Nate McCrary RB | GB
Nate McCrary: Joins Baltimore's practice squad
The Ravens signed McCrary to their practice squad Tuesday.
McCrary had a strong preseason for the Ravens, rushing 42 times for 163 yards and a touchdown, but he was scooped up by the Broncos' practice squad after failing to make Baltimore's initial 53-man roster. He didn't appear in any games for the Broncos this season and elected to return to Baltimore instead of staying in Denver. The Ravens continue to cycle through running backs after losing J.K. Dobbins (knee) and Gus Edwards (knee) for the season. They currently have Ty'Son Williams, Latavius Murray and Devonta Freeman on their active roster, and McCrary now joins Le'Veon Bell on the practice squad.

Marlon Mack RB | ARI
Colts' Marlon Mack: Available on trade market
Mack and the Colts have mutually agreed to seek a trade, resulting in him being inactive for Sunday's 25-16 loss to the Titans, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Mack entered the 2021 campaign at full health after going down with a season-ending torn Achilles' tendon in Week 1 of 2020, but he played just 12 total snaps through the Colts' first two contests before donning street clothes in Tennessee. With second-year standout Jonathan Taylor carrying the load on the ground and Nyheim Hines locked in as the Colts' top pass-catching option out of the backfield, Mack -- who doesn't contribute on special teams -- was left without much of a role in Indianapolis. According to Pelissero, no Mack trade is imminent at the moment, so the 25-year-old could remain inactive for a few more games until a suitor for his services emerges. Given that he's now healthy, signed to a cost-effective expiring deal and has prior experience in a lead role, Mack could be an appealing target for a team whose backfield depth has been tested early on this season.

Salvon Ahmed RB | CHI
Dolphins' Salvon Ahmed: No opportunities versus Raiders
Ahmed did not handle a carry during Sunday's 31-28 overtime loss to the Raiders.
Ahmed was also not targeted by Jacoby Brissett. After leading the Dolphins with six carries versus Buffalo in Week 2, in addition to drawing three targets, all the backfield work was handled by Myles Gaskin (13 rushes), Malcolm Brown (seven) and Brissett (seven) in Las Vegas. Barring a situation where either Gaskin or Brown misses time, Ahmed will be difficult to rely on for fantasy purposes.

Gary Brightwell RB | CIN
Giants' Gary Brightwell: Has one carry
Brightwell had one carry for four yards Sunday against the Falcons.
With Devontae Booker a healthy scratch, it appears Brightwell is Saquon Barkley's backup for the time being. Barkley seems healthy enough to carry a full workload, however.
-
Chase Edmonds RB | WAS
Cardinals' Chase Edmonds: Another 75-yard outing
Edmonds notched 11 carries for 26 yards and gathered in seven of eight passes for 49 yards during Sunday's 31-19 win at Jacksonville.
Edmonds continued to outpace James Conner in offensive snaps (44 versus 25) and touches (18 to 12) Sunday. However, Conner was the first of the pair to reach the end zone this season, taking in two carries from inside the five-yard line. It's become clear through three games that Edmonds is the primary chain mover, while Conner gets more usage in the red zone, with the latter already up to eight such rushes and the former with five total touches inside the 20-yard line. Edmonds appears to be the more reliable option on a weekly basis due to his dual-threat ability, but there will be weeks in which Conner is more productive from a fantasy perspective.

Tony Pollard RB | TEN
Cowboys' Tony Pollard: Gets 12 touches
Pollard rushed 11 times for 60 yards in Monday night's 41-21 win over the Eagles. He also caught his lone target for five yards.
Pollard, fresh off a 140-yard outburst in Week 2, was a nice complement to starter Ezekiel Elliott in the first half, when the Cowboys' offense line dominated up front. Although Elliott had two rushing touchdowns by halftime, Pollard still ran 10 times for 56 yards. Despite that production and a comfortable lead, however, he wasn't used much in the second half, capping his overall output. While Elliott's presence limits Pollard's overall upside, he's proven to be a valuable contributor to Dallas' offense the past couple games, giving him decent utility ahead of Week 4's matchup versus the Panthers.

Miles Sanders RB | DAL
Eagles' Miles Sanders: Hardly used Monday
Sanders rushed just twice for 27 yards and caught three of four targets for 28 yards in Monday night's 41-21 loss to the Cowboys.
Sanders fell victim to the game flow Monday, as the Eagles' offense struggled to stay on the field in the first half and was forced to play catch-up by passing often in the second. In fact, the tailback's first carry didn't come until midway into the second quarter. Sanders went for 24 yards on that attempt, but he rather frustratingly only garnered one more carry for the remainder of the contest. With Philadelphia's running backs totaling just three carries overall, it's not like another RB was getting the work, and Sanders at least salvaged a little value in the passing game, but his Week 3 outing nonetheless fell well short of expectations. Without a touchdown through his first three games under coach Nick Sirianni, Sanders will strive to finally find paydirt while demanding a much larger workload this Sunday versus Kansas City.

Ezekiel Elliott RB | LAC
Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Scores twice versus Eagles
Elliott rushed 17 times for 95 yards and two touchdowns in Monday night's 41-21 win over the Eagles. He also caught all three of his targets for 21 yards.
Elliott enjoyed his best game of the young season, starting Monday's contest by converting a one-yard plunge into the end zone on the Cowboys' first drive. He then had a touchdown catch reversed and marked inches short of the goal line a couple series afterward, but Elliott would get that second score back by powering in on a three-yard rush in the second quarter. With Dallas' offensive line dominating up front, Elliott was consistently able to move the sticks, building on last week's improvement from his quiet season opener. With momentum on his side, Elliott will now turn his attention toward a Week 4 matchup against the Panthers' top-ranked defense.
-
Jake Funk RB | JAC
Rams' Jake Funk: Handles single carry in win
Funk rushed once for six yards and played 14 offensive snaps during Sunday's 34-24 win over Tampa Bay.
The rookie's only carry was the first rush of the game for the Rams, and then Funk gave way to Sony Michel. Michel took 20 totes for 67 yards, and while those numbers don't jump off the stat sheet, the Buccaneers boast a formidable run defense. With Darrell Henderson (ribs) potentially back in the mix for Week 4, and Michel clearly ahead of Funk in the backfield pecking order, there's not a lot of immediate fantasy upside for the first year rusher out of Maryland.

Boston Scott RB | PIT
Eagles' Boston Scott: Suiting up Monday
Scott (illness) is listed as active Monday at Dallas.
Scott didn't practice Friday or Saturday due to an illness, but he's well enough to be available for this Week 3 divisional matchup. He's played exclusively on special teams this season, turning 19 snaps into one tackle on kick coverage. Scott may need an injury to one of Miles Sanders or rookie fifth-rounder Kenneth Gainwell in order to get involved on offense.
