  • Browns' Harrison Bryant: Exits with possible concussion

Bryant is being evaluated for a concussion during Sunday's game against the Jets, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Bryant likely is questionable to return after he suffered a potential concussion at some point during Sunday's contest. With the No. 2 tight end sidelined for the time being, Jesse James could see a bigger role in Cleveland's offense versus Carolina.

  • Devin Asiasi TE | TEN

    Bengals' Devin Asiasi: Inactive Sunday

Asiasi (quadriceps) was deemed inactive ahead of Sunday's contest against the Cowboys, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.

Asiasi has been dealing with a nagging injury quad issue that has kept him sidelined since the Bengals' final preseason game in late August. In 25-year-old's absence, Drew Sample and Mitchell Wilcox should serve as Cincinnati's backup tight ends behind Hayden Hurst in Week 2.

  • Brevin Jordan TE | HOU

Texans' Brevin Jordan: Ready to go Week 2

Jordan (ankle) is active for Sunday's Week 2 clash against the Broncos.

The second-year tight end will therefore be available after getting a pair of limited practices in this past week. Despite a quiet Week 1 in which he saw fellow tight end O.J. Howard steal the spotlight with two touchdown receptions, Jordan's presence is valuable for what shapes up as an all-hands-on-deck game for the Texans offense against a Broncos team out for redemption following a Week 1 upset at the hands of the Seahawks.

  • 49ers' George Kittle: Officially not playing Sunday

Kittle (groin) is listed as inactive Sunday versus the Seahawks, Lindsey Pallares and Briana McDonald of the 49ers' official site report.

There was a glimmer of hope that Kittle would be able to make his season debut Week 2 after he returned to a limited practice Friday. Coach Kyle Shanahan told David Lombardi of The Athletic that Kittle looked "awesome" during that session, but despite receiving a questionable designation, the tide turned back against him as the weekend went on. Now officially inactive for a second consecutive game, Kittle will yield tight end reps to Tyler Kroft, Ross Dwelley and Charlie Woerner on Sunday.

  • James Mitchell TE | CAR

Lions' James Mitchell: Inactive once again

Mitchell (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Commanders.

Mitchell will watch from the sidelines again in Week 2, as the rookie is still behind T.J. Hockenson, Brock Wright and Shane Zylstra on the team's tight end positional depth chart. He'll work in practice this week to get a chance to suit up in Week 3 against the Vikings.

  • Nick Vannett TE | SEA

    Saints' Nick Vannett: Inactive Sunday

Vannett (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Buccaneers, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Vannett was also inactive in Week 1, as the team still has Adam Trautman, Taysom Hill and Juwan Johnson ahead of him.

  • C.J. Uzomah TE | PHI

Jets' C.J. Uzomah: Inactive against Cleveland

Uzomah (hamstring) is inactive Week 2 against the Browns.

Uzomah entered the week with a "doubtful" tag after sitting out Friday's practice session entirely, and it was reported earlier Sunday that he wasn't on track to play. That idea was confirmed with the official inactives report, leaving Tyler Conklin to start at tight end, with Jeremy Ruckert and Kenny Yeboah on hand to work in a reserve capacity.

  • Hunter Long TE | JAC

Dolphins' Hunter Long: Inactive against Baltimore

Long (ankle) is listed as inactive for Sunday's game against the Ravens.

After missing the Dolphins' first two practices of the week due to an ankle injury, Long will not travel with the team to Baltimore. With the 24-year-old off the field, Tanner Conner will will likely take over the team's No. 3 tight end role for his season debut.

  • Cole Turner TE | MIA

Commanders' Cole Turner: Inactive against Lions

Turner (coach's decision) is inactive Week 2 against the Lions.

While Turner made it off the injury report this week, the rookie tight end will ultimately have to wait at least another week before making his NFL debut. Washington will still have three tight ends active, with the position group consisting of Logan Thomas, John Bates and Armani Rogers.

  • C.J. Uzomah TE | PHI

Jets' C.J. Uzomah: Not on track to play Sunday

Uzomah (hamstring), who is officially listed as doubtful for Sunday's game in Cleveland, isn't in line to play, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Fantasy managers likely weren't counting on Uzomah playing this weekend after he was tagged as "doubtful" following Friday's practice, but Pelissero's report confirms the tight end hasn't progressed enough in the last 48 hours to have a realistic shot at suiting up Sunday. Expect Uzomah to be included on the Jets' inactive list released 90 minutes prior to the 1 p.m. ET kickoff, leaving Tyler Conklin in line to serve as the team's clear top tight end.
