  • Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Scores twice versus Eagles

Elliott rushed 17 times for 95 yards and two touchdowns in Monday night's 41-21 win over the Eagles. He also caught all three of his targets for 21 yards.

Elliott enjoyed his best game of the young season, starting Monday's contest by converting a one-yard plunge into the end zone on the Cowboys' first drive. He then had a touchdown catch reversed and marked inches short of the goal line a couple series afterward, but Elliott would get that second score back by powering in on a three-yard rush in the second quarter. With Dallas' offensive line dominating up front, Elliott was consistently able to move the sticks, building on last week's improvement from his quiet season opener. With momentum on his side, Elliott will now turn his attention toward a Week 4 matchup against the Panthers' top-ranked defense.

  • Jake Funk RB | JAC

Rams' Jake Funk: Handles single carry in win

Funk rushed once for six yards and played 14 offensive snaps during Sunday's 34-24 win over Tampa Bay.

The rookie's only carry was the first rush of the game for the Rams, and then Funk gave way to Sony Michel. Michel took 20 totes for 67 yards, and while those numbers don't jump off the stat sheet, the Buccaneers boast a formidable run defense. With Darrell Henderson (ribs) potentially back in the mix for Week 4, and Michel clearly ahead of Funk in the backfield pecking order, there's not a lot of immediate fantasy upside for the first year rusher out of Maryland.

  • Boston Scott RB | PIT

Eagles' Boston Scott: Suiting up Monday

Scott (illness) is listed as active Monday at Dallas.

Scott didn't practice Friday or Saturday due to an illness, but he's well enough to be available for this Week 3 divisional matchup. He's played exclusively on special teams this season, turning 19 snaps into one tackle on kick coverage. Scott may need an injury to one of Miles Sanders or rookie fifth-rounder Kenneth Gainwell in order to get involved on offense.

  • 49ers' Elijah Mitchell: Looking to practice this week

Coach Kyle Shanahan is hopeful Mitchell (shoulder) takes part in practice this week, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.

In particular, Shanahan told Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle that he's "hoping for better signs" that Mitchell is able to suit up Week 4 against the Seahawks after sitting out this past Sunday versus the Packers with what he considered "worse than a stinger" in the running back's right shoulder. With Mitchell sidelined and Raheem Mostert (knee) and JaMycal Hasty (ankle) on IR, Trey Sermon (59 percent of offensive snaps) and Kyle Juszczyk (69 percent) handled all the running back work, while Trenton Cannon and Kerryon Johnson saw action on special teams. Assuming Mitchell is able to return Sunday, it'll be interesting to see how the 49ers backfield will break down.

  • 49ers' Jacques Patrick: Active, but doesn't see field

Patrick did not record a snap of any kind in Sunday's 30-28 loss to the Packers.

The 49ers signed Patrick off of the Bengals' practice squad prior to Sunday's contest, and even dressed the running back for the Sunday Night Football matchup. Despite his active status, head coach Kyle Shanahan left the 24-year-old on the sidelines, opting to only use starter Trey Sermon and virtually every other position at tail back (fullback, wide receiver and tight end) before turning to his unproven backups. Even if the 49ers' backfield health doesn't improve prior to next Sunday's tilt against the Seahawks, fantasy managers should not be relying on Patrick.

  • J.J. Taylor RB | HOU

Patriots' J.J. Taylor: One carry in Week 3

Taylor was on the field for 10 of a possible 72 snaps on offense in Sunday's 28-13 loss to the Saints, en route to carrying once for two yards and catching both of his targets for three yards.

With James White having suffered a hip injury that's expected to cost him some time, Taylor's profile in the Patriots offense could expand in the coming weeks. It's worth noting that in Week 3, at least, it was Brandon Bolden (33 snaps) -- normally a core special teamer -- who handled the bulk of the team's change-of-pace duties after White (six snaps) exited Sunday's contest. That said, Taylor could be worth a speculative add in deeper PPR formats to see if the team's future game plans are designed to get the ball in his hands more often in White's anticipated absence.

  • Patriots' Brandon Bolden: Logs 33 snaps Sunday

Bolden logged 33 of a possible 72 snaps on offense in Sunday's 28-13 loss to the Saints, en route to carrying three times for minus-1 yard and catching three of his four targets for 23 yards, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

Bolden, who previously had been operating primarily as a core special teamer, saw his profile in the Patriots offense expand Sunday once James White (six snaps) left the game with a hip injury that's expected to cost him some time. It remains to be seen if Bolden continues to handle the bulk of the team's change-of-pace duties in the event that White is sidelined, with J.J. Taylor (10 snaps Week 3) also an option in that regard, but it's a situation worth monitoring for those looking to add RB depth in deeper PPR formats.

  • Kenyan Drake RB | GB

Raiders' Kenyan Drake: Plays second fiddle to Barber

Drake had eight carries for 24 yards and caught three of six targets for 33 yards during Sunday's 31-28 overtime win over the Dolphins.

Drake played 71 percent of the offensive snaps in the absence of Josh Jacobs (ankle) in Week 2, but it was Peyton Barber who dominated the backfield work against Miami on Sunday with 26 touches for 142 yards and a touchdown with Jacobs missing his second straight game. Drake and Barber split things pretty evenly during the first half with six and eight carries, respectively, but Drake had only four touches after halftime. It appears Drake's role as a pass-catching back won't change much week-to-week, regardless of whether or not Jacobs misses any more time.

  • AJ Dillon RB | CAR

Packers' AJ Dillon: Role remains minimal

Dillon recorded six carries for 18 yards and two receptions for eight yards in Sunday's 30-28 victory over the 49ers.

Dillon received a season-high eight touches in Sunday's contest, but for the third time in as many games he put up only 26 yards from scrimmage. He's going to have a tough time getting on track Week 4, as the Packers will face a Steelers defense that has been stingy on opposing running backs. However, Dillon is worth hanging onto in most formats, as he would presumably assume most or all of Aaron Jones' workload should Green Bay's starting running back be unavailable for any reason.

  • Mike Boone RB | MIA

Broncos' Mike Boone: May start to practice this week

Coach Vic Fangio said Monday that Boone (quadriceps) may start to practice this week, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

Boone was carried onto Denver's initial 53-man roster after being placed on IR, so he is eligible to return this week. If healthy, the 26-year-old running back will likely overtake Damarea Crockett, who has been promoted to the active roster ahead of each game this season, as the Broncos' third back behind Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon.
