Corey Clement RB | ARI
Eagles' Corey Clement: Active Week 5
Clement (quadriceps) is listed as active Sunday against the Vikings, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Despite failing to practice in any capacity this week, Clement unexpectedly avoided the inactive list, but he'll have to contend with healthier options Jay Ajayi and Wendell Smallwoord for touches out of the backfield. There's a chance Clement is an insurance policy in case one of Ajayi and Smallwood get injured, especially after the duo racked up 135 yards from scrimmage on 24 touches last Sunday at Tennessee.

Matt Breida RB | SF
49ers' Matt Breida: Officially active Week 5
Breida (shoulder) is active for Sunday's Week 5 tilt against the Cardinals.
Breida will suit up as expected after a week of limited practice participation. The second-year back will continue to split time with veteran Alfred Morris and attempt to build on the eye-popping 7.6 yards per carry he's averaging on his first 41 rushing attempts of the season.

Dalvin Cook RB | DAL
Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Inactive as expected Week 5
Cook (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's Week 5 tilt against the Eagles.
As expected, the second-year running back takes a seat for Sunday's conference showdown with the world champions. Latavius Murray projects to helm the Vikings backfield, while Mike Boone and Roc Thomas are around to serve as his backups.

Corey Grant RB | JAC
Jaguars' Corey Grant: Ruled out for rest of Sunday's tilt
Grant (foot) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against Kansas City, John Oehser of the Jaguars' official site reports.
Grant left Sunday's contest to receive further medical attention on his injured foot. With concerns worsening the injury, the Jaguars are going to take a more cautious approach with Grant. Brandon Wilds figures to slide into the primary backup role behind T.J. Yeldon, as Jacksonville is now down to just two healthy running backs for the rest of Sunday's game.

Corey Grant RB | JAC
Jaguars' Corey Grant: Injures foot, questionable to return
Grant is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Chiefs with a foot injury, Tad Dickman of the Jaguars Public Relations Staff reports.
Grant witnessed an uptake in usage entering Sunday's contest with starting running back Leonard Fournette (hamstring) unable to play. Even if Grant returns to the contest, he's unlikely to challenge T.J. Yeldon for the lead back role.

Joe Mixon RB | HOU
Bengals' Joe Mixon: Returns to action in Week 5
Mixon (knee) is in uniform Sunday against the Dolphins, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site reports.
Barring any setbacks, Mixon should be in line to head the team's Week 5 backfield, but per Hobson, "it's unclear how much he'll be able to play with the 82-degree heat testing his conditioning." As a result, the Bengals elected to activate Thomas Rawls on Sunday to provide depth behind Mixon and Mark Walton. With that in mind, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com suggests that Walton -- who logged five carries for nine yards in Week 4 -- could be turned to Sunday when Mixon (whose conditioning following his absence could be an issue) needs a breather.
-
Dalvin Cook RB | DAL
Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Reportedly out Sunday
Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that Cook (hamstring) will not play Sunday against the Eagles.
A final call on Cook's Week 5 availability will not be made until Sunday afternoon, but it was reported Saturday that he was not expected to play, and this more recent report moves the needle closer to him being inactive.
-
Mark Walton RB | MIA
Bengals' Mark Walton: On hand to spell Mixon in his return
With Giovani Bernard (knee) inactive Sunday, the Bengals' Week 5 backfield will be comprised of Joe Mixon, Walton and Thomas Rawls, Geoff Hobson of the team's official site reports.
Mixon is back in action following a knee procedure, but per Hobson's report, "it's unclear how much he'll be able to play with the 82-degree heat testing his conditioning." As a result, it's conceivable that Walton could see enough touches Sunday to help out those scrambling for running back help in Week 5. Rawls is presumably on hand to work in a backup/complementary role.

Thomas Rawls RB | JAC
Bengals' Thomas Rawls: Active Week 5
Rawls is active for Sunday's Week 5 tilt against the Dolphins, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
The veteran likely will slot in as third in the backfield pecking order behind rookie Mark Walton and returning starter Joe Mixon (knee). If he sees any action Sunday, it would mark Rawls' first snaps in Cincinnati since signing on Sept. 19. Given what's expected to be a minimal role at best, he doesn't warrant fantasy consideration.

Joe Mixon RB | HOU
Bengals' Joe Mixon: Should see bulk of Week 5 workload
Although both Mark Walton and Thomas Rawls are active for Sunday's Week 5 tilt against the Dolphins, Mixon is still expected to see a solid workload in his return from a knee injury, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Rawls doesn't figure to be any serious threat to touches and is likely only active as an emergency option, while the rookie Walton only has four carries on the season. However, with Mixon seeing his first game action after missing the last pair of contests following arthroscopic knee surgery, it's not surprising Cincinnati will insulate themselves against a setback with a full complement of backs in the absence of Mixon's primary backup Giovani Bernard (knee).
