  • 49ers' Christian McCaffrey: Busy as pass catcher

McCaffrey rushed the ball seven times for 39 yards in Monday's 38-10 win over the Cardinals. He added seven receptions on seven targets for 67 yards.

McCaffrey was bottled up on the ground and held under 40 rushing yards for the second consecutive game. He managed to salvage some fantasy value with his work as a pass catcher, as he finished second on the team in targets and tied for the lead in receptions. Given the blowout nature of the game, McCaffrey earned only four touches in the second half, which also cut into his production. Even so, he's now managed to top 100 total yards in two of his three games as a 49er.

  • Chargers' Isaiah Spiller: Remains primary backup

Spiller tallied four carries for 11 yards and also caught both of his targets for an additional 11 yards in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Chiefs.

Sunday marked the biggest disparity in the platoon backup RB position as Spiller out-snapped Sony Michel 16-5, easily outgaining the veteran for the third straight game. The rookie hasn't done a whole lot with the extra opportunities, but it's likely he'll still be a factor when Joshua Kelley (knee) eventually returns off injured reserve.

  • Darrynton Evans: Bumps back down to practice squad

Evans reverted to the Bears' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Evans was elevated from Chicago's practice squad for the second time this season ahead of Sunday's loss to Atlanta. However, the 24-year-old running back once failed to record an offensive statistic, as he played six of his eight snaps on special teams Week 11. Evans will now be eligible for one game-day activation before requiring a full spot on the active roster in order to suit up again for the Bears in 2022.

  • 49ers' Tyrion Davis-Price: Healthy scratch again

Davis-Price (coach's decision) has been ruled inactive for Monday's game against the Cardinals.

Davis-Price saw his playing time fall off Week 8, and he will be a healthy scratch for the second game in a row. With the rookie sidelined, Christian McCaffrey, Elijah Mitchell and Jordan Mason will once again slot in as the 49ers' top three running backs Week 11. Davis-Price's next opportunity to suit up will come against the Saints on Sunday.

  • Chiefs' Clyde Edwards-Helaire: Dealing with high-ankle sprain

Edwards-Helaire sustained a high-ankle sprain Sunday night against the Chargers, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.

The report notes that Edwards-Helaire left the locker room Sunday with his right ankle in a walking boot, with the running back's status cloudy as this weekend's game against the Rams approaches. Even before injuring his ankle, Edwards-Helaire had been seeing a decreased workload, and if he misses time, Isiah Pacheco and Jerick McKinnon would be in line to continue to lead Kansas City's backfield.

  • J.J. Taylor RB | HOU

    J.J. Taylor: Let go Tuesday

Taylor was waived by the Patriots on Monday.

Taylor was active for one game this season for New England, which was Week 9 against the Colts, where he saw 10 carries and gained just nine yards. The third-year pro now will work to find a new opportunity elsewhere.

  • Chase Edmonds RB | WAS

Broncos' Chase Edmonds: Slated to miss time

Coach Nathaniel Hackett noted Monday that Edmonds is in line to miss "a lot of time'" with a high right-ankle sprain, Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com reports.

It remains to be seen if Edmonds is headed to IR, but it sounds like he's going to miss multiple games. With Melvin Gordon no longer in the mix, Latavius Murray, Marlon Mack and Devine Ozigbo (currently on the practice squad) figure to lead the Broncos' rushing attack this coming Sunday against the Panthers.

  • Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Limited during Monday's walkthrough

Elliott (knee) was listed as a limited participant on Monday's injury report, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.

The Cowboys held a walkthrough Monday, so the injury report is simply an estimate. Given Elliott returned from a two-game absence and saw 16 touches Sunday, it's a positive sign to see him participate at all the following day. Despite the injury designation, the veteran running back doesn't appear to be in any danger of missing the Thanksgiving tilt against the Giants, but he'll likely continue splitting work with Tony Pollard, who's been lights-out over the last three weeks.

  • Joshua Kelley RB | TEN

Chargers' Joshua Kelley: Expected to practice this week

Coach Brandon Staley said Monday that Kelley (knee) is expected to practice this week, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.

The third-year running back was placed on IR at the end of October due to a knee injury. When Kelley does return to practice, it'll open a 21-day window for the Chargers to add him to the active roster.

  • Marlon Mack RB | ARI

Broncos' Marlon Mack: Could be Week 12 backup

Mack is likely to work as the backup to Latavius Murray in Week 12 against the Panthers, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.

Mack slides up to second on the depth chart following the cut of Melvin Gordon and Chase Edmonds' high-ankle sprain. Devine Ozigbo is a candidate to be elevated from the practice squad against Carolina to compete with Mack for playing time behind Murray. Mack has yet to register a rushing attempt in 2022.
