Gaskin (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Steelers, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.

The Rams signed Gaskin off the Vikings' practice squad Tuesday after losing their top two running backs, Kyren Williams (ankle) and Ronnie Rivers (knee), to injuries in Week 6. However, the team wants to give Gaskin more time to prepare before potentially playing him in Week 8 against the Cowboys, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Jones (hamstring) is listed as active Sunday in Denver, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.

Jones missed three of four games after straining his left hamstring Week 1, but even with the benefit of the Packers' Week 6 bye, he wasn't able to log a full practice Wednesday through Friday this week. It remains to be seen if he'll be able to handle a full complement of snaps, but if he does, he'll push AJ Dillon back to a secondary role in the Packers offense. Considering his lack of availability this season, Jones doesn't have much output to speak of -- 141 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns in two appearances -- but he posted at least 1,190 total yards and seven-plus TDs in each campaign from 2019-2022.

Charbonnet (hamstring) is listed as inactive Sunday against the Cardinals.

A hamstring injury conspired to keep Charbonnet off the practice field for the entirety of Week 7 prep. Despite the lack of activity, he entered the weekend as questionable to play, but he eventually fulfilled a report from Adam Schefter of ESPN earlier Sunday that he wouldn't suit up for Sunday's game. With Charbonnet sidelined, DeeJay Dallas figures to garner any RB reps that don't go to starter Kenneth Walker, though undrafted rookie SaRodorick Thompson also is on hand for snaps out of the backfield.

Brightwell (hamstring) will not return to Sunday's game against the Commanders, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.

Brightwell did not record any stats before exiting, so it's unclear when he sustained the injury. Saquon Barkley and Matt Breida are New York's only remaining running backs on the active roster. Brightwell has nine carries for 19 yards in 2023.

Gray is considered questionable to return to Sunday's matchup with the Commanders due to a calf injury, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Gray failed to record any stats and muffed a punt prior to exiting the game. If he is unable to return, Gary Brightwell would be the No. 3 option in the backfield behind Saquon Barkley and Matt Breida, while also the top option to return kicks.

Reynolds (hamstring/toe) is listed as active Sunday at Baltimore.

Despite being capped to two limited sessions during Week 7 prep, Reynolds will gut through the hamstring and toe injuries that he dealt with in advance of this contest. With David Montgomery (ribs) sidelined, the Lions likely will lean on rookie first-round pick Jahmyr Gibbs (hamstring) out of the backfield, but Reynolds also should get some run. Through six games this season, Reynolds is averaging 3.7 yards on his 24 carries and has gathered in all three targets for 26 yards.

Hunt (thigh) is active for Sunday's game against the Colts.

Hunt had been listed as questionable and looked like a true game-time decision heading into Sunday after he had his practice reps limited throughout the week while he managed a thigh strain, but he showed enough in pregame warmups for the Browns to give him the green light to play. Though Hunt grinded out 47 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries to go with three catches for 24 yards in last week's win over the 49ers, he could see his role scaled back a bit this Sunday while he manages the injury. In addition to Hunt and starter Jerome Ford, the Browns are keeping two other running backs active against the Colts in Pierre Strong and Deon Jackson.

McCaffrey (oblique) is trending toward being active Monday against the Vikings, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Per Schefter, "all signs point to" McCaffrey -- who is officially listed as questionable after being deemed a limited practice participant Saturday -- being available versus Minnesota, with the running back indicating after Saturday's session that he feels 'great.'" McCaffrey's Week 7 status will be confirmed when the 49ers' inactive list is posted approximately 90 minutes before Monday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff. At this stage, McCaffrey is looking like he'll be ready to go, though it's unclear if he could face any limitations with his snap count or workload if active.

Dallas is expected to serve as the Seahawks' No. 2 back Sunday against the Cardinals with Zach Charbonnet (hamstring) listed as questionable but not in line to be active for the contest, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Kenneth Walker will remain Seattle's lead back and could take on a slightly larger share of the snaps and touches out of the backfield with his top backup out of the mix, but Charbonnet's expected absence clears the way for Dallas to at least have a change-of-pace role in the offensive game plan. While both Walker and Charbonnet have been available for each of the Seahawks' first five games, Dallas has played single-digit snaps on offense in every contest, recording five carries for 14 yards and three catches for 11 yards during that span.

Hunt is officially listed as questionable due to a thigh injury, but the Browns appear set to wait and see how he fares during a pregame workout before a determination is made on his availability. Jerome Ford will likely be the favorite to lead Cleveland's backfield no matter the case, but Hunt piled up 71 yards from scrimmage plus a score on 15 touches versus the 49ers in Week 6. Official word on Hunt's status will arrive when Cleveland releases its inactive list 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff.
