Penny (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's game at Seattle, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Penny has been hindered by a left calf injury all season, containing him to one appearance Week 1. Since then, he's been sidelined and will miss a third consecutive contest this weekend. Chris Carson is Seattle's unquestioned lead back, and with Penny out Travis Homer and Alex Collins again will handle any RB reps that linger.

Phillips (illness) won't play in Sunday's game against Buffalo.

Phillips is dealing with a non-COVID illness, which kept him out of practice all week. With a quartet of veterans above him in Houston's backfield depth chart, Phillips' absence is unlikely to have much of an impact on Houston's game plan against the heavily favored Bills.

Swift (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Chicago.

Swift is yet again entering the weekend with a fog hanging over his availability, but he still suited up in each of the Lions' first three games of the season. In those contests, he racked up 52 touches for 289 yards from scrimmage and two TDs, while backup Jamaal Williams regularly was involved as well, turning 41 touches into 214 total yards and two scores himself.

Perine (illness) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.

Perine's non-COVID-19 illness kept him sidelined at practice Thursday, but he returned to full participation Friday. While he's likely healthy enough to play, the second-year running back has yet to be active on game day because he occupies the fourth spot on the Jets' backfield depth chart. Perhaps the coaching staff will opt to mix things up against Tennessee and give Perine a shot. Things can't get any worse offensively with the Jets coming off a shutout loss and averaging under a touchdown per game.

Taylor (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Dolphins after practicing in a limited fashion this past week.

The Colts already have ruled out five players for the contest, with Taylor one of four players listed by the team as questionable. Given that he practiced all week, albeit as a limited participant, we suspect that he's trending toward Week 4 availability, but the running back's status nonetheless should be monitored as Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff approaches. If Taylor ends up limited or out this weekend, more touches would be available for Nyheim Hines, with Marlon Mack and/or Jordan Wilkins also candidates for added snaps.

Dillon (back) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game versus the Steelers, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.

Dillon and Aaron Jones (ankle) had their practice reps capped this week, but both backs will be available to Green Bay on Sunday. Through three games, Dillon has only had modest involvement in the Packers offense, topping out at a 30-percent offensive snap share and eight touches in a given week.

Mitchell (shoulder) is wearing a non-contact jersey at Friday's practice, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

This is his third consecutive day in the jersey and likely the third straight day he'll be listed as a limited practice participant. Mitchell's availability for Sunday against Seattle remains uncertain, with a 'questionable' designation and game-time decision looking like a possibility at this point. It remains to be seen how the Niners list Mitchell on their final injury report Friday afternoon.

Jones (ankle) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game against the Steelers, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.

Both Jones and backup running back AJ Dillon (back) had their practice reps capped to an extent this week, but the pair will be available Sunday. Throwing out the season-opening loss to the Saints when he had seven touches, Jones has been busy the past two games, totaling 44 touches for 211 yards from scrimmage and five TDs.

Barkley (knee) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at Atlanta, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.

The Giants continue to limit Barkley's practice reps in response to last year's ACL injury. He played more than 80 percent of offensive snaps in Weeks 2 and 3, though the Giants haven't shown much of a running game so far. They may need it Sunday, with starting wideouts Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton both sidelined by hamstring injuries.

Cook (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Cleveland, with Vikings coach Mike Zimmer noting Friday that the running back "looked pretty good" in the team's final practice of the week, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Cook didn't quite show enough to avoid a game designation, but it does seems like he's trending toward a return after practicing Wednesday through Friday, albeit in a limited capacity. If he does end up a game-time decision, fantasy managers will at least have plenty of alternatives with the Vikings and Browns scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Alexander Mattison filled in for Cook last week and had 171 total yards on a 68-percent snap share in the 30-17 win over Seattle.
