Jacques Patrick RB | NYJ
Jacques Patrick: Being let go by Titans
Tennessee is slated to waive Patrick on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Patrick linked up with the Titans mid-August, but he won't stick around ahead of Tuesday's deadline to trim down to a 53-man roster. However, Wilson reports that he's likely to resurface via the practice squad if he clears waivers, by virtue of his solid preseason.

Dalvin Cook RB | DAL
Jets' Dalvin Cook: In line to practice
Cook (shoulder) is slated to practice Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
This will mark Cook's first practice of the summer, and while it remains to be seen if he'll be a full participant, the running back's return to the field has him on track to be ready for Week 1. As the coming season approaches, Cook is in line to work in tandem with Breece Hall, who is working his way back from an ACL tear that he suffered last October. Assuming both backs are available, some form of a time-share figures to be in play initially as the Jets ease Hall into action out of the gate.

Spencer Brown RB | ATL
Spencer Brown: Cut by Carolina
The Panthers are slated to waive Brown on Tuesday, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Brown put together a solid preseason with Carolina, so he could resurface on the practice squad as long as he clears waivers. The team has expressed continued confidence that Miles Sanders (groin) will be ready for Week 1, but Chuba Hubbard and Raheem Blackshear are the only backs remaining on the roster should he have a setback.

Alex Armah FB | WAS
Alex Armah: Cut by Commanders
Armah is slated to be released by Washington on Tuesday, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
Armah is a strong candidate to re-sign with the Commanders again prior to the start of the regular season, per Standig. He's logged five total appearances with the team across the past two seasons, mostly contributing on special teams in those contests.

Tyler Badie RB | DEN
Tyler Badie: Gets cut loose
Badie was waived by the Broncos on Tuesday, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports.
Badie was signed by Denver off the Ravens' practice squad last December, but he was unable to secure a spot for 2023. The Missouri product saw one carry last season but didn't gain any yardage.
-
Jake Funk RB | JAC
Jake Funk: Waived by Colts
The Colts waived Funk on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Per Pelissero, the Colts hope to bring back Funk as a member of their practice squad if he clears waivers. The 2021 seventh-rounder spent time with both Indy and the Rams last season, but he didn't log a regular-season carry.
-
Jason Huntley RB | IND
Jason Huntley: Parts ways with Colts
Indianapolis is slated to waive Huntley on Tuesday, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.
Huntley becomes a candidate to reunite with the Colts via the practice squad, especially if a deal to trade Jonathan Taylor (ankle) does eventually emerge. The former New Mexico State standout suited up for five games with the Eagles from 2020-21.
-
Lew Nichols RB | PIT
Lew Nichols: Will get settlement
Nichols (shoulder) will reach an injury settlement with the Packers on Tuesday, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
Nichols dealt with the injury for much of camp, limiting the rookie seventh-round selection's chance at making the team. By reaching a settlement, he'll be free to pursue other opportunities for a chance to play in 2023.

Larry Rountree III RB | HOU
Larry Rountree: Doesn't make cut
Rountree was waived by the Texans on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Rountree joined Houston on Aug. 18, just a few short days after being let go from the Chargers. The Missouri product is a candidate to ultimately end up on the Texans' practice squad, according to Wilson.

Myles Gaskin RB | SEA
Myles Gaskin: Cut free by Miami
The Dolphins cut Gaskin on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Gaskin made 17 starts between the 2020 and 2021 seasons but then got only 11 touches over four games last year and tumbled further down the depth chart this offseason. He spent the preseason working behind Raheem Mostert, Jeff Wilson (undisclosed), De'Von Achane (shoulder) and Salvon Ahmed (head), and even undrafted rookie Chris Brooks made his case to surpass Gaskin on the depth chart. If Gaskin does get a chance elsewhere this season, it might be as a passing-down back.
