  • Saquon Barkley RB | PHI

Giants' Saquon Barkley: May not face lengthy absence

Barkley (ankle) is scheduled for further testing Monday, with the Giants optimistic he'll only be out for a couple weeks, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports

Barkley was carted off to the locker room after rolling his left ankle on a defender's foot in the first half of Sunday's 44-20 loss to the Cowboys. He was ruled out for the rest of the game shortly thereafter, and reporters later spotted him with crutches and a walking boot after the contest. However, while the initial signs weren't great, multiple reports suggest Barkley escaped with a low-ankle sprain. Depending on how Monday's testing goes, Barkley may even avoid landing on injured reserve and have a shot to return within the next few weeks. In the short term, Devontae Booker and Gary Brightwell figure to replace Barkley for Week 6 against the Rams, at the very least.

  • Browns' Demetric Felton: Low impact in loss

Felton played just three snaps on offense and returned two punts for 17 yards in Sunday's 47-42 loss to the Chargers.

Felton did not have a catch or target for the first time since Week 1. The rookie had multiple targets and catches the three games prior to Sunday, but he was barely on the field in a game that seemed like it should have been well-suited to his dynamic offensive skillset. Felton also did not return any kickoffs; that chore went to fellow rookie Anthony Schwartz, who returned five kickoffs for 109 yards.

  • Chiefs' Darrel Williams: Replaces injured starter

Williams took over for Clyde Edwards-Helaire (knee) in the second half of Sunday's loss to Buffalo, finishing with five carries for 27 yards and three receptions for 18 yards.

Edwards-Helaire went down with an apparent knee injury in the second half of Sunday's contest, and while he was eventually able to limp off the field, the running back was clearly in pain. We will have to wait for an update on the Chiefs' starting tailback's knee, but Williams should take over if CEH is forced to miss any time. The 26-year-old would receive a huge boost in value if he is asked to start for this potent offense, so do not hesitate on pulling the trigger on the waiver wire in the event he does start against Washington on Sunday.

  • Zack Moss RB | CIN

Bills' Zack Moss: Leads backfield in touches

Moss ran the ball 11 times for 37 yards while adding three receptions (four targets) for 55 yards in Sunday's 38-20 win over the Chiefs.

The Bills did most of their damage through the air, which explains the light output from their running back duo. Moss did out-touch Devin Singletary 14 to seven, but it is worth noting that the former received a good portion of those carries as the Bills milked the clock while up big in the fourth quarter. It's been a pretty even timeshare between the two Buffalo backs, but Moss has the advantage in terms of touchdowns (three to one) while Singletary has been the more efficient back in terms of production.

  • Titans' Jeremy McNichols: Limited to three touches

McNichols recorded one rush for nine yards in Sunday's win over the Jaguars. He added two receptions for 26 yards.

McNichols lost touches as compared to his workload in Week 4 due to the return of A.J. Brown (hamstring) and Marcus Johnson (undisclosed). Despite that outlier performance, McNichols has totaled five or fewer touches in four of five games this season. As a result, he's the clear backup to Derrick Henry and little more for fantasy purposes. However, that could also change in short order, as Darrynton Evans (knee) has been designated to return from injured reserve and may work behind Henry upon his return.

  • Chiefs' Clyde Edwards-Helaire: Done for night

Edwards-Helaire (knee) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against Buffalo.

Edwards-Helaire's left leg bent back awkwardly on a tackle, and he stayed down after the play, pounding the ground with his fist in frustration. He was carried off to the sideline by teammates, but Edwards-Helaire was later able to limp to the locker room under his own power. Darrel Williams and Jerick McKinnon are the remaining options in the Kansas City backfield, while Edwards-Helaire will finish the night with seven carries for 13 yards and an 11-yard catch on two targets.

  • Ronald Jones RB | DAL

Buccaneers' Ronald Jones: Works as clear backup in win

Jones rushed five times for 21 yards and brought in his only target for 15 yards in the Buccaneers' 45-17 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.

Jones' backfield mate Leonard Fournette once again operated as the clear lead back with a team-high 12 carries, and Jones even saw just one more rush attempt than change-of-pace option Giovani Bernard. The consistently reduced role seems to be one that will stick to Jones as long as Fournette remains healthy, leaving Jones' fantasy value depressed going into the Week 6 Thursday night battle against the Eagles.

  • Tony Pollard RB | TEN

Cowboys' Tony Pollard: Efficient with touches Sunday

Pollard rushed 14 times for 75 yards and brought in all four of his targets for 28 yards in the Cowboys' 44-20 win over the Giants on Sunday. He also committed a fumble, but it was recovered by Dallas.

Pollard was the ideal complement to Ezekiel Elliott's own impressive rushing exploits Sunday, averaging 5.4 yards per carry and playing a solid role in the passing game as well. Elliott has reacquired a hefty, lead-back-worthy role over the last two games with 41 carries during that span, but Pollard's efficiency continues to be something to behold on a weekly basis. The 24-year-old's overall fantasy value will continue to be capped to an extent as long as Elliott is healthy, but Pollard will look to keep drawing solid volume in a Week 6 showdown against the Patriots.

  • Nick Chubb RB | HOU

Browns' Nick Chubb: Huge day against Bolts

Chubb carried the ball 21 times for 161 yards and a touchdown and caught his only target for nine yards in Sunday's 47-42 loss to the Chargers.

With Kareem Hunt continuing to dominate the red-zone touches and scoring twice from inside the 10-yard line Sunday, Chubb took matters into his own hands with a dazzling 52-yard TD run early in the third quarter. The fourth-year back set a new season high in rushing yards while hitting triple digits for the second straight game, giving Chubb plenty of momentum heading into a Week 6 clash with the undefeated Cardinals.

  • James Conner RB | ARI

Cardinals' James Conner: Extends touchdown streak

Conner ran for 29 yards and one touchdown on 10 carries against San Francisco on Sunday.

The Cardinals couldn't get their ground game going Sunday as Kyler Murray produced zero yards on seven attempts and Chase Edmonds (hamstring) finished with just 15 yards on six attempts, so Conner was no less efficient than the rest of the Arizona run game Sunday. He remains locked into a mid-sized role splitting the backfield with Edmonds, and with five rushing touchdowns in the last three weeks, there's reason to believe he'll continue getting the first stab at Arizona's rushing touchdown production. The Cardinals head to Cleveland in Week 6.
