With Knowshon Moreno out for the season, Dolphins running back Daniel Thomas worked behind Lamar Miller in a Week 7 victory over the Bears at Soldier Field. Thomas racked up 50 yards of total offense, rushing for 25 yards on seven attempts and catching all three of his targets for 25 yards in a 27-14 victory.

Miami will face Jacksonville in Week 8.

The Broncos have listed the following players as inactive for Sunday night's game against the 49ers: running back Montee Ball (groin), wide receiver Cody Latimer, cornerback Tony Carter, linebacker Shaquil Barrett, guard Ben Garland, tackle Michael Schofield and defensive tackle Mitch Unrein.

The Broncos are very healthy heading into Week 7, with Ball the only player on the active roster missing the game due to injury. All the team's players listed as probable on the final injury report are active, including running back Juwan Thompson (knee), linebacker Corey Nelson (hamstring), kicker Brandon McManus (groin) and defensive backs Omar Bolden (groin), David Bruton (ankle) and Chris Harris (knee).

A poor effort by the Browns offensively Sunday against the host Jaguars resulted in fewer minor contributions from bit players.

Among them was fullback Ray Agnew, who caught a three-yard pass on the first play from scrimmage and did nothing but block the rest of the way.

More productive was wide receiver Taylor Gabriel, who snagged three passes for 39 yards despite seven targets.

Though Zac Stacy was active after missing some practice time earlier in the week with an ankle injury, the Rams didn't seem terribly interested in using him in Week 7. And they didn't lean all that much on Benny Cunningham either, at least not as far as the running game was concerned. No, their primary ball carrier against division rival Seattle was Tre Mason, who didn't even debut with the team until Week 6. And he was a revelation in the role, picking up 85 yards on 18 carries, including a 6-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.

Cunningham was still involved in the passing game. In fact, he was the Rams' leading receiver with 46 yards on five catches, scoring a touchdown on one of them. But he carried the ball only two times for 3 yards.

Stacy, meanwhile, played only one snap and didn't get a single touch. It's possible the Rams were saving him with his ankle at less than 100 percent, but considering he practiced in full Friday, I doubt it. As the team's intended starter at running back, he never ran for more than 71 yards in any of his first five games, so Mason already has him beat.

Maybe you hold on to Stacy if you're the extra cautious type, but Mason looks like the Rams running back to own right now, with Cunningham also having some low-end appeal in points-per-reception leagues.

Cardinals running back Andre Ellington is dealing with some cramps Week 7.

Ellington is probable to return. He laid on the field trying to stretch out his leg for some time before walking off. Ellington had 86 rushing yards and 62 receiving yards before leaving the contest. 

Two Colts pitched in offensively in their Sunday thrashing of Cincinnati. The most significant was running back Dan Herron, who rushed for 37 yards on five carries.

The other was wide receiver Donte Moncrief, who caught a pass for nine yards.

Colts running back Trent Richardson tweeted an encouraging thought after the win over Cincinnati on Sunday in regard to a hamstring injury that knocked him out of the game in the fourth quarter.

"I'll be good," he wrote. "Tell everyone I'm a wolverine and you can't hold a wolverine down."

Richardson had one of his best all-around games as a pro. He rushed for 77 yards on 14 carries and added four catches for 41 yards.

The three-headed monster that had the Browns ranked third in the NFL in rushing yards heading into the Sunday game at Jacksonville was stopped cold by the Jaguars.

Ben Tate, Isaiah Crowell and Terrance West combined for just 62 yards in 29 attempts for a meager 2.1 average.

Tate ran for 36 yards on 16 tries, but was held to 18 yards on 15 attempts aside from an 18-yard jaunt up the middle in the second quarter. Crowell managed 18 yards on seven tries while West added just eight yards in five attempts.

Ravens running back Bernard Pierce recorded a rushing touchdown for a second straight game during a 29-7 win Week 7 vs. Atlanta. Pierce finished with 21 rushing yards on eight carries, while recording no catches. He was targeted once.

Pierce picked up his second rushing touchdown on a 1-yard carry with 2:38 left in the second quarter. He has five career rushing touchdowns, and one more rushing touchdown this season will give him a career high.

The Ravens are back in action Week 8 at Cincinnati.

The Falcons didn't get a lot of production from their running backs during a 29-7 loss Week 7 at Baltimore.

Starter Steven Jackson led the way with 22 rushing yards on eight carries. Devonta Freeman was second with 20 rushing yards on two carries, Antone Smith was third on the team with 10 rushing yards on three carries and Jacquizz Rodgers added 9 rushing yards on two carries.

Freeman was the most-active running back in the passing game, totaling five catches for 17 yards. Jackson and Rodgers each had one catch for 3 yards, while Smith had two catches for minus-1 yard.

The Falcons are back in action Week 8 vs. Detroit.
