  • Ronald Jones RB | DAL

Buccaneers' Ronald Jones II: Lackluster in return

Jones rushed four times for two yards in the Buccaneers' 24-17 win over the Panthers on Sunday.

Making his return after a four-game absence, Jones essentially picked up where he'd left off, not a positive by any means in his case. The rookie's production was as middling as it was prior to his injury, and he's yet to top 3.0 yards per carry in any of the five regular-season games he's suited up for. Jones appears destined to remain firmly behind Peyton Barber in the backfield pecking order for the last four games of the regular season.

  • Austin Ekeler RB | WAS

Chargers' Austin Ekeler: Leads running backs in touches

Ekeler rushed 13 times for 21 yards and caught five of eight targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 33-30 win over the Steelers.

With Melvin Gordon (knee) sidelined, Ekeler took over as Los Angeles' lead back. However, the results -- outside of PPR leagues -- were poor, and rookie Justin Jackson (eight carries for 63 yards and a touchdown) cut into his workload and outproduced Ekeler. Fantasy owners were probably expecting more from the 23-year-old with the increased role after he averaged 5.2 yards per carry (in addition to his contributions in the passing game) prior to Sunday's dud. Gordon's status for Week 14's matchup against the Bengals is unclear at the moment, but Ekeler's underwhelming performance as starter may give fantasy owners pause regarding his status as a must-start option if Gordon is unable to go.

  • James Conner RB | ARI

Steelers' James Conner: Forced from game with leg injury

Conner carried 15 times for 60 yards and two touchdowns on caught three of four targets for 14 yards during Sunday's 33-30 loss to the Chargers before exiting with a lower-leg contusion late in the fourth quarter.

For the second straight game, Conner was mostly held in check, with 42 of his rushing yards coming on two carries. He was taken out of the game after getting rolled up on late in the contest, prompting the Steelers to turn to Jaylen Samuels at running back for the final few plays. Conner's injury appears minor according to early reports, but his status will bear monitoring in the coming days to discern if he'll be ready play Week 14 in Oakland.

  • James Conner RB | ARI

Steelers' James Conner: Initially diagnosed with bruise

Head coach Mike Tomlin said Conner suffered a lower-leg contusion during Sunday's 33-30 loss to the Chargers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Conner exited the game with only minutes remaining in the fourth quarter after racking up 74 total yards and two scores on 18 touches. While further medical testing may be necessary to pinpoint the exact nature of his injury, the reveal of just a bruise would be great news. However, Conner could miss time even with that diagnosis, and any absence wouldn't come at a worse time for most fantasy owners right before Conner was poised to take aim at a porous Raiders defense in Week 14. If Conner is unable to play, the Steelers would likely look to Jaylen Samuels to spearhead the rushing attack.

  • Doug Martin RB | LV

Raiders' Doug Martin: Inefficient, but finds end zone

Martin accounted for 61 rushing yards, one touchdown and a lost fumble on 18 carries, adding two receptions for six yards during Sunday's 40-33 loss to Oakland.

Once Marshawn Lynch (groin) was placed on injured reserve Oct. 22, the shift focused to veteran back Doug Martin, who had been wildly inefficient over his past two and a half years in the league (2.99 yards per carry between start of 2016 and Week 6 of this season). Through his first five appearances as the Raiders lead back this year, however, Martin found a way to somewhat replicate his early-career success by averaging a stellar 4.75 YPC on 60 attempts, while fielding 10-plus carries in every game over that span. That changed when the Chiefs held him in check Sunday, containing Martin to a 3.4 yards per rush average, his worst in an outing with double-digit carries since facing Detroit on Dec. 10, 2017. In Week 14, he and the Oakland backfield will oppose a Steelers defense that ranks top-10 against the run this year with 101.8 yards surrendered per game.

  • Zach Zenner RB | NO

Lions' Zach Zenner: Given one carry

Zenner recorded seven rushing yards on one carry during Sunday's 30-16 loss to the Rams.

In Kerryon Johnson's (knee) continued absence, LeGarrette Blount (16 carries) and Theo Riddick (eight) once again dominated the available carries. It's clear the Lions don't view the South Dakota State product as anything more than a serviceable backup who will make his biggest impact on special teams.

  • Jeff Wilson RB | MIA

49ers' Jeff Wilson: Totals 134 yards in loss

Wilson rushed 15 times for 61 yards and caught eight of nine targets for 73 yards in Sunday's 43-16 loss to the Seahawks.

Wilson left the game to nurse a foot injury late in the first half but was able to return and put up a monster day while Matt Breida missed time with a recurring ankle injury. Given the huge performance, the rookie may have earned the starting role if the out-of-contention 49ers decide to rest Breida going forward. In that case, the North Texas product could be an intriguing option at home Week 14 against the Broncos.

  • Derrick Henry RB | BAL

Titans' Derrick Henry: Finds end zone

Henry rushed the ball 10 times for 40 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-22 win over the Jets. He added two receptions for five yards.

Henry led the team in carries with 10 and matched Dion Lewis with his two receptions. While Henry isn't seeing enough volume to muster consistent fantasy value, he has been able to find the end zone of late, scoring four times in his last five games. That coincides with the resurgence of Marcus Mariota, which has had a positive effect on the entire offense. While Henry was entirely unusable early in the season, his recent involvement near the goal line pushes him into the flex conversation in deeper formats.

  • Dalvin Cook RB | DAL

Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Totals 106 scrimmage yards

Cook carried nine times for 84 yards and caught eight of 10 targets for an additional 22 yards during Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Patriots.

Cook fared well on the ground, averaging an impressive 9.3 yards per carry thanks to a long run of 32 yards. He didn't make it into double digits in carries as his team played from behind for most of the day, but he did record a new career high in receptions. Although Cook's 17 touches were his second-most of the season, he's still surpassed 10 carries just once and still hasn't recorded a rushing score. The second-year back will look to carry more of the load during next Monday's matchup with the Seahawks.

  • C.J. Anderson RB | LAR

C.J. Anderson: Scheduled for KC visit

Anderson is scheduled to visit the Chiefs on Monday, Josina Anderson of ESPN reports.

Spencer Ware was a disappointment in Sunday's 40-33 win over Oakland, taking 14 carries for 48 yards and a touchdown while adding just one catch for five yards. Reserve running back Damien Williams was a bit more efficient with 38 yards on five carries, but the Chiefs are making a wise decision to take a look at a veteran alternative after they released Kareem Hunt on Friday. The 27-year-old Anderson has been available since the Panthers released him Nov. 12. Fellow free agent Charcandrick West is also scheduled to visit his old club on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
