Redskins' Silas Redd out for year with knee injury
Redskins running back Silas Redd will miss the 2015 season with a knee injury, coach Jay Gruden announced on Saturday.
Redd suffered a torn MCL and ACL in his right knee in Friday's reseason game.
"It's very unfortunate for Silas," Gruden said. "He was having a good camp and making good progress."

Martin has rushed for 950 yards over the last two seasons after a breakout rookie campaign in which he rumbled for 1,454 yards in 2012. Heading into this year, Martin is focused on staying healthy and on the field.
"I've got to take care of my body. If I take care of my body and stay in my playbook, I'll be just fine," he said. "Sky's the limit this year. A lot of potential going into this year with this team."

Joseph Randle returns to Cowboys' practice
Cowboys running back Joseph Randle returned to practice on Tuesday, a day after suffering a strained oblique.
Randle participated in individual position drills but not the team portion, per the Dallas Morning News.
"I feel great," Randle said, although he wasn't sure if he'd play in the preseason opener.
"I would love to play but that's not up to me,'' Randle said. "That's the coaching staff's job to do that kind of stuff, so we'll let them do their job.''
