Ollie Gordon II RB | MIA
Dolphins' Ollie Gordon: Limited in practice Wednesday
Gordon (ankle) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Gordon is already handling limited reps after having been forced out of Miami's loss to Baltimore on Thursday due to an ankle injury. The rookie running back is reportedly considered day-to-day, so it wouldn't be out of the question for him to gain clearance in time for Sunday's game against the Bills. Per Furones, he said Wednesday that his ankle is "OK." If Gordon isn't able to play Week 10, however, Jaylen Wright will project to handle No. 2 backfield duties behind De'Von Achane.

Trey Benson RB | ARI
Cardinals' Trey Benson: Not practicing Wednesday
Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon said Wednesday that Benson (knee) is "doing well" but isn't ready to practice, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.
Benson is eligible to return from injured reserve for Sunday's game at Seattle, but it doesn't sound likely without a practice appearance at the start of the week. He's working his way back from arthroscopic surgery on a meniscus injury, with reports at the time (five weeks ago) suggesting a timeline of 4-to-6 weeks. Emari Demercado and Bam Knight split backfield work during Monday's 27-17 win over the Cowboys, while Michael Carter was active but didn't play. None of the bunch has shown much of anything that would stop a healthy Benson from getting another look in the lead role if/when everything checks out with his knee.

Bucky Irving RB | TB
Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Still not practicing
Irving (foot/shoulder) didn't practice Wednesday.
Irving thus will continue to sit out drills following the Buccaneers' Week 9 bye, meaning he may be on pace for his fifth consecutive absence due to foot and shoulder issues. He does have two more chances to practice this week, but Friday's injury report may reveal that another DNP is imminent Sunday against the Patriots. Rachaad White is on hand to lead Tampa Bay's backfield if Iriving requires more time to recover.

Kyle Monangai RB | CHI
Bears' Kyle Monangai: Tending to ankle issue
Monangai was limited at practice Wednesday due to an ankle injury.
Monangai filled in for an absent D'Andre Swift (groin) this past Sunday in Cincinnati and rolled a leaky Bengals defense to the tune of 198 yards from scrimmage on 29 touches. He's now dealing with a health concern of his own, and both Monangai and Swift operated with a cap on their reps to begin Week 10 prep. The situation bears watching as the week continues to see who among the duo will be available Sunday versus the Giants.

D'Andre Swift RB | CHI
Bears' D'Andre Swift: Back to limited practice
Swift (groin) was limited in practice Wednesday.
One week removed from not practicing at all before sitting out this past Sunday at Cincinnati due to a lingering groin injury, Swift is back on the field and joined by No. 2 RB Kyle Monangai, who also was limited due to an ankle issue. Monangai dominated a porous Bengals defense Week 9, racking up 198 yards from scrimmage on 29 touches. With their top two backfield options banged up, the situation at the position is up in the air as the Bears prepare to face the Giants on Sunday.

Nick Chubb RB | HOU
Texans' Nick Chubb: Not practicing Wednesday
Chubb (undisclosed) wasn't spotted at practice Wednesday, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports.
The Texans' upcoming injury report will clarify what caused Chubb's absence from the session, but with regard to the running back's status for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, coach DeMeco Ryans said "we'll see as the week goes on." If Chubb is limited or out versus Jacksonville, Woody Marks would be in line for added touches, with Dameon Pierce, Dare Ogunbowale and British Brooks also in Houston's Week 10 backfield mix.

Audric Estime RB | NO
Saints' Audric Estime: Joins active roster
The Saints signed Estime to their active roster Wednesday, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
The second-year running back from Notre Dame signed with the Saints' practice squad in late October and has now earned a spot on the active roster. Estime appeared in 13 regular-season games for the Broncos in 2024, rushing 76 times for 310 yards and two touchdowns. He's likely to have a depth role in the Saints' backfield, playing behind Alvin Kamara and Devin Neal.

Rico Dowdle RB | PIT
Panthers' Rico Dowdle: Held out of practice Wednesday
Dowdle (quadriceps) is not practicing Wednesday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Dowdle was the engine of Carolina's offense during the team's upset Week 9 win over Green Bay, in which he rushed 25 times for 130 yards and two scores while catching two of three targets for 11 yards. He clearly played through pain versus the Packers, however, so it's not a complete surprise to see Dowdle now a non-participant at practice. He'll have two more chances to officially get back on the practice field before the Panthers decide whether to assign Dowdle an injury designation for Sunday's matchup against the Saints.
-
Rhamondre Stevenson RB | NE
Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Not slated to practice Wednesday
Stevenson (toe) won't practice Wednesday, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.
Stevenson, who was inactive for the Patriots' Week 9 win over the Falcons, has two more chances to practice before injury designations are assigned for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. In his absence versus Atlanta, TreVeyon Henderson started and logged a 75 percent snap share, en route to carrying 14 times and being targeted six times, while Terrell Jennings was on the field for 25 percent of the team's snaps on offense, rushing 11 times and recording one target.
-
James Cook RB | BUF
Bills' James Cook: Not practicing Wednesday
Cook (ankle/foot) won't practice Wednesday, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
Per Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com, coach Sean McDermott noted the injury that sidelined Cook Wednesday popped up during this past Sunday's win over the Chiefs, while adding that the running back has been sore the last couple days. Cook thus has two more chances to practice ahead of this weekend's game against the Dolphins, but if he's limited or out in Week 10, added snaps would be available for Ty Johnson and Ray Davis.
