  • Jeff Wilson RB | MIA

Dolphins' Jeff Wilson: Limited in practice

Wilson (hip) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.

Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Monday that Wilson nearly was able to play in this past Saturday's loss to the Bills -- a sign that the running back is expected back for this Sunday's matchup with the Packers. A return to full practice Thursday or Friday would confirm that expectation and allow Wilson to resume his role splitting backfield snaps with Raheem Mostert, who had season highs for rushing yards (136), scrimmage yards (156) and snap share (76 percent) in the Week 15 loss.

  • Chase Edmonds RB | WAS

Broncos' Chase Edmonds: Set to practice

Denver designated Edmonds (ankle) for return from injured reserve Wednesday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

Edmonds, who last suited up Week 11, has been cleared to resume practicing Wednesday and is thus a candidate to be added back to the 53-man roster in advance of Sunday's game against the Rams. If that happens, Edmonds would bolster Denver's backfield depth down the stretch, while likely moving into a complementary role behind Latavius Murray. In this past weekend's win over the Cardinals, Murray carried 24 times for 130 yards and a touchdown.

  • Nick Chubb RB | HOU

Browns' Nick Chubb: Team optimistic despite no practice

Chubb (foot) missed another practice Wednesday, but the Browns still have optimism he'll play in Saturday's game against the Saints, Tom Withers of The Associated Press reports.

The same reportedly is true of star defensive end Myles Garrett, though he's merely dealing with an illness while Chubb is nursing a foot injury. Chubb took on a season-high 70 percent snap share in this past Saturday's 13-3 win over Baltimore, suggesting his injury isn't too serious. In any case, Kareem Hunt presumably would get his first start of the season if Chubb were to miss Saturday's matchup with New Orleans, a game that's likely to be impacted by strong winds and possibly snow.

  • James Cook RB | BUF

Bills' James Cook: Finds end zone in key win

Cook carried five times for 34 yards and caught two of three targets for five yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 32-29 win over the Dolphins.

The TD catch was the first of Cook's NFL career, as he continues to have a sizable role behind starting RB Devin Singletary in a high-powered offense. While Cook has seen only nine carries over the past two games, he has now put up at least eight fantasy points in three of the past five contests, not bad production for a backup running back. His production could spike if the Bills -- currently the top seed in the AFC -- get to rest some starters for the final game of the season, and inexperienced players like Cook get a heavy workload.

  • DeeJay Dallas RB | JAC

Seahawks' DeeJay Dallas: Non-participant at walkthrough

Dallas (ankle) was listed as a non-participant on Tuesday's practice estimate, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reports.

Dallas has been sidelined for the Seahawks' previous two games and is in danger of missing a third. He will presumably need to get in some work at practice this week in order to get the green light for Saturday's game against Kansas City. No. 1 running back Kenneth Walker (ankle) was also a non-participant Tuesday, which leaves Travis Homer and Tony Jones as the only healthy backs on the depth chart.

  • Commanders' Antonio Gibson: Limited on estimated report

Gibson (foot) was listed as limited on Tuesday's practice estimate, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.

The Commanders held a walkthrough to kick off Week 16 prep, but Gibson continues to have practice limitations due to the foot issue that has lingered for the past few weeks. While he played 60 percent of the snaps Sunday night against the Giants, he mustered just 27 yards from scrimmage on seven touches. Fellow running back Brian Robinson rang in at 38 percent, but he was far more utilized en route to 13 touches for 107 total yards. Gibson doesn't seem in danger of missing Saturday's game at San Francisco, but his status still should be monitored this week to make sure he's on track to play.

  • Aaron Shampklin: Signs practice-squad deal

The Colts signed Shampklin to their practice squad Tuesday, JJ Stankevitz of the team's official site reports.

Shampklin was waived from injured reserve by the Cowboys at the beginning of September, but the undrafted running back out of Harvard appears to have moved past his ankle injury and will look to make the most of his opportunity with the Colts. Jonathan Taylor (ankle) is on IR for the remainder of the campaign, so Shampklin could be elevated to the active roster at some point, but for now, Zack Moss and Deon Jackson are in line to handle most of the backfield opportunities.

  • Damien Harris RB | BUF

Patriots' Damien Harris: Listed as LP again

Harris (thigh) is listed as a limited participant on Tuesday's practice report estimate.

Harris was limited all last week and ended up missing another game while Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle) ran for 172 yards in a loss to the Raiders. Even if Harris is back this Saturday against Cincinnati, it'll likely be in a secondary role off the bench.

  • Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Listed on injury report again

Stevenson (ankle) is listed as a limited participant on Tuesday's practice report estimate.

Stevenson played through the injury and ran for 172 yards in Sunday's loss to the Raiders, bouncing back quickly after the ankle sprain forced him from a Monday night win over the Cardinals six days earlier. He'll likely be out there and leading the New England rushing attack this Saturday in a trickier matchup with the Bengals.

  • J.K. Dobbins RB | DEN

Ravens' J.K. Dobbins: No practice for maintenance

    Dobbins (rest/knee) didn't practice Tuesday.

The decision to list him as 'rest/knee' suggests this is just about maintenance for Dobbins, who has stepped back in as the team's lead runner with back-to-back 100-yard games following his activation from injured reserve. His workloads have been modest, however -- 28 carries total while playing less than half the snaps in both games. It remains to be seen if his workload will grow as the Ravens fight for playoff position the next few weeks. Either way, he should be fine for Saturday's matchup with Atlanta.
