Austin Ekeler RB | WAS
Chargers' Austin Ekeler: Stays effective despite limited role
Ekeler rushed for 60 yards on seven carries and wasn't targeted in the passing game during Sunday's 38-14 win over Cleveland.
Ekeler once again provided a serviceable fantasy performance with limited touches. He's racked up 56 or more scrimmage yards in every game this season despite getting seven touches three times, 10 touches twice and 14 touches once. Ekeler's role is clear ahead of a Week 7 matchup with Tennessee.

Latavius Murray RB | BUF
Vikings' Latavius Murray: Amasses 155 rushing yards, scores TD
Murray rushed for 155 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries and added a three-yard catch during Sunday's 27-17 win over Arizona.
Murray set the tone early, throwing a wicked stiff arm to free himself up for a 21-yard touchdown run midway through the first quarter. Murray wasn't even supposed to start the game, but he stepped in to record more rushing yards on Sunday than any Viking back had tallied this entire season. Along the way, the Vikings became stunningly balanced, running the ball on 46 percent of snaps as compared to 29 percent heading into Sunday. If this trend continues, the Vikings backfield could be more valuable in Week 7 against the Jets, with the only question whether it'll be Murray or Dalvin Cook (hamstring) -- the latter who was originally set to start Sunday -- leading the charge.

Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Touchdown binge continues in win
Gordon rushed for 132 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries while catching two of four targets for 18 yards in Sunday's 38-14 win over Cleveland.
Gordon opened the scoring with a four-yard rushing touchdown, then added scores from 10 and 11 yards out in the third quarter. He's been a touchdown machine this season, with six on the ground and three more through the air. Gordon should be treated as an RB1 in all matchups, including the upcoming Week 7 home tilt against Tennessee.

James Conner RB | ARI
Steelers' James Conner: Delivers big game before Bell's return
Conner rushed 19 times for 111 yards and two touchdowns while catching four of seven targets for 18 yards in Sunday's 28-21 win over the Bengals.
Conner scored a pair of one-yard touchdowns in the second quarter. He came less than a yard short of the goal line on a 25-yard run in the third and was subsequently stuffed on two attempts, so Pittsburgh was forced to settle for a field goal. With Le'Veon Bell due back during Pittsburgh's Week 7 bye, questions loom over Conner's workload moving forward. Chances are his role will be limited if Bell's healthy.

Christian McCaffrey RB | SF
Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Neutralized in loss to Washington
McCaffrey managed only 20 rushing yards on eight attempts, but added seven receptions for 46 yards in a 23-17 loss to the Redskins on Sunday.
An underrated Washington front seven held McCaffrey to his lowest offensive output (66 total yards) in an otherwise stellar sophomore campaign. Game flow did not facilitate a heavy workload on the ground for the second-year back, as Carolina fell into a double-digit deficit in the first half and was forced to air it out in an ultimately insufficient effort to mount a comeback. Week 7 brings an NFC heavyweight showdown with Philadelphia, and an Eagles defense that hadn't allowed a running back to exceed 42 rushing yards this season until Saquon Barkley put up 130 yards on the ground Thursday night.

Samaje Perine RB | CIN
Redskins' Samaje Perine: Active for first time this season
Perine is active for Sunday's contest versus the Panthers, Kareem Copeland of The Washington Post reports.
For the first time this season, Perine cracked the 46-man gameday roster. The opportunity arose with Chris Thompson (ribs/knee) inactive, but Adrian Peterson is still on hand to handle the bulk of the carries while Kapri Bibbs is the best bet to act as the Thompson fill-in. If he sees the field Sunday, Perine's track record includes 3.4 YPC and 22 catches (on 24 targets) in 16 games during the 2017 campaign.

Latavius Murray RB | BUF
Vikings' Latavius Murray: Gets start at running back
Murray will start at running back with Dalvin Cook (hamstring) inactive for Sunday's game against Arizona.
Even though Cook has missed two games due to injury and has been limited to 18 snaps in another one, Murray has yet to make a major impact. Murray has totaled just 106 yards on 30 carries (3.5 per attempt) and nine receptions for 60 yards while failing to find the end zone through five weeks. Still, that could change against a struggling Arizona defense that's 31st in rushing yards allowed per game.
-
Chase Edmonds RB | WAS
Cardinals' Chase Edmonds: Active Week 6
Edmonds (back) is officially active for Sunday's game at Minnesota.
Edmonds received the questionable tag after being added to the injury report Friday, but he's well enough to give it a go Sunday. The 22-year-old should serve his usual role behind workhorse David Johnson, who has dominated the touches out of Arizona's backfield.
-
Dalvin Cook RB | DAL
Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Inactive Week 6
Cook (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Although Cook was expected to return, his hamstring didn't react well to a pregame warmup. As such, Latavius Murray should handle the bulk of the running back workload Sunday, though Mike Boone and Roc Thomas could also get in on the act.

Latavius Murray RB | BUF
Vikings' Latavius Murray: Could split work with Cook
Murray could work in a timeshare with Dalvin Cook (hamstring) during Sunday's game against the Cardinals, as Cook is only expected to see the field for around 20-to-25 plays, Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Adam Schefter of ESPN essentially validated Goessling's report, relaying that Cook would likely only be available for about half the Vikings' offensive snaps, if that. While Cook noted after a limited practice Friday that his injured hamstring is feeling better, he acknowledged he's not quite 100 percent. As a result, the Vikings seem content to pick their spots carefully for Cook this week, paving the way for Murray to maintain a healthy snap count of his own. Even though Cook has missed two games due to injury and limited to 18 snaps in another one, Murray has yet to make a major impact. Murray has totaled just 106 yards on 30 carries (3.5 per attempt) and nine receptions for 60 yards while failing to find the end zone through five weeks.
