  • Najee Harris RB | LAC

Steelers' Najee Harris: Posts 11 touches in blowout loss

Harris rushed eight times for 23 yards and caught three of five targets for 14 yards in Sunday's 41-10 loss to the Bengals.

Harris was victimized by another poor game script when the Steelers found themselves in a 31-3 hole at halftime. The rookie back has been steadily utilized as a receiver out of the backfield this season -- averaging 4.9 receptions per game heading into this contest -- but he wasn't able to gain traction in either facet of the offensive gameplan against Cincinnati. Harris is still the clear workhorse in Pittsburgh's backfield, so he should resume seeing higher usage rates if the team can simply keep games closer. It will attempt to do that in another important AFC North showdown against the Ravens next Sunday.

  • Boston Scott RB | PIT

Eagles' Boston Scott: Finds end zone

Scott ran for 64 yards and one touchdown on 15 carries while catching two passes for eight yards on three targets against the Giants on Sunday.

The Eagles gave Scott 15 carries to Miles Sanders' nine -- a decision they might regret given that Scott lost a fumble in the the 13-7 loss. Scott is generally a capable player when given the usage and he'll face a weak Jets defense in Week 13, but guessing the workload split between himself, Sanders, Kenneth Gainwell and Jordan Howard (knee) is a perilous task.

  • Joe Mixon RB | HOU

Bengals' Joe Mixon: Continues to dominate

Mixon rushed 28 times for 165 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 41-10 win over the Steelers. He added four receptions on four targets for minus-2 yards.

Mixon continued his recent assault on opposing defenses, scoring multiple touchdowns for the fourth game in a row. The 24-year-old has also seen a huge uptick in usage of late, averaging 144 rushing yards on 29 carries over Cincinnati's last two contests after failing to reach 20 carries over the previous seven. The Bengals' recent commitment to the run has resulted in a two-game win streak following a mid-season lull, so Mixon should continue to see heavy usage heading into a home matchup against another AFC playoff hopeful, the Los Angeles Chargers, next Sunday.

  • Miles Sanders RB | DAL

    Eagles' Miles Sanders: Minimal usage

Sanders ran for 64 yards on nine carries and brought in his only target for no gain against the Giants on Sunday.

Boston Scott saw six more carries than Sanders but generated the same amount of yardage and lost a fumble in the one-score game. One could generously assume the Eagles have some basis for yanking the playing time of their running backs back and forth on a week-to-week basis, but from afar, there's no evident explanation. Scott was a healthy scratch for the Eagles in the first six weeks of the year, but coach Nick Sirianni decided to prioritize him a game after Scott produced 16 yards on six carries and Sanders generated 94 yards on 16 totes. Sanders and the Eagles offense have a great matchup against the Jets in Week 13, and whoever they decide to give the ball in that game will likely do well. Whether it's Sanders, Scott, Kenneth Gainwell, Jordan Howard (knee) or some combination of that group is impossible to prognosticate.

  • Saquon Barkley RB | PHI

Giants' Saquon Barkley: Disappointing season continues

Barkley ran for 40 yards on 13 carries and caught four passes for 13 yards on five targets against the Giants on Sunday.

The matchup against Philadelphia was a somewhat favorable one on paper, but Barkley again couldn't generate much yardage with his usage. It's possible that the ankle he injured this year continues to hold him back, and that's not to even mention the possibility that his surgically-repaired knee might still be working its way back to 100 percent. Whatever the case, Barkley's trademark explosiveness has yet to show up in the box score in 2021. Although he hasn't been able to cash in on favorable matchups this season, Barkley has such a scenario in front of him in the form of a Week 13 matchup against the Dolphins.

  • Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Solid performance in tough matchup

Taylor rushed 16 times for 83 yards and a touchdown and brought in four of five targets for 14 yards in the Colts' 38-31 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.

The Colts went with a pass-heavy approach for a good portion of the game against the Buccaneers' extremely tough run defense, but coach Frank Reich finally unleashed Taylor on the Colts' game-tying drive in the fourth quarter. The second-year back carried the ball eight times on the 10-play march, recording 58 yards, which included a four-yard rushing touchdown. Taylor also continued to enjoy a steady role in the passing game, albeit in not very efficient fashion in terms of yardage Sunday. He'll naturally remain a top play in all formats during a Week 13 home divisional matchup that presents a much more palatable caliber of competition in the form of the Texans.

  • Jaguars' James Robinson: Goes over 100 yards from scrimmage

Robinson turned 17 carries into 86 yards and gathered in three of four targets for 29 yards during Sunday's 21-14 defeat to the Falcons. He also lost a fumble.

Since sitting out Week 9 due to a bruised heel, Robinson has managed to achieve active status in three straight contests, averaging 16.7 touches for 79 yards from scrimmage per game while scoring two rushing TDs. That's more or less in line with his output in seven appearances pre-injury -- 87.9 total yards per game, five scores -- but the second-year back hasn't had a run of 20-plus yards since Week 6. While Robinson may have some practice limitations this week, too, he'll look to keep it going next Sunday when the Jags travel to L.A. to face the Rams' 10th-ranked rush defense.

  • Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Wearing walking boot postgame

McCaffrey rolled his left ankle in Sunday's 33-10 loss to the Dolphins, according to Joe Person of The Athletic, and per Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, he was spotted wearing a walking boot after the game.

McCaffrey injured his ankle in the first half of Sunday's contest and briefly re-entered the game, but he wound up taking his final carry of the day with just over four minutes to go in the second quarter. It was said during the game that he available to return, but head coach Matt Rhule said McCaffrey "just wasn't at the same level," and his booted foot confirms that. The extent of McCaffrey's injury is not yet known, but the Panthers are on bye next week, so he'll have an extra week to recover. Chuba Hubbard will be the next man up if McCaffrey winds up missing any further time.

  • Falcons' Cordarrelle Patterson: Scores twice in return

Patterson (ankle) rushed 16 times for 108 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 21-14 win over Jacksonville. He added two catches for 27 yards on three targets.

Patterson was able to play through the ankle injury that kept him out of last week's game, and he made a major impact in his return. He scored from seven yards out on a nice dive to the pylon late in the first quarter, then doubled Atlanta's lead with a 12-yard touchdown in the second. Patterson topped 100 rushing yards for the first time this season, but he's reached triple digits in scrimmage yards five times to go with nine total touchdowns. His involvement as a pass-catcher should allow Patterson to maintain plenty of fantasy appeal in Week 13 despite a tough matchup against the stout Tampa Bay front.

  • Alvin Kamara RB | NO

    Saints' Alvin Kamara: Practices Sunday

Kamara (knee) took part in the media-access portion of practice Sunday, Mike Triplett of ESPN.com reports.

Sunday's session is unofficial, as the Saints won't release a Week 13 injury report until Monday due to their next game taking place Thursday against the Cowboys. But it's a decent sign that both Kamara and Mark Ingram (knee), who also sat out a Week 12 loss to the Bills, are trending in the right direction. Kamara's presence is particularly notable considering he hadn't practiced since spraining his MCL back in Week 9, missing the Saints' last three games in the process.
