Ryan Mathews RB | PHI
Eagles' Ryan Mathews: Questionable to return Thursday
Mathews is questionable to return to Thursday's game against the Giants after suffering a stinger in an undisclosed location.
The injury occurred in the fourth quarter of Thursday's game. Mathews had tallied 46 yards on 18 carries to go along with catching his only target for 16 yards before leaving. Darren Sproles figures to shoulder the load in the backfield going forward if Mathews is unable to return.

Ka'Deem Carey RB | CHI
Bears' Ka'Deem Carey: Limited in practice
Carey (shoulder) was listed as a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
Carey was limited in Wednesday's session as well. However, there isn't anything to suggest the tailback is in danger of missing Saturday's matchup with the Redskins. Expect the Bears' final injury report of the week Friday to clarify Carey's potential availability.

Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Does not practice Thursday
Gordon (hip/knee) did not practice Thursday, Tom Krasovic of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
It's looking increasingly likely Gordon will miss his second straight game, as the second-year running back hasn't been able to make his way onto the practice field. If the recently announced Pro Bowl alternate does indeed miss Saturday's game against the Browns, look for Kenneth Farrow to get the start, with Ronnie Hillman likely mixing in as well.

C.J. Anderson RB | LAR
Broncos' C.J. Anderson: Not in line to practice again this season
Coach Gary Kubiak relayed Wednesday that Anderson (knee) will not return to practice this season, ESPN's Jeff Legwold reports.
Anderson has been on IR since Oct. 29, after undergoing surgery to repair the meniscus in his right knee. Per Kubiak, the plan is for Anderson to "maybe start running here in the next two weeks. I would say he's on course for sometime in February." In Anderson's continued absence, Justin Forsett and Devontae Booker will continue to handle the Broncos' rushing duties.

Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Misses practice Wednesday
Gordon (hip/knee) did not practice Wednesday, Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Gordon, who also missed practice Tuesday, thus looks iffy for Saturday's game against the Browns. If Gordon remains sidelined this weekend, Kenneth Farrow would be in line for his second start in a row, with Ronnie Hillman also in the Chargers' Week 16 RB mix.

Andre Ellington RB | TB
Cardinals' Andre Ellington: Held to single touch
Ellington caught a nine-yard pass in Sunday's loss to the Saints.
Ellington's season has officially bottomed out, with just eight combined offensive snaps over the past two weeks. Ellington has reached 20 total yards just twice all year and once since Week 6. The veteran back's output looks all the worse with David Johnson on an all-world pace and Kerwynn Williams showing some big-play ability in recent weeks.

Akeem Hunt RB | KC
Texans' Akeem Hunt: Puts the ball on the ground twice
Hunt rushed for 15 yards on three carries, but fumbled twice in Sunday's win over the Jaguars.
Hunt was carving a small role out for himself since getting into the action mid-season. It's fair to wonder how many more opportunities he will get. The second-year back fumbled on two of his three carries, including once near the goal line. Given the strong stable of backs in Houston, patience is not something that needs to be exhibited by head coach Bill O'Brien - especially for a player with an already-modest role.

Kenyan Drake RB | GB
Dolphins' Kenyan Drake: Runs for 16 yards in win
Drake carried the ball five times in Saturday's win over the Jets, collecting 16 yards.
Though the totals were modest in both opportunities and yards, Saturday actually represented Drake's biggest chunk of action since Week 3. The rookie fell off after that, never topping more than four touches in a game as Jay Ajayi took hold of the starting gig with Damien Williams providing a change of pace. It's probably too little too late at this point for Drake, but he could continue to see an uptick in action given the fact that Matt Moore is now at quarterback. The Dolphins were run heavy in Moore's first start, rushing 27 times while dropping back 19.
-
Jonathan Williams RB | WAS
Bills' Jonathan Williams: Sees carries Sunday
Williams carried the ball three times for 10 yards during Sunday's 33-13 win over the Browns.
The rookie saw action once the Bills had a commanding lead, as the team continues to sprinkle him in. Still, he's well behind LeSean McCoy and Mike Gillislee on the depth chart and, frankly, in terms of current rushing ability. However, as a young player that had some success at Arkansas, there's hope he might have a bigger role in the future.

Terrence Magee RB | ATL
Seahawks' Terrence Magee: Signs with Seahawks
Magee signed a contact with the Seahawks on Tuesday, Curtis Crabtree of UPI.com reports.
Magee signed with the Seahawks for one game in September before promptly being released. He'll operate as the team's third or fourth option at running back and isn't likely to see much time on the field beyond special teams.
