Dennis Allen likes the way Darren McFadden is running
Raiders coach Dennis Allen praised running back Darren McFadden's work in Sunday's loss to the Texans. "I thought he ran the ball hard," Allen told ESPN.com.
"I thought he looked explosive. That was good to see. Hopefully we'll be able to continue to get him more opportunities."
With Maurice Jones-Drew (hand) sitting out, McFadden ran 12 times for 37 yards (3.1 ypc) and a touchdown and caught two passes for 31 yards.

Dolphins could turn to two undrafted rookie runners
The Week 3 status of Dolphins running back Lamar Miller (ankle) is not yet known, and running back Knowshon Moreno (elbow) already has been ruled out. That means Miami's running game could belong to undrafted rookies Damien Williams and Orleans Darkwa, reports the South Florida Sun Sentinel.
Williams ran five times for 19 yards in the Week 2 loss at Buffalo, while Darkwa caught all three of his targets for 31 yards. Miami hosts the Chiefs on Sunday.

Chiefs won't change game plan with Knile Davis starting
Chiefs coach Andy Reid said if running back Jamaal Charles (ankle) can't play Sunday at Miami, the game plan won't change significantly with Knile Davis as the starter. "I don't think it would change much from what you saw [Sunday]," Reid told the Kansas City Star.
"[Davis] was involved in a lot of different areas."
Davis ran for 79 yards and two touchdowns and caught six passes for 26 yards in the Week 2 loss at Denver.

Trent Richardson enjoys best game as a Colt
Colts running back Trent Richardson failed to surpass 64 rushing yards in any game last season. He ran for 79 yards on 21 carries (3.8 ypc) in Monday's loss to the Eagles, adding a 16-yard catch on his lone target.
Richardson got off to a great start and had 57 rushing yards in the first half. He displayed better burst and was hard to bring down. Predictably, Richardson bogged down after halftime, even coughing up a third-quarter fumble.
Still, Richardson will look to build off this performance Week 3 at Jacksonville.
