  • Matt Breida RB | SF

Dolphins' Matt Breida: Draws questionable tag

Breida (hamstring) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com reports.

Breida's hamstring injury kept him from facing the Cardinals last weekend, but it seems like he has at least a fair shot to return versus Los Angeles. The former 49er has worked as the No. 2 back in Miami for most of the season, and he boasts a similar skill set to Myles Gaskin (knee), who was a three-down starter before suffering an MCL sprain. As such, it's possible that Breida could start for the Dolphins if he can prove his full health, but this backfield could also be one of the most cluttered units in the league. Jordan Howard has proven effective as a short-yardage specialist, undrafted rookie Salvon Ahmed flashed in limited attempts Week 9, and recent trade acquisition DeAndre Washington should be available to make his team debut. Plus, third-round rookie Lynn Bowden recently came off the reserve/COVID-19 list, and Patrick Laird is always a candidate for limited change-of-pace work.

  • Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Officially out for Week 10

McCaffrey (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.

McCaffrey didn't practice at all this week and never had a real shot at playing in Sunday's game. However, a second opinion brought some positive feedback on his AC joint injury, with the doctor reportedly suggesting McCaffrey could be ready to play as soon as Week 11 against the Lions. It remains to be seen if that actually happens, but we do know Mike Davis will handle the lead backfield role this coming Sunday.

  • Miles Sanders RB | DAL

Eagles' Miles Sanders: All set for Sunday

Sanders confirmed Friday that he's healthy, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. "I feel good. I feel normal. I'm ready to get back and stack these wins up."

Coming out of a bye week after missing two straight games, Sanders was a limited practice participant Wednesday before upgrading to full for Thursday's session. He should quickly return to his normal workload, which entailed 15.5 carries and 5.8 targets per game Weeks 2 through 5, with a snap share of 77 percent or higher in each contest. Boston Scott did a nice job filling in for the Eagles, but his usage has always been limited when Sanders has been healthy, dating back to the second half of last season. The Eagles have a road game against the Giants this weekend.

  • Devine Ozigbo RB | DET

Jaguars' Devine Ozigbo: Ruled out again

Ozigbo (hamstring) is ruled out for Sunday's game in Green Bay, John Shipley of SI.com reports.

Ozigbo will miss his eighth game of the season due to his lingering hamstring injury. Count on Chris Thompson and Dare Ogunbowale to once again operate behind James Robinson in Jacksonville's backfield.

  • Titans' Jeremy McNichols: Gets work in blowout

McNichols carried the ball three times for 26 yards in Week 10 against the Colts. He added one reception for eight yards.

McNichols didn't record a touch until the fourth quarter, when he worked as the primary back with the Titans down 34-17. He was productive with his limited opportunity, ripping off a run of 16 yards to get Tennessee into Colts territory. Despite the limited work, McNichols logged 17 offensive snaps, second in the team's backfield behind Derrick Henry.

  • D'Onta Foreman RB | CLE

Titans' D'Onta Foreman: Finds end zone against Colts

Foreman rushed seven times for 18 yards in Week 10 against the Colts. He added one reception for five yards and a touchdown.

Foreman mixed in for snaps in place of Derrick Henry on the team's first offensive possession and was left wide open on a rollout by Ryan Tannehill to tally his score. His next touch was late in the third quarter, and six of his seven carries came with under three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Even with the garbage-time work, Jeremy McNichols saw more of the field, logging 17 offensive snaps in comparison to Foreman's nine.

  • Nick Chubb RB | HOU

Browns' Nick Chubb: Participates in all drills

Chubb (knee) executed several individual drills during Thursday's practice, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

The news that Chubb shed the brace on his right knee was encouraging, and the running back looked good while participating in individuals, which includied catching passes, running in short bursts, and making cuts. The quick cut ability is generally a good indicator of a back's readiness for game action. The potential return of right guard Wyatt Teller (calf), whom ProFootball Focus rates with a league-high 93.9 rushing grade, is another encouraging sign for Chubb. The Browns average 5.7 yards per carry behind right guard this season -- 7.2 over the first four games before Teller was injured. Head coach Kevin Stefanski is hopeful Chubb will play Week 10 against the Texans' 32nd-ranked rushing defense (159.5 YPG).

  • Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Another disappointing effort in win

Taylor rushed seven times for 12 yards and brought in both his targets for 25 yards in the Colts' 34-17 win over the Titans on Thursday night.

Taylor once again struggled to get anything going on the ground, and he notably checked in third in carries behind Nyheim Hines (12) and Jordan Wilkins (eight). The rookie committed a fumble that was returned for a touchdown in the Week 9 loss to the Ravens, so his continued diminished role Thursday may be partly attributable to that miscue. Taylor has now logged single-digit carries in back-to-back games for the first time as a pro, leaving his fantasy prospects mixed ahead of a Week 11 interconference matchup against the Packers on Sunday, Nov. 22.

  • Colts' Nyheim Hines: Shines as lead back in win

Hines rushed 12 times for 70 yards and a touchdown and brought in five of six targets for 45 yards and another score in the Colts' 34-17 win over the Titans on Thursday night.

Hines outpaced backfield mates Jordan Wilkins and Jonathan Taylor by four and five carries, respectively, and he was easily the most efficient of the trio while gaining 5.8 yards per rush. The third-year pro's number of rushing touches represented a season high, and he now has three receiving touchdowns overall in the last three games courtesy of his 13-yard scoring grab in the second quarter Thursday. Hines' strong night notwithstanding, it's difficult to pin down coach Frank Reich's running back usage from week to week, leaving the speedy back with nebulous fantasy prospects going into a Week 11 interconference showdown against the Packers on Sunday, Nov. 22.

  • Derrick Henry RB | BAL

Titans' Derrick Henry: Eclipses 100-yard mark in loss

Henry rushed 19 times for 103 yards and brought in one of two targets for six yards in the Titans' 34-17 loss to the Colts on Thursday night.

Henry's numbers were about the only bright spot for the Titans on a forgettable night overall, with the star running back posting his fifth 100-yard effort of the campaign. Henry appeared to have his shoulder lightly examined on the sideline at one point in the second half, but any time he missed appeared to simply be due to rest purposes. The Pro Bowl running back has now averaged over 5.0 yards per carry against the Colts' normally stingy defense the last three times he's faced Indianapolis dating back to last season, and he'll look for similar success against a Ravens team he trampled for 195 yards in January's AFC Divisional Round Game when the Titans take on Baltimore in a Week 11 showdown on Sunday, Nov. 22.
