Deneric Prince RB | NE
Deneric Prince: Joins practice squad
Prince was picked up by the Chiefs' practice squad Wednesday.
With Isiah Pacheco, Jerick McKinnon and Clyde Edwards-Helaire ahead of him on the depth chart, Prince was always considered to be a long shot in terms of making it through final cuts. However, he will now get to remain in Kansas City and continue practicing with the team while he awaits the possibility of being called up should the depth ahead of him require it.

Kene Nwangwu RB | NYJ
Vikings' Kene Nwangwu: Going to injured reserve
The Vikings officially placed Nwangwu (undisclosed) on injured reserve Thursday, Lindsey Young of the team's official site reports.
Sidelined since late July due to an unknown health concern, Nwangwu will be required to miss at least the first four games of the campaign now that he's on IR. Minnesota's backfield will be paced by Alexander Mattison (undisclosed) this season, with Ty Chandler, newcomer Myles Gaskin and practice-squad member DeWayne McBride backing him up.

Jashaun Corbin RB | NE
Jashaun Corbin: Joins Carolina's practice squad
Corbin signed to the Panthers' practice squad Wednesday, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Corbin rushed for 51 on 15 carries in the preseason for the Giants before being waived by the team on Tuesday. The undrafted free agent out of Florida State will start the 2023 season on the Panthers' taxi squad.

Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Melvin Gordon: Joins Baltimore's practice squad
The Ravens signed Gordon to their practice squad on Wednesday.
Gordon had been let go by the Ravens on Tuesday, but he's back in the fold to provide the organization with some veteran backfield depth via the practice squad. J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards, Justice Hill and Keaton Mitchell are the running backs currently on Baltimore's 53-man roster.

Zack Moss RB | CIN
Colts' Zack Moss: GM mum on adding RBs
The Colts are hopeful that Moss (arm) will be available for Week 1, but general manager Chris Ballard hasn't ruled out adding another running back to the roster with Jonathan Taylor (ankle) set to miss at least four games while on the reserve/PUP list, George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports.
After undergoing surgery on his broken arm Aug. 1, Moss was given a rough recovery timeline of 4-to-6 weeks, which should give him a chance at returning for the regular-season opener Sept. 10 against Jacksonville or missing at most one game while he recovers. Indianapolis also has Deon Jackson and rookie fifth-round pick Evan Hull on the roster, but Moss profiles as the best early-down and goal-line option among that trio.

Demetric Felton RB | WAS
Demetric Felton: Set to join practice squad
Felton will sign with the Bengals' practice squad Thursday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Felton was waived by the Browns on Tuesday, but he's set to join their divisional rival via the practice squad following a physical. The 2021 sixth-rounder appeared in 24 games with Cleveland over the last two seasons.

DeWayne McBride RB | MIN
DeWayne McBride: Stays with Vikings' practice squad
McBride signed with Minnesota's practice squad Wednesday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
McBride failed to make the team out of training camp, but the 2023 seventh-round pick out of UAB will remain in Minnesota's organization. He could eventually play a role for the Vikings, though the team's 53-man roster has a crowded running back room, which includes Alexander Mattison (undisclosed), Ty Chandler, Myles Gaskin and Kene Nwangwu (undisclosed).

Zonovan Knight RB | ARI
Zonovan Knight: Joins Lions' practice squad
Knight signed with Detroit's practice squad Thursday, Colton Pouncy of The Athletic reports.
Knight failed to make the Jets' 53-man roster out of training camp, and rather than sticking around with New York as a member of the practice, he took the opportunity to join an organization with less running back depth. The only two running backs on Detroit's 53-man roster roster are Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery, so Knight may be just one injury away from being called up from the practice squad, much like he was down the stretch for the Jets as a rookie in 2022. He appeared in seven games for the Jets last season, carrying 85 times for 300 yards and a touchdown and recording 13 catches for 100 yards.

Ty Johnson RB | BUF
Ty Johnson: Joins Buffalo's practice squad
Johnson signed with the Bills' practice squad Wednesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports.
Johnson will provide organizational depth for Buffalo behind a relatively unproven backfield consisting of James Cook, Damien Harris and Latavius Murray. The former Maryland running back has appeared in 62 games between the Lions and Jets since joining the professional ranks in 2019.

Salvon Ahmed RB | CHI
Dolphins' Salvon Ahmed: Not at practice
Ahmed (head) isn't practicing Wednesday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
Ahmed was removed in the second quarter of Saturday's preseason game against the Jaguars and never re-entered the game despite reports indicating that he cleared the concussion protocol. He may have ended up in the protocol at some point following the game, but either way, it didn't keep him from making Miami's initial 53-man roster. Ahmed is joined by in the backfield by two healthy players --Raheem Mostert and undrafted rookie Chris Brooks -- and two other backs recovering from injuries (Devon Achane and Jeff WIlson). Achane (shoulder) practiced in a non-contact jersey Wednesday, while Wilson (undisclosed) didn't participate.
