Las Vegas' final 53-man roster for 2025.

Parham tore his Achilles during OTAs on Tuesday and will likely miss the 2025 season, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Parham signed with the Steelers in late February after spending most of last season on Denver's practice squad. The veteran tight end logged a career-high 27 catches for 285 yards and four touchdowns over 14 regular-season games with the Chargers in 2023 but hasn't appeared in an NFL contest since. He was slated to compete for a depth role with the Steelers behind Pat Freiermuth.

Prieskorn signed a contract with the Broncos on Tuesday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.

Prieskorn went unselected in April's NFL Draft but subsequently inked a deal with Detroit. He was waived May 12 before landing with the Broncos on Tuesday. Prieskorn will try to carve out a spot on Denver's roster after compiling 850 receiving yards and seven touchdowns over his final two collegiate seasons at Ole Miss.

Tremble (back) is expected to retake the field during the preseason but isn't likely to be ready for the start of training camp, Sheena Quick of Fox Sports Radio 1340 reports.

The tight end underwent surgery to address a back issue in mid-May, and while it was initially reported that Tremble was on track to return for the start of training camp, it sounds like his recovery will stretch until late August. That opens the door for second-year pro Ja'Tavion Sanders and rookie fifth-rounder Mitchell Evans to compete for expanded first-team reps and potentially even expanded regular-season roles. Tremble is the best blocker in Carolina's tight end corps however, which will assure him a significant role once he's fully healthy.

Schultz (leg) is on the practice field Tuesday for voluntary OTAs, Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Schultz missed a handful of days earlier in OTAs due to an apparent leg injury, but he already appears to be over the issue. Now heading into his third year working with C.J. Stroud (pectoral), Schultz is competing for targets in a crowded pass-catching corps led by Nico Collins. Houston acquired veteran slot receiver Christian Kirk via a trade with Jacksonville this offseason, then added wideouts Jayden Higgins in the second round of the 2025 Draft and Jaylin Noel in the third round. Schultz remains entrenched as the starting tight end, but his ceiling is capped as either the third or fourth option in Houston's passing game.
