Gibson (shin) is now listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Kansas City, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.

The final injury report apparently wasn't quite final, with the team updating it after about 20 minutes to list Gibson as questionable rather than with no designation. He's nonetheless expected to continue playing through a shin fracture, just as he did the past two weeks when listed as questionable. Still, cautious fantasy managers should check back in to be safe when Washington releases its inactive list at 11:30 a.m. ET this Sunday.

Mattison (shoulder) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Panthers, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.

Dalvin Cook (ankle) also has been cleared, so Mattison likely will be relegated to a backup role. Mattison has eclipsed 100 rushing yards in both spot starts when Cook has sat out this season. Given Mattison's effectiveness and Cook's fragile health, Minnesota may opt to give Mattison a more significant share of the workload than he previously had been receiving with both running backs healthy.

Gibson (shin) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Kansas City, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.

He'll continue playing through a hairline fracture, having said himself that the injury isn't really bothering him, though it has limited his practice participation in recent weeks. Gibson took 34 carries for 123 yards and three touchdowns over his past two games, and he could be the clear centerpiece of Washington's offense come Sunday if WR Terry McLaurin (Q/hamstring) is absent or limited. The Chiefs rank bottom five in most efficiency metrics for both pass defense and run defense.

Williams (hip/illness) returned to practice Friday, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports.

A hip injury has kept Williams as a limited participant the past two weeks, while an illness caused him to miss Thursday's practice entirely. His return to the field Friday suggests he'll play through the hip injury again this Sunday against the Bengals, working in tandem with D'Andre Swift in the Detroit backfield.

McCaffrey (hamstring) isn't participating at the start of Friday's practice and thus appears unlikely to play in Sunday's game against the Vikings, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.

He was a limited participant all last week and again this Wednesday, before downgrading to DNP on Thursday and possibly now Friday. It points to a likely third straight absence for the star running back, though coach Matt Rhule said Wednesday that McCaffrey appeared 50/50 for a return this week. Joe Person of The Athletic did see McCaffrey getting off a golf cart and heading to an indoor field, which suggests he's at least doing some form of stretching/conditioning/running. If he misses another game, Chuba Hubbard again will fill in as the lead runner.

Chubb (calf) won't play Sunday against the Cardinals, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Chubb thus will target a potential return to action next Thursday when the Browns take on the Broncos. Assuming he's active, Kareem Hunt (wrist/knee) -- who is listed as questionable -- should be in line for a big workload Sunday, while Demetric Felton and D'Ernest Johnson work in complementary roles Week 6.

Chubb (calf) was absent from the portion of Friday's practice that was open to the media, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Chubb has yet to practice this week while dealing with the calf issue, and it appears he won't be participating again Friday. Kareem Hunt (wrist) also is banged up but was on the field for Friday's session. It remains to be seen if the injury will affect Chubb's availability for Sunday's matchup with the Cardinals.

Mixon (ankle) is participating at practice Friday, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Mixon sat out Thursday's practice to help manage his ankle issue after working as a limited participant Wednesday, and he's returned to the field for Friday's session. The 25-year-old played only 28 percent of the offensive snaps during last week's loss to the Packers, while Samaje Perine -- who had 15 touches for 83 yards and a touchdown -- tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday. Mixon appears to be trending in the right direction for Sunday's game at Detroit, while rookie Chris Evans is currently the only fully healthy tailback on the Bengals' active roster.

Sanders carried nine times for 56 yards and secured two of four targets for 10 yards in the Eagles' 28-22 loss to the Buccaneers on Thursday night.

Sanders once again logged a relatively modest amount of touches, failing to see double-digit carries for the third time in the last four games. The 24-year-old did record multiple receptions for the fifth time in six games as well, but as long as his usage remains as capped as it has, Sanders' fantasy managers will be left with significantly less return than they expected for the draft capital that was typically invested in him. The third-year back will shoot for better production in a Week 7 road battle against the Raiders a week from Sunday.

Jacobs didn't practice Thursday due to an illness, Adam Hill of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Jacobs just can't avoid the injury report this season. While he avoided it entirely Wednesday, he made yet another appearance Thursday, only this time for non-injury reasons. It's unclear whether the illness is related to COVID-19, but his status should be watched closely to get a sense of his potential to play Sunday at Denver. If Jacobs sits out for the third time this season, Peyton Barber likely would got most of the work on early downs, with Kenyan Drake and Jalen Richard serving as change-of-pace options out of the Raiders backfield.
