  • James Conner RB | ARI

Cardinals' James Conner: Ready for Week 4

Conner (knee) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game at Carolina, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

After opening Week 4 prep with back-to-back limited sessions due to a knee injury, Conner handled every practice rep Friday, paving the way for him to lead the Cardinals backfield yet again this weekend. He's found the going tough through three games this season, mustering 90 yards and a touchdown on 30 carries and recording 10 catches (on 15 targets) for 73 yards.

  • Falcons' Cordarrelle Patterson: Technically listed as questionable

Patterson (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Browns after returning to practice Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Patterson was held out Wednesday and Thursday, with the Falcons listing it as "resting player/ knee." That suggests his knee injury isn't serious, as does his return to practice Friday in a limited capacity, according to Tori McElhanney of the team's official site, but the Falcons nonetheless are giving him a designation ahead of a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff Sunday. Fantasy managers probably will want to check back after inactives are released at 11:30 a.m., even though Patterson is unlikely to be on Atlanta's list. He should be started in most formats if active, as the two best rushing totals of his career (141 and 120 yards) have occurred this season, and he's averaging 16.3 carries per game.

  • Ronald Jones RB | DAL

Chiefs' Ronald Jones: Returns to practice Friday

Jones (illness) participated in Friday's practice, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports.

The extent of Jones' participation remains unclear, but it's encouraging to see him back after he was sidelined Thursday due to an illness. Regardless, Jones finds himself firmly behind Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Isiah Pacheco and Jerick McKinnon and has yet to be active for a game through the first three weeks of the season.

  • Dalvin Cook RB | DAL

Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Off injury report entirely

Cook wasn't listed on Minnesota's injury report Friday and will play Sunday versus the Saints, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Cook returned to a full practice Thursday, and he won't be required to miss any time despite suffering a dislocated shoulder Week 3. The veteran running back isn't unfamiliar with such injuries or playing with a harness to protect his shoulder, and he's previously displayed an ability to do so without requiring a lessened workload. In any case, fantasy managers can safely consider Cook on track for his usual top running back role Sunday versus New Orleans in London.

  • D'Andre Swift RB | CHI

Lions' D'Andre Swift: Not expected for Week 4

Coach Dan Campbell said Friday that Swift (shoulder) is "probably out" for Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Jeff Risdon of USA Today reports.

The Lions haven't yet given Swift an official injury designation for Week 4, but it sounds like Campbell considers the third-year pro 'doubtful' for Sunday's contest against Seattle. That would pave the way for Jamaal Williams and Craig Reynolds to lead Detroit's backfield while Swift works to potentially return Week 5 at New England. With Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) already ruled out against the Seahawks, the Lions offense could be without arguably its top two playmakers.

  • Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Officially questionable

McCaffrey (thigh) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

McCaffrey upgraded to limited practice activity after starting the week with back-to-back absences, and it looks like he has at least a chance to play this weekend. However, the Panthers may monitor McCaffrey's status until the last minute, so his status could come down to a game-time decision Sunday. The team has Chuba Hubbard and D'Onta Foreman on hand in case McCaffrey's touches need to be limited, or he ends up inactive. Per Steve Reed of the Associated Press, coach Matt Rhule said he's "very hopeful" McCaffrey will be available.

  • Trey Sermon RB | PIT

Eagles' Trey Sermon: Expected to make team debut Sunday

With Boston Scott (ribs) unlikely to play, Sermon is expected to make his Eagles debut Sunday against the Jaguars, Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com reports.

Sermon joined the Eagles following the initial 53-man roster deadline, but the second-year running back has been a healthy scratch for each of the first three games with his new squad. As a rookie with San Francisco last year, the 2021 third-round pick rushed 41 times for 167 yards and one score across nine appearances. It's unclear what his role with be during his debut, but Sermon will have a tough time garnering many touches behind Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell.

  • Boston Scott RB | PIT

Eagles' Boston Scott: Unlikely to play Sunday

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said Friday that Scott (ribs) isn't expected to play Sunday against the Jaguars, Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com reports.

Scott didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday due to a rib issue that he presumably picked up in the team's Week 3 win over Washington and probably won't be available for Week 4. In his likely absence, Trey Sermon is expected to make his Eagles debut as the third-string RB behind Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell.

  • Alvin Kamara RB | NO

    Saints' Alvin Kamara: Officially questionable

Kamara (ribs) is listed as questionable on Friday's injury report, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.

Kamara's status for Sunday's contest against the Vikings is up in the air after he logged a trio of limited practices this week. Meanwhile, the Saints already have Jameis Winston (back/ankle/hip) listed as doubtful and Michael Thomas (foot) ruled out, so the team can't afford to lose another playmaker of Kamara's level. If Kamara is able to suit up, he could benefit from increased target volume in Thomas' absence, likely catching passes from Andy Dalton.

  • Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Present at Friday's practice

McCaffrey (thigh) participated at the start of Friday's practice, Steve Reed of the Associated Press reports.

McCaffrey is coming off back-to-back missed sessions, but he's managed to shed the red jersey and replace it with a white uniform Friday. If the star running back is able to upgrade to at least 'limited' activity on Carolina's final Week 4 injury report, it will signify a step in the right direction for his chances of suiting up versus Arizona on Sunday. In any case, the Panthers will disclose an official game-day designation for McCaffrey on Friday.
