Mixon, who won't play Sunday against the Browns, is considered week-to-week with a foot injury, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

With that in mind, there's a chance he could also miss next weekend's tilt against the Titans. In such a scenario, Mixon would gain extra healing time by way of the Bengals' scheduled Week 9 bye. For as long as he's out, Giovani Bernard is in line to serve as the team's lead back, with Samaje Perine and Trayveon Williams on hand to work behind him.

Swift is expected to see an expanded role for the Lions in Sunday's game against the Falcons, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

While Rapoport notes that Adrian Peterson will continue to serve as the Lions' starting running back, the veteran could cede more snaps and carries to Swift on the heels of the rookie's breakout performance Week 6 versus the Jaguars. Peterson had already been regularly subbing out on passing downs in favor of Swift, but the latter likely earned himself more work on the ground after rushing 14 times for 116 yards and two scores in the win over Jacksonville. The Lions may not have the luxury of playing ahead in Week 7 like they did for most of Week 6, but Swift's prowess as a pass catcher still gives him another path to providing fantasy value if he doesn't earn double-digit carries again Sunday.

Jones (calf) traveled with the Packers to Houston and is considered a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Texans, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette previously indicated that the Packers weren't expected to push the running back, whose MRI revealed what's being described as a very mild calf strain. Though Pelissero notes that Jones wants to play, he adds that "Green Bay's medical staff is always cautious" and if the team's top rusher isn't 100 percent, he won't go Sunday. In that scenario, Jamaal Williams and AJ Dillon would be in line for increased roles, with Dexter Williams in reserve. Final confirmation of Jones' Week 7 status will arrive upon the release of the Packers' inactives in advance of Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff.

Wilson (calf) is expected to play Sunday against the Patriots, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

The 24-year-old received the questionable tag after practicing as a limited participant all week, but he's expected to be available for Sunday's contest in New England. Wilson should see some backfield work with Jerick McKinnon and JaMycal Hasty, as Raheem Mostert (ankle) moved to injured reserve.

Williams is expected to handle an increased workload Sunday against the Texans following news that Aaron Jones (calf) likely will be inactive, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.

Williams has worked in a change-of-pace role this year behind Jones, and he's rushed 33 times for 142 yards (4.3 YPC) and caught 13 of 14 targets for 119 yards. His average of 10.5 touches per game is bound to rise if Jones is indeed sidelined, although rookie second-round pick AJ Dillon likely will share the backfield with Williams. There's plenty of room for both to be productive, however, as the Texans have allowed 199 yards from scrimmage per game and eight total touchdowns to opposing running backs this season.

Although Jones relayed Friday that he was confident he'd play Sunday, this news was somewhat expected considering the soft-tissue injury surfaced during Thursday's practice. The official status will be handed down when the Packers release inactives about 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. It's an appealing matchup for any backfield, as the Texans have allowed a league-high 177.5 rushing yards per game this year. Jamaal Williams figures to be the lead back Sunday, though rookie second-round pick AJ Dillon could command a handful of touches as well.

The Jaguars activated Ozigbo (hamstring) from injured reserve Saturday.

Ozigbo was placed on IR before the season began, but he's back to full health after two weeks of practice. An undrafted rookie in 2019, Ozigbo totaled 50 yards from scrimmage on 12 touches during his first year in the league, and he could have increased duties this season. Rookie James Robinson has carved out a role as the lead back for the Jaguars, averaging 18 touches per game, but with Chris Thompson on the reserve/COVID-19 list, Ozigbo could be utilized right away. However, Dare Ogunbowale's pass-catching acumen could make him a better fit to replace Thompson.

Mostert (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

This was always going to be the likely designation for the speedy running back as reports earlier in the week insinuated an IR stint was on the horizon. Jerick McKinnon and JaMycal Hasty were a factor following Mostert's injury in Week 6, but it remains to be seen if a backfield-by-committee will be in order Sunday, or if McKinnon will take over as the lead back similar to what we saw earlier this season. Perhaps complicating matters further is the status of Jeff Wilson (calf), who remains questionable for the matchup against the Patriots, though the fact that no practice squad running backs have been called up certainly seems to be a positive step in regard to Wilson's status. In any case, Mostert will be eligible to return off injured reserve in Week 10 against the Saints, though it's entirely possible given Mostert's injury troubles this year that the 49ers could simply choose to activate their star running back after the Week 11 bye.

Clement rushed twice for nine yards and caught his lone target for 12 yards in Thursday's 22-21 win over the Giants.

Clement saw just 18 snaps on offense even with Miles Sanders inactive due to a knee injury. Boston Scott worked as the lead back in the win, playing 56 total snaps on offense. It doesn't look like Clement will see much action unless both Sanders and Scott are forced to miss time.

McKinnon is expected to make his third start of the season Sunday against the Patriots, Can Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

McKinnon played 62 and 92 percent of snaps in his previous two starts, averaging 14 carries, six targets, 87 total yards and one touchdown per game. However, he managed only 3.3 yards per carry, and the 49ers mostly leaned on JaMycal Hasty after top back Raheem Mostert (ankle) suffered another injury during last week's 24-16 win over the Rams. There's no doubt McKinnon offers upside, but it isn't clear he'll have the same every-down role that made him so valuable the first time Mostert missed games. There's also some chance Jeff Wilson (calf) is available, considering he's listed as questionable after missing last week's contest.
